I have a favorite masseuse, who knows me on sight (despite my having lost a good 50lbs since the last time I saw him), and he is incredible: frightfully strong, competent hands, that somehow know what I'm suffering from, and how to fix it, without me uttering a word. Last night's visit was a little different. My wife has been suffering from a pinched nerve in her back for almost two weeks now, which has caused all manner of excruciating pain in her neck, shoulder blade, and radiating all down her right arm, to the point of bringing her to tears. Despite her incredibly high pain tolerance, she has declared, on more than one occasion, that she would "rather be in labor again" than have to deal with the agony any longer. It was time to call in the big guns. Fortunately, my long time masseuse was still there, and available. After sitting her down and explaining her situation, he went to work for 30 minutes, focusing on all of the locations mentioned. He seemed to intuitively know what to do, and at the end of it all, my wife sighed in relief...the first time in two weeks...at the almost total alleviation of her pain. Overnight, the pain did come back, but greatly reduced from before, along with a little expected soreness. Whereas before she was nearly paralyzed at times, she's able to move about, and function like a human being again. Issues like this rarely go away after a single treatment, but as several chiropractic and urgent care visits, as well as a cocktail of pain killers, haven't been able to mitigate her suffering at all, the fact that a single visit to Orchid Massage was enough to set her to rights is just about the best recommendation I could give for this place. We'll absolutely be back for a follow-up visit (or two) for her, and maybe I'll get around to addressing that knot in the back of my neck, as well. I know just the guy who can do something about it!

It was a very good experience for me. I have back problems from working behind a computer all day, every day, for decades. It felt so good. And she even walked on my back! Which was Awesome. And she didn't just work on my back.. Also my legs, arms, hands, feet. April asked me a few times to let her know if she was being too strong/aggressive. For me she was not (just right), but just let her know if she is. I felt it was a great overall massage, and I plan on going back again. I'm hoping if I go on a regular basis (once every 2 weeks or so) that it will help keep my back pain under control. Think I'll opt for the 90 min. next time. Thanks again, April!

She was out of the room for significant periods of time. I indicated to the masseuse working on my husband where is she, but it got worse. She talked on the phone while "massaging" me, seems like they were trying to squeeze people in. At one point on my back she rubbed the same spot on my leg for 7 minutes and I could see the blue light from her phone. I asked if she could put the phone away and they finished almost immediately and told us they didn't have time for cupping, which we had booked. A few minutes later as we were getting dressed they changed their minds and one of them rushed through cupping both of us. The masseuse avoided my lower back like the plague. When I tried to get off the table, the rest of my back muscles were loose but my lower back locked and clenched and my husband had to help me off the table. I was in tremendously more pain than when I had arrived. They charged us for the full 90 minute couples massage and 2 cuppings. Severely disappointing. I get the hustle but squeezing in as many appointments as possible will hurt the appointments they already have. They were our go-tos but after that experience we will not return.

He asked more than once if pressure was right for me. Gracious staff made me feel not only welcome, but treated me like a VIP. I received a free GC for another CBD application and a punch card. It was 85 degrees outside, there was no AC in the room, she had the bed warmer on and a heavy blanket with just the window thrown open to all the lovely street noise. There was absolutely zero support for my belly or hips. I'm 6 months pregnant, this is a huge deal. I was obviously uncomfortable. The massage itself was horrible, and felt more like I was getting oil rubbed on me gently. I also don't know if she was sick, but the coughing and sniffing throughout the massage definitely had me even more tense. I was extremely let down by this whole experience, from start to finish, and would not recommend this place; at least to pregnant women. Will not be returning.

The colors are neutral and filtered sun streams through sheer curtains. An additional bonus with it being in a yoga studio is being able to look through the exercise clothes that are for sale.
