I got Mike's contact from visiting card sticked to my mailbox. I read the reviews in yelp and called him and scheduled the maintainence of my lawn ( twice a month). He came in the next day & mow the lawn and he did a decent job. But he just disappeared after that and didn't replied to my messages and blocked my number too. When I called from other number after a month waiting ... he picks up and says, he is busy & will not be coming. That's really bad attitude. Mike has been my landscaper for years and I trusted him so much that I prepaid him for 2 years of service when I moved out of state. We have had Mike doing our yard since 2014. HE is honest, hardworking and honestly a really great value. He always shows up on his assigned day and once or twice I forgot to unlock it and he even made time to come back and do our yard another day that week.... which is honestly unheard of. The only time he has 'missed" a week was when the fires up north were so bad we wanted to pay him but have him skip our yard. Mike responded to my text same day, he said that he was all booked for the time being unfortunately & judging by his Yelp reviews, it didn't surprise me. Mike is a very in demand guy. Mike said he might be able to squeeze me in depending how much work was needed & offered to stop by. Turns out, Mike mentioned he already does a recurring Yard Service for a neighbor of mine that lives down the street. Long story short, the guy who did my Tree Removal Service mentioned to me that his business also did a recurring Yard Maintenance service as well so my family decided to go with them. Great work and friendly at a reasonable rate. He comes twice a month and maintains our backyard. He takes the yard trimming with him as well. We pay monthly at the time of the first visit. My backyard was a mess and hadn't been touched in almost 2 years. There was tall grass, weeds, and small trees with protruding branches blocking pathways; It needed some help badly. I called Mike after finding him on Yelp and reading all the positive reviews and he was able to look at the yard and give me a quote the same day I called. He detailed what he saw in the yard and what the job would entail, and made sure I understood what he needed to do. Mike said he could come out the coming Sunday morning around 9-10am to work on it and I accepted the quote. Sunday came along and he arrived a few minutes after 10am (no big deal, a street was unexpectedly closed nearby my home), he introduced himself and walked through the yard with me, explaining what he was going to do. After about 2 hours, Mike finished whacking all the weeds, cleared the tall grass, and trimmed away overgrown trees that were blocking the pathway to the yard. He even offered to spray some weedkiller along the path to the backyard, free of charge. I'm very satisified with his work and attitude, and would recommend him for any gardening work. read more

We've been struggling to find someone to take care of our small but jungle-like backyard. Everyone we have tried to use in the past few months have been no shows or uninterested in helping us. Finally tired of yardwork and having weeds all over my yard, I found Yards By Mike on Yelp. I left a voicemail to get an estimate, and he called back within an hour. We set up an appointment that very day. At first I just wanted to try a one time appointment to clear out all the weeds. His rates were very reasonable and the yard looked a ton better after he and his team were done with it. I also had him trim some of the bushes too. I have him come monthly now, and each time the work is done as expected. Sometimes I ask him to trim certain trees, and it's done very well. Highly recommend him and his team. My husband read the reviews on Yelp and contacted Mike. He dropped by our place promptly to give a free estimate. I met him and within the first 5 minutes I knew I liked him, he seemed genuinely sincere and he also shared his life story and gave details on the kind of work he does. Then I gave him a tour of our front and backyard. The quotes he gave were very very reasonable and we asked him to come mow our front and back yards. We have a lot of fruit trees and a lot of apples get dropped this time of the season. Mike cleaned up the whole yard and blew the leaves, trimmed the overgrown bushes and also picked and trashed all the fallen fruit. He did a very clean and prompt job and managed to impress us. When my first gardener didn't show up and the yard was looking ugly again, I called around to a few places. The first few didn't answer or respond until hours later. I was able to reach Mike while he was at lunch, and he promised to call me right back. 5-10 minutes later, he did and we were able to find out he was conveniently nearby. So he came right over and gave me a most reasonable quote, and even said he could do it that same day since our garbage pick up was the next. I was quite pleased. Shortly after, he was able to come out and give me an estimate. He arrived on time, was very professional, and gave me an estimate that was extremely reasonable. To be honest, I have had gardeners in the past and have felt taken advantage of by the amount of money they have charged me to do the work. Mike came out today to work on the yard.
