Some dude hit my car on April 14th and had it at another shop April 17th, received the car back may 30th. Wasn't done correctly, needed inner and outer tie rods, upper control arms (driver side). Alignment wasn't getting dialed correctly. We thought it was frame but sent the vehicle here through Carmax. They were able to get the cam tabs welded on and get the alignment done . WOMEN , DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC BY YOURSELF, YOU WILL NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY !! I went to Perez Tire Shops originally to get a tire replaced, I will say I've been to that shop a couple times out of the last 3-4 years, I've gotten probably 3 to 4 tire replacements there, with NO issues, however .. THIS time solidified me NEVER returning as a customer, for my OWN SAFETY. The guy that put the tire on screwed the lug nut on INCORRECTLY, so it tightened, and was unable to be taken off unless with excessive force, essentially BREAKING OFF the lug nut stud. I would not have known this, if my mobile mechanic wasn't trying to change my brakes the very next day, but could not get the tire off. I took my car back to this shop so the guy can get the lug nut off, but he ended up breaking the stud, and initially denied it, until they took my car to the F&A AUTO SHOP side and that mechanic showed me the broken stud.. THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY FOR IT UNTIL I STOOD MY GROUND AND SAID IT WAS THE TIRE GUY'S FAULT. I was then told they would replace it no charge, but just that ONE stud, which was fine with me, HOWEVER, They said they couldn't just replace the stud and would have to purchase a whole new wheel barrier hub, the tire guy agreed to pay for it, and I left the shop under the impression I was getting a whole new wheel barrier hub, when i returned after getting a call that my car was done, the mechanic said he finished quicker then expected because they were able to just replace the lug nut stud after all (see picture below) DIY stud pretty much .. they were VERY HESITANT to show me the work when I asked them to take the tire off, INSINUATING that if anymore lug nuts broke it would not be their fault. The guy that works in the office, HIS NAME IS HOMER, was the one that tried to make me feel gaslit and incompetent. Saying that because my rims weren't from the manufacture, they would be lose on the wheel barrier hub.. which didn't make any sense, I have had this car for over a year with the SAME RIMS, NOTHING LOSE, NO PROBLEMS. I told him that, and he just brushed off my comment saying that they replaced the lug nut stud as promised. I ended up driving off the lot, but IMMEDIATELY knew something was NOT RIGHT. Everytime I turned my wheel I would hear what sounded like a bunch of loose screws. Also every time I pressed the brake, the car would go to the right. I drove maybe 3-5 minutes just to make sure what I was hearing was an actual problem. I took the car back to the shop and tried to tell HOMER there was something still seriously wrong with the car. He continued to brush me off, stating his mechanic was on break and I should go check with the tire guy. I went to tell the tire guy, and he too, brushed me off saying he has customers ahead of me , I can come back tomorrow morning or wait. I EVEN ASKED IF HE COULD JUST COME SIT IN THE CAR AND TURN THE WHEEL so he could hear what I was talking about. Still no urgent concern. THEY BOTH KNEW I had work in about an hour. So I said I would bring the car back in the morning. I drove about 21 minutes to work, being cautious on the freeway and staying in the far right lane because I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. As I got off the freeway and turned into a plaza, MY CAR BROKE DOWN AND THE ENTIRE WHEEL CAME OFF, THE AXEL BROKE, AND THE 3 SCREWS NEEDED TO HOLD THE WHEEL IN PLACE WERE MISSING . (View video below) I called them back hysterical, as I was in shock. HOMER wasn't much help, other than saying "bring it in and we will take another look at it" .. but at this point IM TERRIFIED of having them do any more work on my car . My dad drove about 2 hrs out, just to meet up with me as I went back to their shop . I had no problem POINTING OUT everyone at that shop ,who did my tire, who "fixed" the wheel barrier hub, and who I felt wasn't listening to my concerns in the first place. The mechanic literally WAS HIDING BY HIS COMPUTER, NOT TRYING TO SHOW FACE TO MY DAD AND I . I did feel with my dad being there, I was more heard . EVEN THOUGH HOMER still tried to gaslight me in front of my dad, saying "well your daughter drove off with the keys, without letting us test drive it first, we always test drive the cars" I spoke back in absolute disbelief, but my dad was there to calm me down . AFTER ALL THAT, MY CAR DID GET FIXED BY THEM . I BELIEVE IT IS OKAY SINCE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT FOR A LITTLE OVER 2 WEEKS NOW. BUT I PROMISE YALL I AM NEVER RETURNING TO THESE SHOPS AGAIN , and for the safety of you and yours , YOU SHOULDNT EITHER . The worst place ever if I could give them zero stars I would I took my car in to have one fender installed. It took him literally 15 minutes and he charged me over $200 when asked about painting it his quote was $900. $900 for just a front fender my car is a basic black. This was the owner's son and I was referred there by a friend and this was my amazing deal lol Guess maybe the son's trying to get rich off Daddy's business meanwhile he's certainly not adding to their success.
