I took the time to write this only for those who truly care about their clothes. My fiancé and I have been coming to this laundry mat since April of 2014 (I know because the manager, Judy pulled it up to prove her lost point). On October 31st 2015, we were informed that they switched dry cleaners "couple of weeks back" (remember this cause it's important). No problem. In addition to them switching dry cleaners, they were now on a prepay system. Still not a problem. So we drop off our clothes, pay the $98 for all our items and are told we can come back and pick them up on November 3rd. When we come back on the 3rd, one of my items is damage. Visibly damaged. Strings coming out everywhere, stains all over it, the works. I actually laughed. Because there is NO WAY she (Judy, the manager) could have seriously thought I was going to pay for this. Then she has the audacity to tell me that I brought the dress in looking that way and that dry cleaners didn't touch it. But Judy.....there is a note on the piece of clothing (please see picture below) clearly stating that they DID start work on it and stopped. So please stop with lie #1. Judy then tells me that she will send the piece back and I will be contacted when it is ready. So of course, I had to contact HER 2 weeks later to request my piece. At this time, she tells me that she remembers that the piece wasn't even sent to their new cleaners, instead it was sent to their old cleaners and they are the ones who messed up the dress. Uhhhh. Ok. "Soooooo you are taking responsibility for messing up the dress, correct?" Kinda. Because as soon as I made that statement Judy miraculously remembers that there is a bill that I never paid of $40 so instead of going back and forth about the dress, she would just forgive my bill. Wait a minute.......I have been coming to your establishment for about 2 years. Never walked out of your establishment without paying for my items, and never heard about this "bill" until you are caught in lie #2 (because I PREPAID DUE TO YOU SWITCHING DRY CLEANERS, REMEMBER???), and now you're trying to give me a pass on a $40 bill for $160 dress?? I'm getting a little hot, Judy. So I ask Judy to print out the ticket of this bill that I owe. She tells me she isn't in today (although I called the laundry mat, so that's lie #3) and that I should wait until the following Saturday. From November 2015 to February 2016, this one ticket just could not be found. She found the ticket today. Please take a look at the tickets in the picture below. Judy is trying to convince me that I brought in clothes on October 17th (which shows the white dress which is in question) and then brought "more" clothes in on the 31st (the day I actually brought the dress with all the other items in and prepaid for it) "a couple of weeks apart". How ironic is it that I/we brought in the same long dress, the same two piece suit and the same fancy dress, less than two weeks apart, but each and every time we drop clothing off we are reminded that we still have clothing there. FURTHERMORE, at what point on October 31st did ANY of your staff allow me to walk out of your establishment without paying, especially with your shiny new prepay rule?? So they implemented the new rule the day I walked in, gave me clothes, and I just walked out? Really, Judy? It was disgusting how a person can look you in the eye and just tell a bold face lie simply to avoid responsibility. Judy, I wish you the best, but always remember. The universe has to balance itself. You cannot put this level of evil into the world without receiving it back so good luck. read more
