In the one hour I had with her I feel deeply relaxed, and she was able to apply the right pressure, and work on all of troublesome spots without me even directing her! His answer was "he used to give his mom massages" which was strange"? He also mentioned his main job was construction and he was on call when they had overflow clients; and that he would soon be turning 67 years old! At the end of massage which was OK, he handed me a small sticky note with his personal cell and a call me anytime pronouncement? Weird, i am happily married for over 40 years which I made plain!. Tigard couple experience: in course of looking for the rest room, the wife opened a door that held a regular "sleeping or other" type of bed? How very odd? Because I'm a massage therapist and I have a trauma background, I am super picky about which businesses I support, who works on me and which massage therapists I'm willing to recommend to others; with that said, I highly recommend Self-Balance Massage because I have had the pleasure of getting to know Teresa (an owner) and she has an absolute heart of Gold. I appreciate everything that Sandy and Teresa stand for, their values, mission, and quality of taking care of their clients AS WELL AS their employees. So, in time of need, I called Self Balance Massage and they were able to get me in with a same day appt. Katy, the front desk receptionist was so warm, inviting and sincerely enthusiastic to see me again. She is so nice and easy to talk to. The room is AMAZING! I could stay in there all day long. The lighting is great, the decor is inviting and fun, yet relaxing. The table was cozy. I met Rachael for the first time. She was super nice, great sense of humor, very accomodating, professional, but laid back. She made it easy to take a moment for myself and release. I truly enjoyed Rachael's personality and bodywork. read more

I went in for a massage today, and oh man, am I glad that I did. I feel so great. Katy, the front desk receptionist is so nice, and helpful. After a few minutes of paperwork I was brought to the massage room and met Rachael, my massage therapist for the day. The room was nicely lit and the background music was just right. Getting into the sheets felt like getting into a freshly washed and made bed. The massage table was even heated! It felt sooooo good! Rachael is excellent at what she does. She knows exactly what she is doing with her hands. She even gave me a few ideas on helping my carpal tunnel. Sandra and Teresa run an excellent business, and employ thoughtful and friendly people. read more

I was referred here a couple of years ago by a good friend. I have gone monthly ever since and can't imagine going anywhere else. I even drive quite a ways to get there despite many other options closer to home. Sandy is spectacular at what she does and makes me feel like a friend rather than just a client. She and Theresa are always welcoming and are just a joy to see so often. I loved them so much I bring my mom along now! I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a great experience! read more
