My fiancé and I have a home in Mayer, AZ, where we were using Santa Fe Propane. We are not here…read morefull time! A few months ago our propane was running low and we were looking into some other options for propane. Without our consent or even calling us they took it upon themselves and filled the tank and billed us. My fiancé called, thought we had it resolved and got set up for payments on the propane that was filled and billed to us without our consent. But now they came onto the property without a call beforehand, no consent and no permission and just took the tank! And while taking this tank they rolled over our septic tank with their extremely heavy piece of equipment! Now I have to have a inspection done on the septic tank because of their heavy equipment being parked on it! Also by taking the propane tank with out us knowing has left the home vulnerable to a pipe freeze which could lead to a pipe break and my whole home to be flooded! They have taken no action and have pretty much told us to puns sand and pay the bill! I will never use this company again!

Then they told me I was due to pay for the tank rental which I already payed. I asked for a morning delivery and was told that they would not give me a choice and they would get there whenever it fit their schedule so I have wait all day. What terrible customer service. I will be looking to change propane companies next year after 13 Years.

Disappointing and Unprofessional Customer Interaction…read more I stopped at this Roberts gas station to purchase a soda and a snack--something I've done many times before, as I am a regular customer. Unfortunately, this visit was a very negative experience due to the behavior of the cashier. When I approached the counter, I greeted the cashier, but received no response. As I was paying with my card, she began giving rapid, commanding instructions while I was already in the process of using the terminal. This became confusing rather than helpful. I calmly told her, "I'm sorry, I can do this--you're just confusing me." After that, the interaction noticeably changed. The cashier became silent and visibly upset. When the payment terminal had issues and needed to be reset--a situation outside of my control--she appeared to blame me and became increasingly irritated. Once the transaction was completed, I asked politely, "Did I do something wrong?" Her response was completely unacceptable. She told me that I was rude, said she "didn't need this," and then told me to "get out." I want to be very clear: I did not raise my voice, insult her, or behave disrespectfully. I am an older customer, and the confusion came from being spoken to abruptly while already following the payment process. That does not justify being spoken to harshly or being told to leave the store. What was especially disappointing is that I frequent this location. The only difference this day was my appearance--I was unshaven and dressed casually. Whether that played a role or not, no customer should ever be treated this way. I expect better professionalism, courtesy, and respect from a business I regularly support.

A young man began sweeping up the mess while I got another six bottles. At the register I handed the clerk my credit card when the manager came up and said, "No, here's your card back. You already paid for what you wanted and I want you to get it. We appreciate your shopping with us. Thank you." I left the store with far more than the six bottles I had wanted. Far far more. Up until this past weekend I would have given Barrett 5 stars and have recommended them to many. I…read moreown the fact that I foolishly put myself on will call instead of monthly top off..but I also own that I am older and think in the past the excellent customer service folks would have checked on me in the 8 months since I last got propane. I thought I was still on top off. I was wrong. On Saturday I had a very strong odor of propane at my back door, a good way from the tank. I called thinking I had a leak. The emergency guy told me he was very busy and it would be 3 hours, I was to close the valve and if I felt unsafe I should leave. When my neighbor went to close the valve she said that it appeared the needle was pointing straight down so I was probably out of propane. I called the emergency guy back and he said he was legally required to respond because I said I might have a leak. Then a couple hours later he called me and rudely said he "looked me up" and it was my fault I ran out so he would be charging me 199 dollars. I told him I didn't have 199 dollars and he suddenly was no longer legally required to come out. I called Monday and talked to Therese who said with a $100 payment I could make payments on the balance and they would give me just 60 gals in the delivery which she said would be on Monday. Then Lisa the manager called, said she refused to send out a delivery Monday, they would be out Tuesday. I told her I would need to be called before they came because I had a doctor's appt and a neighbor would have to be there. She said he would. Today no call, 92 not 60 gals so bigger bill, and no hot water heater lit. Lisa..the mgr..informed me he "didn't get the message" about calling, she never agreed to 60 gals, refused to ask Theresa if she had made that agreement. When she confirmed driver did NOT light the water she informed me I still had plenty of pressure so I should still have hot water. I explained to her emergency guy told me to turn the valve off so the pilot was out. The delivery guy, if he turned the valve on he should have known it needed to be lit. Customer service used to be excellent. Not any more if Lisa is involved. This is likely the last tank I buy from Barrett.

used to be a family owned business and was fantastic. since the change of ownership, customer…read moreservice has been atrocious. the guys in the field are still great and some in the office but the new manager could care less and when they make a mistake and you ask for resolution...they just say they'll lock your tank, even though you already paid for the propane in it. considering a move. if they just moved one person, maybe it could go back to the great experience we used to have with them.
