This is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades store. On the surface it seems like a Middle Eastern market,…read morewith bulk nuts, a large baklava selection, and frozen halal goat meat. But on the other hand, there's a large wine selection, and Italian pork products. In any case, if you're looking for a food that seems to be "cultural," you might find it here, and the prices might be better than Kroger. They have the best bulk nuts/grains I've found in town, and the De Decco pasta is a bit cheaper than Kroger. On the other hand, their baklava is just okay. They have East Asian selections too, but the selection is limited compared to the Chinese/Korean stores on the east side. But if you know what you want, you may well find it here.

All different kinds of chocolate, spices. Foods from all over the world - hence the name of the store. Noodles of all kinds, pasta of all kinds, sauces, exquisite soaps, make up. Interesting sodas and unique drinks from all over the world, an incredible wine selection and craft beers. I am probably leaving out a lot. All I know is anytime I need something interesting or exotic like when I had a craving for pistachio chocolate from Dubai - I knew world foods would have it. Or if I was making butter chicken, I can be certain they have what I need. I also made a lemongrass noodle soup with vercemelli noodles and I got them from here. I have also really enjoyed their exotic selection of soaps and bath products. This store is a never ending fountain of exciting and interesting options for when you're seeking something international to prepare for food or something to pamper yourself with. Fits nicely into Bloomington's ever expanding eclectic and diversity vibe. You gotta try it!

Excellent Thai restaurant with high marks for food, service, and atmosphere…read more I've tried the Thai fish cakes, sweet and sour saute, pad bus sa ra com, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea and coffee. The savoury dishes were all super flavourful, cooked well, and generously portioned. Maybe this has something to do with the dishes I got, but I think the flavours here are generally more intense than the other Thai restaurants I've tried in Bloomington, and their spice levels might be a little higher. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by level 3 (out of 5) at other places, so I tried level 4 the first time I ordered here, and it was a little too hot, so I went back to level 3 the next time, and it was just right. The Thai tea and coffee were both very good, especially the coffee. It almost tasted chocolatey. The service is consistently on top of it. I was there on Valentine's Day, and they were slammed but had enough staff on the floor for it; the food was quick as usual and everyone was still very friendly. I also love the atmosphere here. The building is one of the converted houses on 4th St, and there are different dining rooms, some with lots of windows, all filled with interesting decor, and there's also a very nice patio during the warmer seasons. The only problem here is, unless there's a back entrance I don't know about, I don't think the building is wheelchair accessible; you have to go up a few stairs to get to the main entrance.

All were great, fresh ingredients, served in concert, and quickly, too. This was a family meal, and all were delighted, including the children with chicken fingers and fries. We're trying to expand their horizons, but picky eaters are tough. The appetizers were especially good, and each has their own different sauce. My order was well-spiced, and there was enough taken home for a second delicious meal. This is perhaps the best and most consistent Thai food in Bloomington. There are rivals to this high throne, and we try them, too, but this is our go-to for no-compromise Thai, every order consistently great.

We worked closely with Cynthia for several months in preparation for our July 2016 wedding…read morereception at the IU Auditorium in Bloomigton, IN. We can't say enough wonderful things about Cynthia's service and expertise. Every other caterer we spoke with in town pales in comparison to Cynthia and her staff. The food: Simply put, our wedding reception food was incredible. Every bite was full of flavor and seasoned to perfection. One thing you should know about Cynthia is that she is obsessed with maintaining the integrity of the food she is serving. Sometimes that means that certain dishes may be served at room temperature to maintain the vibrancy and flavor. Our appetizers (crostini with goat cheese and brucetta and mini potatoes with Greek yogurt) were a huge hit, along with the tri tip beef, baked pasta and fresh veggies with homemade dipping sauces. I can't forget to mention the sweet potatoes...my friends texted me the next morning mentioning how yummy they were! Service: During the cocktail hour, reception, and dance time she meticulously catered to our guests (and us!) and went above and beyond. Our consultations and email exchanges were very clear and pleasant. She created our menu on the spot, and was very receptive to our preferences wth little direction. When most caterers would have packed up and left, Cynthia's staff stayed until the bitter end serving bite sized desserts to guests far after dinner/reception had concluded. During the planning phase, we loved that Cynthia let us try tiny samplings of her food before putting in a deposit, giving us our first glimpse into her love of hosting and feeding people. Our guests raved about the food after the wedding, making our special day that much more memorable! I highly recommend Cynthia for both small and large scale events.
