I'm confused about what happened here. I requested a quote for a laptop battery replacement and was…read moretold $75 plus tax on the parts, so around $78, which I still think is a good price. I agreed and said I would come in on the 8th. A few days later, I messaged to reschedule to the 15th. The owner replied on Yelp that it was fine. On the morning of the 15th, I texted my arrival time a few hours in advance, to which he never replied. I arrived at the shop with my laptop, and the employee working said there was no order for me, which was confusing because the owner had been so communicative. He said he would order the part and it would be there later that week and I agreed to come back. I got a text confirmation with my order number and everything. Fast forward a week and a half: silence. Nothing. I replied to the order confirmation text asking if it had arrived, and I don't know if it went through or not, but it's just weird they wouldn't have the part by now or some kind of update. I gave up, bought a kit on Amazon for $35, and installed it myself in 10 minutes. I don't know where this project fell apart, but if the shop didn't want to take it on, they could have declined it. I'm just confused by lack of follow-through because they have so many good reviews, and I thought I had done everything I could, both in person and online, to confirm I wanted the service.

My iPhone 15 Pro charging port was damaged and Apple quoted me $680 to fix it! They will not change…read morejust the port, Apple will only change the entire "rear system" of your phone. If I had Apple Care, it would've been a $99 deductible. I paid less than that deductible cost alone for Empire to replace my charging port! 10/10, I would absolutely recommend coming here for this, and the charging port isn't something Apple looks at when you trade in a phone. I decided while I was there to get a new battery as well since mine was two years old and only charging to 79% of the original capacity. Cheaper than Apple AND the phone recognizes it as a genuine Apple battery. The technician was friendly, answered all my questions, and finished in less time than quoted. The business was also speedy to reply to my quote request.

I feel like the battery is…read morenot working as well but maybe that's just me but I'm really making the review because sometimes the screen just stops working and I have to restart my phone with the buttons to make it work again. I didn't know that I had to reset my phone to get the screen working so I was just stranded without my GPS in an area I did not know when my phone suddenly stopped working after I just paid to get it fixed two weeks ago. I fixed the front screen and the back screen. I somehow made it to their shop and the guy there told me that with the price I paid for the screen, (which he did not tell me until two weeks later when my phone stopped working is not the highest quality) and that this happens sometimes and I can pay $50 more to get a screen where this will not happen . I did say I was just fixing the screen to send my phone in and get an upgrade, but I was not told that this would happen, and it has happened multiple times since then where the screen stops working and I have to restart my phone. So I just think other customers should be aware of this. Definitely pay the extra $50 but that also seems like something they should've communicated when I purchased this.
