Except they actually don't have the extra long in stock, she was going to just apply the Long tip halfway down my nail bed. I declined and asked for the extra long tips I'm paying for. She then took out "xtra xtra long" and said $85 for these. So completely skipped over extra long and still charged me. Whatever , I agreed because benefit of the doubt. Once the foundation is laid, they ask me what designs I want. I showed them several pictures as inspiration and described what I would like, open to all suggestions and directions. They quoted me an additional $75 on top of the $85, and although I was completely shocked , I figured I was just out of my budget and needed to pick another design. Everything I suggested was $60+ on top of $85. Finally I asked ok what about French tip?! They said $25 extra. Okay, very expensive but I hope they look good. Keep in mind the entire time, only 1 person in the whole salon spoke English and whenever I would ask a question, my tech would yell for the English speaker very annoyed as if I was a problematic customer. I also got a full set gel x pedicure, and needed one nail repaired as it's growing back from falling off. When my tech was removing dead skin from the sides of my nail bed, she snipped my skin and cut me. In total for full set xtra long French tip and French tip gel x pedicure, I paid $190 not including tip. 3 days later, my repaired toe nail came off. Okay, maybe it was just too small of a nail. BUT THEN ON THE 4TH DAY, MY FINGERNAIL BREAKS IN HALF. $190 for basic nails, that break not even a full business week later. So disappointed, will never come back.

She connects well to her clients and loves to talk during appts. She shares stores and is a great listener when clients talk during appts. Many of Lena's customers have been coming to her for years. Last, the quality of Lena's work is unparalleled. She takes time to make sure everyone's nails are done well. She cares for cuticles and upholds to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. She really attends to nails and makes sure her work is precise so product isn't on cuticles or uneven on nails. I unfortunately don't go all crazy and get wild or adventurous nails, but Lena still treats me like my nails are special. It's her care and meticulous skills that matter. My nail tech showed me the book of options and I loved one of the blue cat eye nails. When the paint went on my fingers it appeared to be just sparkly blue. The nail tech saw my disappointment and asked if I liked it and I expressed that it was not cat eye but more of a sparkly paint. I don't really like sparkly paint so I hated it. She asked if I wanted to change it and when I asked if it would be too difficult, she said yes because she already added a second layer. When I discussed it more she said that they don't have the right paint that matched the book of cat eye nails she showed me and I was thinking, then why didn't you tell me beforehand that you couldn't do the cat eye. So I felt stuck with it and left unhappy. I am also bothered with how thick the nail is. It's like a shell on top.
