I could not believe how great this spot was from decor to service to the food. Walking in it is absolutely beautiful, we chose a table, got a couple drinks that were all good from sake to a spicy margarita. Then we ordered what felt like a silly amount of food, but we were hungry. The waiter somehow remembered it all without writingit down and then coursed it perfectly. We started with the Otoro tartare and that was just about as splendid as anything comes. Then we followed that up with sashimi and just course and course of nigiri and sushi rolls. Every piece was epically amazing and every drink we had was stellar. I must say you cannot have too much otoro here! The otoro just blew our mind from a price and taste perspective. The dessert also was just so good - we had this matcha cake that again was warm and perfectly prepared. I couldn't believe how good it was. I don't know how they're pulling this off, but Nomada is the place to eat in Lisbon!

We ordered the: -Octopus Hot Dog (of course!) -Roasted Sardine Niguiri -Pan Sear Prawns and Garlic -Tuna tartare on toasted brioche with white chocolate and lime -Fried Seabass -Lobster Roll -Fried Scallops Overall everything was pretty good, but I wasn't in love with everything. The one stand out dish was definitely the Fried Seabass. It was really good! Sadly the Octopus Hot Dog was a bit underwhelming as I kept getting some hard pieces with every bite. The service was very friendly and quick. So although I most likely won't be coming back, I'm glad I tried Sea Me. Croacker Ceviche

There is one private booth table which we selected. It is a tapas style restaurant, so for two of us we ordered 6 dishes plus a dessert. The staff explains the menu and that a lower section shows larger dishes. We loved everything that we ordered but especially the lobster roll (their take don't expect a Maine style roll), sardine nigiri, garlic shrimp (the sauce was incredible and came with bread) and the dessert. The food came out very quickly but we were having dinner at 7pm. The total for two people was around 80 euro with the discount, but we did not get drinks other than still water.

Timeout in general though is a must see in general for any Lisbon bucket list, so stop by and decide whether or not you want sushi! It has really good sushi, and there's a lot of variety on the menu. I figured that if you're in Portugal, you need to get seafood in any variety, including sushi. The sushi was very good and very fresh. For the price it was also reasonable because it's cheap cheaper than what you could get in the US. My only complaint is I wish the menu was easier to understand. I am not a sushi expert, so there were different names of rolls that I didn't understand like Fotu Maki. It was fine though, because the waiter explained to me what each term meant and what was on the menu, but it would've been helpful to have that listed. You can sit anywhere inside the timeout market. And there's around 500 where the seating inside the market. If you leave your tray on the table too, it gets taken by a worker.

You can't go wrong here, especially at this €9,50 dinner buffet menu, excluding drinks. A bit cheaper for lunch. We went here based on all of the positive reviews, despite my wife not wanting a buffet…read more The staff were very friendly and the place was quite busy but not totally packed. There was an extensive selection of traditional dishes to choose from and we dug right in. Fried shrimp, shrimp lo mein, skewered fried prawns, baby clams, steamed dumplings, chicken wings, soup (not sure what not won ton more like a mix between egg drop and hot and sour). Some dishes looked better than others but most looked pretty good. My wife opted for several rice dishes, along with a few selections of Sushi as she didn't want all that fried food. As soon as we sat to eat, she pointed out that EVERYTHING was either barely warm, room temperature or slightly cold. I mean EVERYTHING. It was very strange. I went back to the buffet and the trays were steaming but the food was not. I tried different dishes from the first round and those were the same result. What made this really weird to me is the place was quite full and NOBODY seemed to mind or find this strange. The saddest appetizers were the egg rolls. Greasy, over fried and not appealing at all. Tried the spring rolls instead and they were pretty empty and tasteless. The soup had cilantro in it. That was different but it wasn't that bad. My wife hated it, said hers tasted like soap. Typical for some people and cilantro but she never noticed that eating Mexican food with lots of cilantro. The worst was that nothing stood out or tasted fresh at all. Overall the flavors were not bad but mostly everything seemed to have been cooked days ago. When you add lukewarm or cold to that, the meal becomes nearly inedible. Initially, we were a bit worried we would get sick later but the food turned over very quickly. The only thing we could figure was everything was just coming out of the fridge precooked and cold. It is our first time in Portugal and we had a hard enough time trying to get our waitress to understand our drink order on first sitting down so I did not bother to ask or inform them about our confusion over the state of the food. We were so disappointed we didn't even bother with the dessert. Really, who wants to walk away from ice cream? Too sad. It was only about 8pm when we went so perhaps it all warmed up at some point, but we'll never know. Better luck to the next adventurer looking to eat inexpensively in Lisbon with a craving for Chinese food.
