This is my 3rd attempt at finding a nail salon near my home to frequent and dare I say I found the one ?!?!? I walked in without an appointment today and they were able to see me right away. Long story short I got my nails done last week (literally 7 days ago) at perfection nails #3 and it started chipping 2 days later hence reason why I needed a new place. I got Kim and she was attentive and took her time. She's fairly new to the store but she's been doing nails for a very long time. We chatted away and found things we were able to talk about and I always enjoy talking to my technicians because it makes the time go faster. She was very delicate with my fingers and seeing the time she spent on my hands made me think the lady last week barely did anything to my cuticles ! I'm so grateful that she was so nice and accommodating. She was also gentle which I appreciate!! The vibe was chill. They have pretty comfortable chairs. I didn't do a pedicure so I didn't sit on the massage chairs but everything seemed very clean and bright. It had a cute vibe to it. The process took almost an hour. My new hidden gem! I went in for a pedicure and manicure. My mom got a pedicure and the service was amazing. We called the day before to schedule our appointment. The place is super clean an inside and this may sound funny but they have some good cold water. I highly recommend calling and making an appointment. I can't believe I left my other nail place. I do honestly love it here, this is probably one of the best nail salons I've been to. I usually get a mani and a pedi and they go in deep in taking out everything on your nails and toes like they really take there time is doesn't feel rushed at all! I had gotten my nails done at a different nail salon and right away the paint job was horrible...two weeks later my nails were chipping and the acrylic was looking like it had been there for a month....I looked up a few nail places but this place wasn't busy so I walked in and Kim took care of me. I stopped going to cocos nail a while back now I remember why. I decided to give them another chance why not only to find out that Nicole was out of the country and hubby running the show. I get there I waited after I was told I over the phone I wouldn't then when my nail girl finally started on me she rushed through the whole thing then sends me off to my pedicure girl to finish the polish. I told this one I have a hair on my nail what she do, she just painted over it to cover it up. Lastly I was distracted when he tells me my bill was 91$ with fees he charges my atm only to later see an off charge of 93.28$ wtf now I'm paying cents too I have never seen this and if so why for what? Def over charged for a ok service I requested a pedicure and fill that's what I paid I was clear I only wanted a regular pedicure $28 she insisted I get the higher one well I know I got the regular but they decided to charge me for the higher one or I paid $63 for a fill! This salon is literally a hidden gem in West Covina. I broke a nail yesterday and called to see if they can squeeze me in at 4:00pm and they were able to do so! I walked in and was greeted immediately by the owner of the salon. The removal of my acrylics was PAIN FREE! Literally pain free it was amazing I decided to get a pedicure during the removal process and they were easily able to accommodate my request. This was so relaxing and my nail techs that worked on my hands and feet took their time, ensured the best application, and were extremely detail oriented. Love getting my nails done at Coco! I've been a few times already and I always love the end results. I have tried gel-x, gel, and dip powder manicures here, and I think they do a great job. The only thing I will note is that for their dip powder manicures, they still have you put your hand under the uv/led lamp after each round of dip powder application. Just something to be aware of as I don't personally like this method/process. Other than that, my nails always look great after a visit. If you plan on visiting, I would recommend bringing cash with you. They accept credit cards however I believe they charge $1 extra and tips must be in cash. read more

If you're looking for somewhere that does Gel X nails well, this is the spot for you! My friend recommended this spot, and I was not disappointed. Ken took his time, and I could tell he was laser focused on making my nails look perfect. I asked for french tip ombre with pearl sheen on top, and that is exactly what I got! I also got a gel pedicure done by Yvonne and she did a meticulous job. On a side note, if you are curious about Gel X, it is a fairly new process that is essentially like acrylic nails, but it is a non-toxic soft gel extension system. I heard these last 3-5 weeks, your real nails are less susceptible to damage, and you can easily remove them at home by soaking your nails in acetone. I am sure Gel X will gain more traction and popularity very soon. The facilities were clean, there was ample parking, and the prices were reasonable, not outrageous. Please keep in mind that tip must be in cash, and they have an ATM machine inside for those who need to pull out. I will definitely be back, thanks Coco Nails! read more

I got a gel French tip 4/5/24 with my mom, and both of our nails started peeling by 4/15. They didn't even last us the full 2 weeks at the very least.
