Pathetic 'sushi', mediocre food, very strange servers.
Went here a year ago and had a fairly good experience-- sushi then was fresh and well prepared; the place was packed. Tried it again a few days ago-- I nearly ran out of the place.
I ordered a few things as soon as I sat down because the server wouldn't go away. The miso soup was probably the only thing that was 100% fine. The salad was practically a soup- it was swimming in so much dressing. I ordered some sashimi and was given tiny pieces of salmon-- about three bites. Fortunately, it's an all you can eat restaurant, so I just had to keep on ordering, and ordering, and ordering....
I didn't try their cooked meat dishes, but did have spring rolls and a few other vegetarian things. All were pretty mediocre, unfortunately. Worst of all, they serve you "sushi" with canned tuna as one of their speciality rolls. What an embarrassment. They do have a few fresh rolls-- but I really do mean only a few (perhaps 3).
The only nice aspect of this restaurant was the free dessert. Sesame ice cream was quite tasty.
The server literally looked into my wallet and stood there as I got out money to pay for the bill. So awkward.
What a tragedy of a restaurant-- it used to be so much better! read more
