I went to Apolda Kennels because it has been in our Aurora community for years now and I like to support local business when I can. Benny always is eager to come back home and we are happy to receive him nice and clean and we have never had any complaints from John. I'm seeing some of the other reviews on boarding and for that I can not speak on but whenever I go out of town my dog stops eating on his own and gets depressed. I don't necessarily think it's the Kennels fault for dogs not eating. It's also a service that has upcharge features, for extra walks, individual play time, etc., which can get very pricey and I can see people hoping that those services are included with boarding. I would recommend a dog sitter in home, when possible, to not stress your dogs out more by your absence.

Jen and Taylir provided him with structure and made training fun for him. It's clear by how much he loves them that they love what they do and they're incredibly good at what they do. Now he loves training and will seek out training daily, he'll start doing heel, or place because it's fun for him. We love how excited he is to go to daycare as well, especially because he'll be put to work. When guests come over he'll now hold place and wait for them to greet them, and be released when calm. I highly recommend training for your dog, it's a worthwhile investment.

They take the time to listen to the issues you're having and develop a training plan specific to you and your pet's needs. It's easy to see they love what they do and genuinely care about the animals in their care. Having trainers who understand its not a cookie cutter solution is really great! I have a pup who is working through a lot of anxiety issues and fear aggression when people enter the house even if she is familiar with them. Sara has come out multiple times to see first hand how she is acting and was so positive and patient with her. I have learned so much from her about how to keep my pet comfortable and confident. Thanks again!

They're always genuinely friendly and professional. I think this service is a bargain- convenient, keeps my dogs close to home, they do a phenomenal job, and my dogs don't seem stressed or anxious at all (they can be a little neurotic!). ** updated because I want to mention how kind and personable the groomer is- she's a gem, and my dogs adore her.

Ladies and Gentlemen,…read more Please do not give your services or money to his horrific woman and her "Employees." I had her services for 1 month and 2 weeks and was the worst times. 1st She wanted to do a one week and one month evaluation on not just our dogs, but us as well. She would walk them for 15 min and immediately state the problem with the dogs and us. Within one month, if no improvement were made, she would automatically charge us for each dog behavior's training and give us proper etiquette on how to care for our dogs. Both of our dogs are 6 and 1 year old. What came next was awful. I came home early from work and saw that her employee came and she just picked up my dogs. I saw from my window what would have made even a tough man tear up. Her employee would drag my oldest across the yard even in mud and would not let her stop to urinate and/or defecate. She would come in the home filthy and her excuse was that she was unable to control her actions. My little pup was always afraid of her and I knew why. Her employee was hitting my dog in the behind with what looked like a shovel to pick up the poop. And she would pull on the leashed and see that she was dangling her from it. I was so angry. I called her and confronted her demanding that her services were no longer needed. She gave me a smirk and said "I will see to it that my lawyer sues you since we never agreed to end this contract." I never signed a contract or have copy of it. "A verbal contract is binding and since it's my word against yours, I would win." Ok I played her bluff; I called my attorney and asked about this "contract". She became nervous and scared. In the middle of our conversation, she interrupted me and said "I will cancel the contract and no longer work for you." And she stormed off. A few weeks later she left several emails and voicemails about how terrible I was and that she would call the police on how I was treating my dogs and abusing them. Nothing came from it since they were scare tactics. Please I beg you, do not use her services.
