Perfect nightclub for a great night out. Vegas vibes, great music, beautiful people, great liquor…read moreselection. Place is great for groups and has sick events that sell out all the time. The venue is unparalleled in class and decor and the staff are always friendly. Go here to feel like you're not in Edmonton but Vegas or Miami.

This upscale luxury mega-club venue is a definite must-see for anyone visiting Edmonton. I was surprised at how large the venue was, beautiful decor and good sized dance floor with tables connected to it. Make sure you check out the SHVR ice bar. It's a room with a bar sculpted entirely of ice, 1 of 3 in Canada the server told me! I did not purchase bottle service as there was only two of us, but I did keep an eye out for specifics, as I have been to numerous famous nightclub destinations around the world and am used to the way VIPs are handled. I must say, I was very impressed with the bottle service presentations, treatment and attention to detail at this club. Bottle service guests were showered with confetti, greeted with huge "Happy Birthday" signs waved at their table, as well a posse of beautiful girls holding sparklers and signs with the clients name. I even saw a bottle of champagne being brought out in a LED birthday cake. For a bachelorette party the cocktail waitresses brought out a sign that read "Future Mrs." and spelt the bride's last name, super cool! The MC paid great attention to each and every birthday/stagette in the club, and the club was packed. Reminded me of Vegas, nice touch. Music was an open-format mix of Hip-hop, Top 40, and Electro House. Once the headlining DJ started playing we were EXTREMELY impressed and the energy in the club was crazy. We didn't want to leave. He knew exactly what the crowd wanted and kept us all dancing all night long. Amazing DJ, great VIP treatment and very good over all customer service as well. I even lost my coat check ticket and the girls had no problem finding my jacket and it was returned to me. A+++ goes to ENVY Edmonton Nightclub!

I've been to two shows here over the years - one just before Covid and one more recently. I see…read moreother reviews talking about a $5.00 membership, but they must have gotten rid of that because I've never been asked to pay for a membership. The venue is old and full of character for sure, but it is not accessible at all if you have any kind of mobility issues. And it's a shame, because the management does seem to WANT to be inclusive, but they are terribly limited by the physical location. It's true that you walk down a dingy and dank outdoor hallway to get to the entrance, and then walk up a whole bunch of stairs to get to the ID checking station. Then you go in and get to the ticket scanning station. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the attitude from her was really off-putting. When you have a mobile ticket, apparently they can't scan the QR Code if you have your phone in dark-mode. I've never had that issue with any other venue accepting my mobile tickets, but maybe their scanner is different. Anyway, she was really annoyed with me for that. Once inside, there were 3 bars open and the bartenders were all super friendly. We went back to the same bartender each time and she always remembered our orders. As others have said, the washrooms are down a flight of stairs. If you choose to leave while there are still people lined up to get in, you will have to squeeze past them in that same dank alley/hallway thing you came in - There are no other exits (though I'm sure you could use the other doors in the event of an emergency). The slanted dance floor is not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it adds to the quirky character of the old building. I thought the sound quality from the performers were great for both shows I saw and the lighting was excellent as well.

This venue gets killer bands in. There's not much more to…read morerecommend. There's hardly any place to sit. They don't have much in the way of good beers. Bar gets very crowded with spectators leaning against it. You are not allowed to exit at East doors by stage, so this means a lot of in and out traffic at the ticket gate. People just need to learn some manners. It's $10.00 to park in the nearby lot. Bathrooms are ok.

Empire Ballroom isn't a bad place. It's big.. huge actually. It is the biggest club in the city. I…read morefeel like the place is mostly for younger kids, 18 or 19 years old because that's usually how old the crowd looks and that's how old I was when I used to come here. The club is actually unlike any other club in the city because it has dancers who come on stage and perform during the night and some guys who juggle fire come out as well. The stage and the size of the club also make it a good venue for concerts. Like I said the place isn't bad but you may feel a bit old amongst the young crowd.

WORST BOTTLE SERVICE EVER!!! This place is the crappiest, if…read morenot, the worst place to have bottle service. The BCF (Best Cousins Forever) were having a reunion and wanted to live it up during the Halloween weekend while I was visiting Edmonton. We made table reservations for Halloween eve and when we got there, we had to WAIT in line for 30 minutes, PAY cover...and our table WAS NOT READY when we got there. They were going to put us in a shady looking section. We were seriously WAITING FOR AN HOUR to get seated with everything ready. If this was not a cousin outing, I would have stormed out. Luckily my brother took care of things and saved the night. The manager gave us 50% off all the bottles we ordered and put us in a decent enough section. Still though, I wouldn't mind paying full price for the bottles with great service. Just to not experience such shitty service. Even after that, our hostess and her assistant were so clueless and lost that they probably couldn't find their way out of a sweater.Oh, and the security guards in the VIP section hella power trippin on their $9/hr salary...mmmmmkaay. The music was great, the night was better, especially with the company. I am never going to go back here!
