Meh. Let me start by saying I didn't even come here for coffee. Which, based on the vibe, might have been a blessing. If the coffee is as stale as the staff's enthusiasm, I really dodged a bullet. I came for a cookie. Why? Because social media told me I needed this cookie. Influencers made it sound life-changing. Spiritual. Transcendent. Was it? Not really. Was it bad? No. It was... fine. But let's be honest how badly can you mess up a chocolate chip cookie? I feel like it's probably more complicated to craft one of their overpriced oat-milk-half-caf-foam-art masterpieces than it is to mix butter, sugar, and chocolate chips. Did the cookie change my life? No. Was it the best cookie in the city? Also no. Was it... a cookie? Yes. It was definitely a cookie. The place itself is tiny, but it's NYC. You're expected to grab your item and vacate the premises before you finish blinking. Now the service. About as warm as the cookie (which is to say... not). But hey, it's New York. I once read that NYC isn't full of rude people it's full of people who just don't have time to be nice. This spot is clearly staying on brand. Would I come back? Nope. Not a chance. There are too many actually-great cookies in this city to settle for "influencer famous." read more

LOVE this place! Here all the time because they serve Sey Coffee and have a different roast rotating through regularly but they also sell the beans which is super immportant for people who like to make their own coffee at home. Sey is consistently voted as one of the best coffee roasters in NYC and regularly makes Top 5 lists, and once you try their coffee through Yanni's, you'll know why. Why bother going to BK when Sey has a home right here in Manhattan ? It's a small shop, offering a selection of pastries, with some bar seating and so it's cozy and does have some chairs to sit for a bit. The baristas are friendly and they have loyalty cards. The oat cappuccinos here always hit and have hit ever since I've started coming here for the past few years. read more

Gonna be honest, I only stopped into Yanni's because I was in a rush and it was the first coffee place I saw while walking up Seventh Ave. I was expecting something average at best, but I was pleasantly surprised after trying the two drinks I ordered. The cold brew was rich and smooth, with a hint of nuttiness and not watered down at all. It was perfect black and unsweetened on a hot day. The iced latte was also excellent--well-balanced, with espresso that was not burnt at all. i kept hearing about this coffee shop so i finally checked it out and omg im so happy i did because it absolutely lives up to the hype! their espresso is divine and i will need to be coming back for the chocolate chip cookie which i've heard is the best in NYC! there isn't a ton of seating inside or out, but they do have some so if you get lucky you can sit there & the baristas were super sweet and it was very quick service even though they were constantly busy. it's super cute inside and i absolutely will be back to visit again read more

favorite coffee I've found in Manhattan, espresso is great, cortado was awesome, prices are on the high end but worth it. The espresso here is so freaking good. I just opted for an iced latte with almond milk, nothing fancy, and the drink absolutely blew me away. The espresso had a bit of a nutty flavor and the milk was perfectly balanced with the depth of the espresso -- not too milky at all. Wish I lived closer... I would be a local! We stopped in Yanni's on the way to the High Line for a coffee to go. I asked if I could get an iced flat white, since I was in an espresso mood and they were able to do it for me. I love that the barista confirmed that it's basically just an iced latte with less milk. Why yes, that's exactly what I wanted! Yanni's is a locally-owned coffee shop in the Chelsea 'hood offers coffee and baked items. I had the mocha with whole milk, extra hot - it could have been more hot, but I enjoyed it so much, that I didn't really mind. This was super delicious, and probably one of the best mochas I've had! Staff could have been more acknowledging in terms of patrons coming in and taking orders; there was a slight lull at the cashier. There are only a handful of seating, but most get their items to go. Cute Coffee Shop find here in the WS. Everyone was kind and patient with us, and the inside was small, light, and clean. We got iced vanilla lattes which I tasted it to be more on the sweeter side, and their butter croissants. This cafe is definitely slept on! Loved their coffee, but their choc chip cookie was an absolute SHOWSTOPPER. gooey on the inside and crispy outsides. Ah! I love visiting locally-owned coffee shops and this one is such a cute little place that I will def visit again. Of course I ordered a caramel latte (Starbucks girl here) and the barista nicely explained how they serve theirs and offered me something similar that tasted amazing! I ended up staying to read my book for about 3hrs as I was waiting for a friend to arrive to Chelsea. Honestly I was pretty disappointed in my coffee. I'd been wanting to try this place for months, so it's sad to admit. I got a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was just bad. We are talking two extra costs to change the latte to what I wanted it to be and it still tasted bad. The espresso is not good and I don't know what vanilla they out in there but the coffee didn't taste like vanilla and had a horrible after taste. Stopped into this cozy new coffee spot for one of their cookies - homemade, thick, crispy, and doughy at the same time. An incredible and rare balance in a cookie. Also had an Americano which was smooth and a Chai Latte which was so sumptuous, with a cloud of foam at the top. It didn't have that synthetic over-gingered taste of most Chai's. I would definitely get it again. Their white chocolate-oatmeal cookies are incredible - hearty, mountainous, like a filling breakfast treat that's sweet and addictive. And while I'm not even a fan of white chocolate, these have won me over! I could eat two in a row. The owner Yanni is also such a kind, hard-working guy. He left the advertising industry to open his own coffee shop, and it's so great sitting at a table, watching crowds of people scooping up his delicious cookies and coffee. It was about six or seven, which is of course too much to pay, but it's Chelsea and that's how much lattes cost in Chelsea. Here, you get precisely what you pay for.
