Just before Christmas in 2014 I treated myself to a brand new GT-R as a retirement present. 3 days after getting car some sorry lowlife keyed my car. I went to a trusted body shop and they put me in contact with a detailer they thought could help. While he did manage to do an excellent job of getting rid of the scratches the rest of his work was terrible and the guy was a butcher with buffer. Once the initial waxing started to fade it was clear the car had a terrible case of buffer swirl and other micro scratches. It was so bad one of my coworkers who had body shop experience thought he might have damaged the clear coat. I called several retailers and decided to give Kyle Clark a try. Kyle came out and evaluated the paint and assured me he could fix it. We also decided to ceramic coat the car for further protection in the future. I had a horrible experience and took my brand new car to a local carwash for its first wax. Pros:1) He will come to you so you can avoid waiting for 5 hours at detail shop. 2) He has years of experience, especially cleaning high end cars, visit his website. Cheap detailing may not be good for your car. 3) He accepts credit cards using his smart-phone, guy is techno-savy! 4) His prices are below detail-shops as he does not have rental overhead or salaries of employees. 5) He is pretty reasonable and work with your availability. I got my truck detailed by Kyle in late October of 2014. Kyle knows what he is doing and did a good job removing some light scratches and blemishes on the paint. When he was done my truck looked good, but for the 300 something dollars it cost me, I expected more. The point of paying so much to get the truck detailed was for it to be DETAILED. I shouldn't have to go around and inspect it myself so I didn't; that is what I paid the guy for. I trusted Kyle since it did seem like he was very knowledgeable, but that was a mistake. When he left I noticed the inner part of my rims were still dirty and the bottom panel of the drivers side door was smeared with what looked like grease. I'm not sure what it was but it didn't come out for a couple washes. Also the product he used for the tires and side steps was oily. When I drove the truck it bled onto the rims and it made the side steps annoyingly slippery. Bottom line the truck looked good but not worth over 300 dollars at all. Don't buy all the 5 star reviews. Kyle goes around asking for them. This is the first review I have written on Yelp and the reason for writing it is not because I over spent and got an average detail... It is because of Kyle's push to give him 5 stars and vote for some online Inland Empire contest. He mentioned it a few times and reminded me via text message when everything was done to go and review him and vote for the contest. I didn't do either one... It has been six months and I decided that I would give him another try. I figured it was possible he was having a bad day when he worked on my truck. I tried to contact him through his website.... I waited a week or two and got no response. So I pulled his number from my old cell phone and contacted him directly through text message... It seemed like I was going to be able to set up an appointment but as soon as I told him which truck it is and where I live... He ignores me again. I wonder if he is upset because I didn't give him a vote and 5 stars? Why would he ignore a paying customer? My recommendation is to go with Executive Detailing.
