It's January 28,2025 Curtis Woodworking or Showcase Cabinetry have done nothing to fix this problem. I'm out of $42,000 a lot of money for trashy cabinets and I can't move into my new construction cause I have no kitchen installed. Both Showcase and Curtis Woodworking in Prospect Connecticut have done nothing to fix the problem. No replacement no refund NOTHING. BOTH parties pocketed my money and are doing absolutely nothing to put me the customer first. 9 months and nothing how disgusting are Showcase Cabinetry and Curtis Woodworking (dealer) in Prospect Connecticut. They stole my money and didn't provide me the cabinets I purchased can you call them both disgusting and inhumane. Upon accessing Yelp and detailing the services I needed. I was pleasantly surprised by an immediate response from the owner/operator of All Around Handyman, who requested that I select and schedule a date and time on his calendar which I did. Chad arrived ten-minutes early with a big smile on his face. I found him to be knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. As well as a very resourceful handyman. It was refreshing to meet a friendly handyman with a downhome attitude who shares a similar outdoor lifestyle as I. I hadn't laughed so much as a resident of Sioux Falls. Chad was precise as he measured, eyed, marked and hung a 3-piece Glass Wall Sconce Set on wall behind dining room table. Also, hung pictures on walls behind/above living room couch, the fireplace, office desk and bedroom headboard. Placement of these pictures made the apartment more attractive with a homey vibe. We had ACS come to our home to give a quote for new garage doors. I explained that I wanted the…read morebrick mould around the garage doors replaced because they were dented. I showed him all of the dented areas and he assured me (3 different times throughout our visit) that the brick mould would be replaced. He told me that the mould would be the same color as the rubber seal that would be put in around the doors. He also told me that the brick mould would be included in the quote. I called ACS to voice my concerns and I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that their salesmen had so many years of experience that none of them would have told me that (the salesman that came to my house seemed very young). A short time after I called, a lady called me to see how I liked my new doors and when I explained my concerns to her, she said she wanted to talk to someone else in the office and get back to me. This call happened in May and I have yet to receive a call back from them. I love the look of the doors, but my dented brick mould was not replaced as I was told it would be, so now I have had to hire another company to replace the brick mould when I was originally told it was going to be included in my quote. I feel deceived by the salesman that first came to my house and ignored when no-one bothered to call me back.

I called, and the window guy from Scott's came out within a few days (we're 90 miles away) and measured everything, and figured what parts we needed. I was initially impressed. All that happened LAST OCTOBER. The window factory was hit by a tornado last spring, so understandibly, our window order would be delayed. Not a problem, until I started called for a status. Nearly a dozen phone messages were unanswered. I finally called the manager and reported the situation. The window guy called me within a day, and said everything should be ready to go in about a month. That was 1 1/2 months ago, and now he's not returning my calls anymore. And now, it appears a real possibility that we will go through another winter with our windows unusable, all taped up and leaking cold air into our condo. Whenever this is resolved, I hope I never have to call Scott's Lumber again.

Very nice lady answered and set me up with an appt. The tech came out and I showed him the wear marks. I informed tech I just bought this house and I found these marks. The tech was friendly, knowledgeable and professional looking. The tech represented Tri State very well I thought. The tech showed me that the doors had worn some of the 2x4 framing inside the garage to the point that they do not rub anymore and everything was working fine but he checked the rollers anyways and said there was a slight adjustment he could do to the first wheel on the track. Since he was out here anyways, I had him lubricate the spring and all the joints.

Called E&C for a quote and they arrived on time when promised. Bid was provided quickly and…read moreaccepted. They then told me when they would be onsite to do the job (siding). They arrived that morning exactly when they said... which is not typical for many contractors. The work was excellent. They kept in communication with me and told me about some problem areas that were discovered during removal of the old siding. They could have just covered these areas up and moved on, but they wanted it repaired right, so they cut out the old wood, installed some new sheathing, and then sealed all the windows properly with Vycor (self sealing tape). They installed house wrap and then the siding the way it should have been done the first time. Based upon their attention to detail it is quite clear this siding job will last for decades. Very pleased with the quality of work and the entire experience. Even their cleanup was superb - they used tarps to catch debris and even went over the entire area with a magnetic sweeper to pick up any dropped nails. Cannot say enough about these guys - they work hard and deliver a quality result. E&C is now on my short list of contractors that I trust and use time and time again. My siding is now better than new and I hope I don't need a new roof anytime soon, but if the next big hail storm hits I can promise you I'll be contacting E&C without a doubt. Well done guys.
