This is as honest a review as you can ever read. I hired EP after searching for competitive quotes…read moreto trim the crepe myrtle in the front of my house. The full service I contracted for was: trim the crepe canopy back by 1/3, full yard mow, leaf clean up, and flower bed clean out. Bottom Line Up Front: I was not pleased - but this company came and made things right by me within 12 hours. While their attention to detail could use a little focus, their customer service is fabulous - and the reason I will stay a customer. The day of the scheduled service I was at work, but watching the service via my security cameras. As I watched I saw the crew working on the tree. I frantically called the office, and explained how it looked to me that the crew was removing the tree, which I did not want. Patiently, the man on the other end of the line informed me that this was a proper prune for a crepe myrtle - a fact which I did not know as I have never owned a property with this kind of tree before. He did contact the crew and advise them of my concerns, and while they did complete a proper full pruning (which - to be fair - is not what I asked for, but needed to be done and will ultimately help the tree) they finished with the tree. When I got home, I noticed they did not clean out the flower bed, as per the agreed upon quote. And here is where they won me over. I took a picture, sent and email and called. The following morning, two men called and came to my property. I spoke with Michael, showed him the flower bed, and the confirmatory email I had sent specifying exactly what I wanted. He agreed that I had requested the service, and they did not perform it and they immediately took care of it. Michael wasn't defensive, he didn't have an attitude, he wasn't impatient. He was apologetic, professional, and fast. They got it done. At the end of the day, you always have to communicate clearly. But even when you do, things sometimes get lost in translation. I greatly appreciate working with a company that truly WANTS customers to be happy, and takes the time to respond professionally to concerns by making things right. Thanks EP Mowing!

They came every two weeks to cut the grass but today will be there last day. While cutting her grass something flew and hit the glass on the front door and it shattered. She let them know and they came and looked. He explained his brother deal with glass work and windows and would he will repair it for free and he told her she wouldn't have to pay for the grass being cut this time due to the damaged. Once the door was repaired she noticed how the sliding part was hard to move around and let him know of that issue and he stated he will oil it for her then he asked for a payment for the grass being cut and she repeated what he told her about how the grass cut will be free. He replied back and said I just said that cause I was coming back to fix the glass. They talked back and forth about it and in a rude manner he told her she can find someone else to fix the door and the grass and left. My grandmother is a 85 year old women who lives on her own and I feel like they tried to get over on her for the damage they made...I will not recommend them to no one and will be letter others in the neighborhood who use them know of this behavior!

There are many reasons I've continued to use Moyers over the years, and my latest contract with…read morethem is another example of their exemplary service: I needed shrubs pruned, mulch relaid, and an overgrown lawn mowed and trimmed. Dale, Jesse, and the office staff were professional and informative in all their communications (email, in person, phone). The crew's results showed that they worked carefully around internet cables, ornaments, etc., and cleaned up well. One part of the contract wasn't quite done, but a quick email from me had them out within a day to finish the job. I understand lawn service rates vary greatly, but based on this and my history with Moyers, they provide a good value. Recommend!

Work…read moreincluded two wooden retaining walls and two rock-lined swales connected to an underground drainage pipe to manage rainwater run off on a steep hillside, as well as replacement of our main concrete-reinforced cinder block retaining wall. We initially contracted with Stone Garden for the rain management work in late spring. The work was fast - estimated at 1-2 weeks but done in 3 days! At one point they had 7 people on site. The working crew was very thoughtful - they helped us move daffodil bulbs disturbed by the construction, carefully cleaned up after the work, and even helped my husband move some bags of yard waste unrelated to their work. A torrential storm followed this first project, leading to the failure of our (pre-existing) main retaining wall. We turned to Stone Garden to replace it, upgrading with some additional drainage features and a brick facade. It was difficult to get the follow on work scheduled due to communication delays and a busy calendar of other projects. After two months the follow on work started. While the retaining wall was built fairly quickly it took another month for the masons to come finish the brick facade. I had other outdoor work scheduled and luckily we were able to deconflict it. Overall, the work is high quality, reasonably priced, and is holding up well. Sam and his team are skilled and professional. Just get scheduled early, the Stone Garden team is in high demand!
