Yuppie Puppy shaved our cat bald without our permission during a routine cat grooming appointment…read more Upon calling to discuss the issue and lack of communication, the groomer suggested that they made clear that our pet would be shaved bald and that this has full approval. This is inaccurate. I was told "He has some matting and will need to cut a little shorter to take that off." This sounds a lot like de-matting. What this did not indicate was a full body shave down to the skin, even across areas with no sign of matting whatsoever. The result was a lazy shave, since it's easier to just do a buzz cut than to actually handle or groom an animal. See before and after photos below to form your own judgement. For clarity, I will note that I fully see the validity of complaints from previous reviewers. The etiquette after an incident is sorely lacking. It seems that management spends most of their time online picking fights with their reviewers rather than ensuring the wellbeing of pets under their watch. Just saw the dog who had his ear cut off during grooming, so I guess we got off lucky with a bad shave and an attitude! Update: Be warned - the owner's note below is false. My husband wrote this review. Why would my husband write this review if he was fully aware of what was being done to the cat?
