Mango chile lime & dulce de leche coconut pops!
    Victoria Y.

Rasta Pops has the tastiest selection of sweet treats! Whenever I see the little cart at Food Truck Friday or the Farmer's Market, my heart starts racing for what I'm about to consume. I know you can also purchase some popsicles at Bloomingfoods too if you can't find the cart. This time, I got the dulce de leche coconut pop which is caramel with coconut milk while my fiancé got the mango chile lime pop which is exactly what it sounds like. We inhaled our pops so fast and they were just what we needed in the hot Indiana heat. My popsicle was my favorite one that I've gotten and I've never had a popsicle I didn't enjoy. Currently the pops are priced at $4 for one and $7 for 2. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you wander across the cart!

    Flavors tonight at Foodtruck Friday

Popsicles have never been so good! Find their glorious cart of goodness around town via their Facebook page. $3 for most pops but totally worth $4 for the cheesecake pop. Everything is made from scratch and absolutely delish. Flavors range from mango to spicy chocolate and a million things in between. Almost too vibrant in colors to eat sometimes. The couple that owns and operates this place are super nice people and I love buying and talking to them every time. Another great Bloomington addition!

Not only is…read moreLa Poblana my favorite food truck, but I would argue that it is one of my favorite mexican spots I've ever been to. First, the food is absolutely amazing. I've visited La Poblana more times than I can count, so I've tried almost everything on the menu. Tacos, Quesadillas, Burritos, they have it all. This visit, I ordered the Chicken Burrito with a side of chips and guacamole. The burrito was incredible. La Poblana does an incredible job of balancing out each ingredient. There's never too much of each ingredient. It's always just right. The guacamole is so flavorful and tastes amazing with anything you could possibly buy. One of my favorite things about La Poblana is that you get to pick what salsa you want with your meal. I always get a side of both the mild green salsa as well as the spicy red salsa. Both of them are delicious compliments to your meal. Finally, you will never have better customer service. The people who run the La Poblana truck are so incredibly friendly and kind. Every single time I order, I am greeted with a huge smile, and they take such pride in serving their delicious food. If you are in the Bloomington, Indiana area, go check out this truck. I promise you, you will not regret it. God Bless America and God Bless Food! Your friend, Dan Hanis

The two people running the truck were friendly and efficient overall. We were pleased to find that they accept credit cards (I guess that's getting to be the standard, but you still find a stinker from time to time that only accepts cash). Both arepas were hot and tasty. I had the chicken arepa and it was assembled fresh on the spot. I have no idea what an arepa is supposed to be but the tortilla/shell thing around it was very moist and spongy. It was a different texture than what I was expecting, but I really liked it. The chicken was well flavored and the cheese complemented the whole thing well. After I finished eating, I inquired as to why they don't layer cheese and meat rather than just adding the cheese to the top. She said that is the more traditional way to do, so they prefer to stick with that. Works for me. Maybe give this food truck a try for yourself before passing a final judgment. I think Juancho's has a good thing going as far as late night food options in Bloomington.

Thanks to the good ole' internet I was introduced to their business a few months ago. The thing that amazed and attracted me the most about this business is that they are a perfect example of farm to fork....err, straw. When sharing their story with me, they told me how they visit the market to gather fruits, honey, etc. and cook down the fruit at home to create these ridiculously (in my words) delicious concoctions that pair with club soda. You can tell their product is made with love. Can't wait to have them at Yelp's Totally Bazaar in December! *Note: they also have catering/eats options!

On my way back to my car, I had to get a taste of Bea's Soda Bar. You guys... Strawberry. Rhubarb. Soda. I'll let you imagine this refreshing drink. I love seeing local entrepreneurs bringing concepts like this to towns I love. It reminds me of when Dad would take me to the old fashioned soda fountain in his hometown in a way. I opted out of hanging downtown for Taste of Bloomington, because it was already becoming a madhouse (and Mom was cooking goodies at home) so Bea's was my refreshing "something new" from my latest trip home. Such a sweet little business.
