First time going in for a pedicure, will probably be my last. My toe nails were completely botched. The lady cut my nails all different shapes and didn't clean them correctly. I went in with a 3 week old pedicure, which honestly looked better than what I left with. Aside from all this, the lady took about an hour to do the job, I don't think it should take anymore than about 30 minutes. Overall pretty disappointed. read more

Called Crystal nail spa and they were so sweet, they were able to fit me in immediately that same day. I went down there and the atmosphere was friendly. I loved that the place was very clean and tidy. They looked at my nail and were able to get it fixed and repainted in under 30 min! They offered me water and candy. So hospitable. I have been coming to this Nail shop every 2 weeks for over a year, every time I got a manicure and pedicure they did a great job, there was one occasion when I didn't completely like my manicure and calmly voiced this to them, I assume since I am a loyal customer they did not charge me for the manicure and said to come back tomorrow to redo it. If there ever is anything I don't like I voice it and they do everything in their power to try to fix it, I don't keep quiet and complain about it later. They have great hospitality, they will bring you water when you arrive and candy after your manicure or pedicure are done and are very kind. There have been times where I walk in at 6:45 pm (they close at 7 pm) and they will still calmly do my manicure-pedicure and I absolutely appreciate this. I never make an appointment and just walk in, if there is ever a wait, even though I didn't have an appointment they will apologize for me having to wait. I believe regardless of the other "bad" reviews, if you are considering getting your nails done here you should definitely give them a try and you might find yourself loving this place too. read more

3 hours i spent here I called and they said 10 minutes and it was 10 to 6 . I arrived at 6 , so they put me in a spa chair where i waited for 40 minutes until the man started on my pedicure. About 10 minutes into the pedicure he cuts my middle toe and then my big toe. At about 7:30 they finally start my full set. He was still doing my pedicure because he kept messing up and had to take of the mail polish twice ....at the end of it all it was 8:30 pm Mind you i got there at 6 pm Also charged me full price for a gel pedicure even though i was cut -31$ Crooked full set -32$ Way to over priced for mediocre nails and service .-. 3 weeks out and I'm about to go in for a fill...the acrylics are barely starting to lift and they still look great...at my old place they would start popping off after 1.5-2 weeks. I just moved to the area and I am happy to find such a clean and quality place with attentive staff. They seem to value their customers by offering friendly conversation and bottled water and I noticed they keep chatter between each other to a minimum which is rare to find in a nail shop these days . I also got a gel pedicure and my toes are still looking good for almost a month out. They are pretty reasonably priced too...the prices were only around $10 than I would pay at my old nail shop and the durability of my full set was well worth the extra money spent. read more

I've been getting my nails done for a long time now and throughout the years I have moved from Long Beach to Glendale to Glendora, Covina and Ontario. I have had a very hard time finding a nail place that I like and consistenly go to. I have finally found one! Christine, Ray, Lani and Nancy are all amazing and very attentive. They all do an amazing job and make you feel important. They do take a long time, but that's only because they take their time and do the job right. When I moved to Covina over 2 years ago, I was worried about finding a nail salon. The couple that I tried were awful - gloppy polish, terrible manicure, etc. - so I almost resigned myself to having to go out of my way to a good nail salon. When Crystal Nails opened, I tried it out with trepidation--and have never gone anywhere else! I don't know what they do, but their manicures last longer on me than any others (I have weak nails that chip easily). Their pedicures are fantastic - and the nail techs have seen me through some really rough times, like when someone stepped on my feet and my big toenail almost came totally off. Ever since the first time I went, the owners remember my name (which has NEVER happened before) and are always really friendly. I bring as many friends as I can here (when they'll come out to Covina), and the owners remember their names as well every time I go back! They have a decent nail color selection from OPI, but sometimes I bring my own (just to make sure I can touch up while at home). A good manicure and pedicure costs about $30-35, I think? (I can't remember, but I know it's reasonable.) read more

As always I am NEVER disappointed. I call Christy to see what time I can come in and she is very accomadating. I get off work late and they close at 7pm so she got me in at 630pm. Im complicated with my nail shape and she always makes it perfect and never complains if I ask her to fix something. They also do gel if u are a fan. They are also very clean and helpful here. I'm one of those guys who likes to have professionally groomed nails. Wearing flip-flops means all 20 get attention. It had been a while since I took care of them and the claws needed attention. I just moved to downtown Covina a couple of months ago and figured while I was out it was time to take care. I'm not crazy particular of where I go as long as they do a good job and its convenient to get to. I wasn't going to the old neighborhood to do this, so I took a chance and asked my IPhone where the nearest nail shop is. It's risky, but I needed it done. I walked in and asked if I can get a manicure and pedicure. I was told the price was $30 and I said OK. Anna was called and we got started. I've seen reviews on other nail spas where a common complaint is that the people working there just talk to each other in their own language. That never bothered me. I just want my nails done. Anna was different. She asked my name and told me hers and asked me a few things along the way. By the way, I'm blind and Anna, unlike a lot of people, asked what happened to my eyesight. Then she asked me how I found them. BTW, smartphone technology has increased independence a lot. I have an app that will tell me how far away from a place i am and it's relatively accurate. She asked me if I had an app to tell me how good a job she did. I thought that was funny. I can tell by touch and also the amount of effort put into it. For instance, for what some places call a foot massage should be called a foot rub. Anna did a really good job. I'll be going back again. read more

Not the best mani/pedi I've had, but also not the worst. Both chipped within a couple days, but it was a birthday celebration in Vegas, so I guess it's not that surprising. But the mani chipped within hours, just from doing everyday things, so that was a bummer. The woman who did my mani (one of the older women) also practically scolded me for having cut my nails beforehand (I wouldn't have done this anyway, except I hadn't been planning to go to the salon) and for painting my finger nails a dark color. Um...isn't that my own choice? She also waxed my eyebrows and upper lip and I got a weird bump the next day above my mouth, but luckily that went away after a few hours. I might come back if I was in need of a mani/pedi since it's a decent job and a good price ($26 for both) but there are many other better salons and nail technicians out there. read more

Really nice ladies and it's cheaper than most places I've been to (47 for gel nails and spa pedi), but I'd rather pay more money to get better end product. Communication was hard. She did not understand "I want glitter only bottom half of my nails" and kept putting it on the whole. After a few attempts I gave up and let her be. The clear gel on both of my middle nails globbed onto one side so there is a noticible bump on each nail. On One of my finger the color doesn't come all the way to the bottom. My pedicure is a mess. I could have made a big stink but like I said they were nice and I think the lady was really trying but she just really sucks. I'll keep it for a week but I gotta go back to my regular place and never come back here. Quite honestly, I've never had worst pedi. read more
