Very clean, handy amenities, great view, plenty of space, convenient location. The beds were comfortable and the patio doors that opened the length of the living room were so perfect in the mornings. The resort property was immaculate. Beautiful landscaping and the pools and hot tubs were great. It was hard to find a chair if you went in the afternoon but not a deal breaker. The property was steps from a beautiful golden sand beach with the most amazing snorkeling. Walk south a few yards for easier entrance to the water and prepare to be wowed! So much coral teeming with fish. On our last morning there we also saw 3 eagle rays, several turtles, an octopus and a couple eel. Just magical! Maui Resort Rentals had great communication prior to and throughout our stay. Most answers to questions were just a click away. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. What an amazing place for a family vacation!

And her response to our bad review was exaggerated and untruthful. She obviously took it personal even though we said she was kind in our review. I do not recommend her or their Kihei rental house. It had nothing to do with the extra $100 cleaning fee, that's just hilarious. For the money we paid to stay here the house just wasn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere if you want a good experience, clean house, and a stress free vacation and deposit refund. We also rented through another vacation rental company the week before renting Sherry's Kihei home right next door and had zero problems or complaints about them or from them. She put my doubts to ease and kept in contact by email till I arrived to our rental property, on 08/05/2014. The property was beautiful and the pictures did not do it justice. The beach was 15 feet away, right in the back yard. When we go back, we will definitely be calling again. Thank you again, Sherry!

loved staying in one of these cottages while on maui! it's the perfect location with beach access…read morenearby. the cottage was super comfortable with one of the best showers i have ever had in a hotel. it was really nice to have a full sized fridge and microwave. the property is absolutely gorgeous with a garden-like atmosphere. there were trees with plumeria flowers that were so pretty. each cottage has a patio out front, and it was perfect to sit on and enjoy the weather/view. there also was a spigot outside each cottage to wash off sand, which was so nice and a thoughtful amenity. this property is family owned and operated, so it was great to support a small business. aisha was great and provided some awesome recommendations of places to see and food to eat. will definitely stay again when i (hopefully) return to maui!

It's a large read identical home converted into spacious king bed suites with a deep pool you are sharing with only a few people and friendly owner and her kids. The room was super clean and extremely comfortable. So much so I could see me staying for a month here at a time if I had that much to do while visiting.... The house is located in short walking distance to Front Street which if you don't know the area is the crowded old world street full of shops, bars and food where people endlessly stroll along all day until late night. Across the street is Shark's Pit if you are like me and want to go free diving or snorkeling with some sharks... Don't worry, there are no Great White or Tiger Sharks that I saw... Just cute little guys.... For the best deal in breakfast go to 808 Grinds not far away. For the best lunch and dinner as well as pub prices go to Spanky's Riptide which is a block away.... All in all the best value for your dollar on a nice place to stay.

The best thing was the fantastic view, we went to the beach at least once a day and saw sea turtles in the sand every time we went later in the afternoon. My wife and I spent every night lounging on the balcony enjoying the beach smell and sounds after we put the kids down. Another good thing to as proximity, very close to convenient places to eat, get groceries, and get gas. It was also a close drive to the more seculded north end of the island and all the tours and excursions south in Lahaina. Our unit was nicely maintained and nice, the building manager puts a lot of care into the building and cleaned the pool every single day.

We stayed for 4 nights in July including my husband, our toddler son and myself. Our unit was A202. Pros: - There's private beach access and a swimming pool inside the resort. The beach is fine sand and the waves can get a little rough. Many people were snorkeling and swimming so probably not unsafe. We didn't go snorkeling as we don't know how to swim and our toddler didn't like the waves. But that's on us. Overall a great private beach. - There's a shower and foot wash so that you can leave the sand at the beach. There are also beach towels, two pretty new beach chairs and an umbrella in the unit which we carried to the beaches we went to. - The building is in close proximity to Lahaina Harbor and Whaler's Village, making it quite a prime location. - There's a TV with an internet connection, a well appointed kitchen, washer dryer and dishwasher. The Internet needed some router restarts but eventually it did and then worked seamlessly. - The unit was cleaned well too. There's ample parking and an elevator up to the units. So quite accessible as well. Cons: - The bedroom and the bathroom have no access to the single portable AC and can get quite stuffy and hot. We were visiting in July and this was a major concern. There's no ventilation in either of these and that made it worse. - Even the living room doesn't get cooled down much by the single AC. We at times wished we stayed at a hotel with a kitchen rather than here due to the heat. - The unit is overall small, almost like a studio apartment with some makeshift doors. I think it's partially on Airbnb advertisement where the previous owner sold it like a bigger unit. It's good enough for a couple or a family of 3 with a little kid, like a toddler or smaller. - The bedroom is just beside the staircase so you can hear people walking up and down super clear and evidently they can hear you too. It mattered to us since we have a toddler and we needed to put on white noise to suppress this as much as we could. - The single closet in the bedroom is crowded with a lot of things so we used a couple of basket drawers to unpack our clothes. I wish there was more unpacking space.

Yelpers want to know. I ve been able to use the restaurant or my kitchen for all meals. We can walk and use two great beaches daily. I haven't moved the car. Today we may go Shop. Decide later. ..... The fitness studio has free weights , a universal machine, a peloton and walking and a striding machine. I ve been able to go daily and the average is 1-3 people. Right now , i am on the Lanai, and i see two distance swimmers crossing the bay in front of us, side by side. Same Stroke. You can only get this lifestyle right here. All i hear is surf and birds.

First of all the communication is extremely prompt and informative. We stayed at Kihei Beach Resort #605 which is beyond beautiful. Fully stocked and beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home. I would receive emails with the current events and places of interest while I was there. But what put everything over the top is their care and compassion about my Mom when she became ill and our safety during Hurricane Lane. A team came over to help us secure the condo to protect us and the property for the potentially dangerous wind and rain. I had expressed how the flash light batteries were dead and with in 2 hours Peter came by with a working flash light. We had to check out the day the hurricane was supposed to hit and we were concerned we would not be able to fly out due to cancellations of flights. TO make things even more difficult, my 76 year old mother had become very ill and we didn't want to keep her at the airport for hours waiting for a flight. I contacted Viktoria and she promptly returned my call and shared concern for my Mom's well being. Viktoria found another unit for us to stay in until we were able to fly home so that my mom was able to rest comfortably. We were unable to stay in our original unit as another guest had made reservations the day we checked out. The second unit, Kihei Akahi, was also beautiful and was extremely comfortable. Paige and Samantha were constantly checking in on us and making sure everything was ok. I also wanted to mention the regular emails I received updating us on the hurricane situation and what to do, what to take and where to go just in case we were evacuated. Fortunately we were able to get our flight out before any cancellations. We may have only stayed in the other condo for 7 hours, but my mom was able to rest comfortable before taking that long flight home. The free valet was fantastic, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a gorgeous ocean view. We had an issue with our mattress and it was never comfortable. That was the big bummer of the stay. They replaced our mattress after we said something but it didn't fix the issue. When we laid down, we always felt like where laying way back like toward the headboard, feet higher than our head. It may have been a bed frame issue. It wasn't the worst, we just ended sleeping the other way. You have to call housekeeping to get service. That was super easy and they did a great job. All staff on site were wonderful. The grounds were well-kept, and we loved spending time by the pool--there were a few different pools, each with its own unique feel. Surprisingly, we went down the slide several times (haha it's not just for kids). Duke's on the property was a big plus. They had servers taking orders pool side. The food trucks nearby were fantastic, dealing distance away, and so much variety. they're open u til 8pm. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back.

We were taking photos on the property and then he bent the knee on the beach. Honestly, we had such a great time the first time we were here that we returned for our, super late due to Covid, Honeymoon last month. I love the size and location of the property. From the pools, amenities and the gorgeous view. The rooms are condos that come with kitchens, laundry and balconies. The first time we stayed we did a one bedroom partial ocean, but this time around we did a studio and enjoyed the full ocean view. The staff have spoiled us with some sweet congrats cookies that we really enjoyed. This property also has a Dukes on site which is super convenient. They do get busy though so we've just ordered to-go and enjoyed our food on the balcony. One thing I wish this hotel did have would be a cafe, or some kind of coffee on site. There's a market in the other tower, but the building we stayed in has one under construction. I'm hoping they put a coffee spot because it would be perfect! We love the location and feel when we come here and the included parking is a HUGE plus! I couldn't recommend the Honua Kai more and we look forward to more visits here in the future.
