The new owners(about 2 yrs) ​'its obvious they ​only bought the business for additional machines and the only give a shyte about the wash and fold part of the company Once they bought it, they cut the hours from 7:30pm to 3:30pm In afternoon (M-F) and 2pm on weekends. mo​st people work until 5, so weekends can be jammed and they still occupy machines with their W&F business. I have never used a laundry service before. We just moved and wanted to wash 90% or over 250 pounds of laundry (clothes, sheets, comforters) since they smelled like boxes. We live in wayne so they don't pickup and deliver, but based on the previous reviews I took a chance and drive to Montclair with our laundry. Drop off was easy, the process was easy, and they even helped me bring it from the car. They explained everything to me and ensured me everything would be handled according to wash instructions per label. Came back and everything was perfectly folded into bags separated by family member. Everything was clean and everything smelled fresh. I've been doing my own laundry since I was 10 and I could only wish these guys were closer. I would use them every week. If you want professionals doing your laundry at such an affordable price come to Montclair Laundry!!! You may never do your own laundry again. read more

Haven't had the best experience. The service is friendly but quality lacks. I dropped a bunch of shirts and pants off here on a Wednesday and was told they won't be ready until Monday of the following week. This alone is a long wait time compared to other locations. I wasn't able to come by until the following Wednesday when I was told they "forgot to pick up" the clothes. I asked that they call me when they are ready. No one ever called so I called and left a message on Friday. They did call back and say the clothes were ready for pick up but due to work schedule I again was unable to pick up until the following week. The price is pretty high compared to other locations, I paid less when I lived in north Manhattan and Hoboken. Ok place, nice people, but won't go back. read more

I just moved into the area & was in desperate need for a laundry service. I found this company on yelp -- I'm surprised more people haven't reviewed them. I called on a Friday afternoon, they picked up my laundry at 630pm and had it all back in my apartment at 930am the next morning. I sent off some dry cleaning with my laundry and the woman called me and said she would deliver it to my apartment on Tuesday night. In my eyes, what else can you ask for? They are quick, careful with your things & they do their best to accommodate to your schedule. read more

Love this place!! The washing machines went down at my co-opt for a week. We had loads of laundry rivaling the snow drifts currently in Boston (February 2015). I went and took everything! Same day service (yes, there is a fee) but knowing then what I know now, would I do it again? Where do I sign up and line up? Great service. Everything was done and back on in closets in drawers within hours. The only downside is now my wife wants to use them for all our towels and bedding (sigh!). read more

Montclair Laundry should re-categorize themselves as a strictly drop-off/pick-up service. This tiny space is taken up mostly by the machines. There is nowhere for customers to sit. Their 5:00 pm closing time is nothing short of a bad joke for those of us who work outside of our homes during the day and seek this service. On my last and final visit, it seemed as if most of the people using the machines work there. All of the machines except two (including the dryers) were taken by customers dropping off and/or picking up. There's nowhere to sit except by the door which was taken up by men who were performing services for the laundromat itself. A young lady "allowed" me to sit in the back after I asked for a chair while I waited. But the manager, I presume, later asked me to move because they were "working back there." (There was one young woman working in the area and more than enough room for me to sit.) This isn't a community laundromat this is a commercial laundry service that does not appear to cater to the community in which it is set up. read more

i recently used their drop-off services for a few loads of clothes i just didnt have the time to do myself and i was pleasantly surprised. Fast service and a nice attendant. Everything you can ask for!! This laundromat is perfect they have brand new washer and dryers and plenty of machines so your never online waiting for one to open up. Some awesome features they have are big TVs to pass the time and free wifi so you won't have to use data while waiting for your clothes. The place is spotless so clean and really warm friendly environment. The staff is great, there always here and I enjoy sparking up conversations with them every time I come in. Needless to say this is my favorite laundromat in the Montclair area! read more

We used their laundry delivery and drop off services several times when our washing machine broke. The folks there are very nice and really seem to be doing all the right things to be a great local business. We hit one snag where someone in the store didn't mark our order as paid and we ended up paying twice for the same order, but when we realized the mistake the owner refunded the extra payment. read more

They did a perfect job with my clothes. I didn't separate my clothes at all, when I got them back my blouses were on hangers separated from my other clothes that they folded with precision. I waited so long for laundry it was like nearly $80. The woman seen my struggle and gave me a discount! Ended up paying $60-something. But for the amount of laundry that was beyond reasonable. Only pitfall, my clothes were clean but I love the new laundry smell. I didn't use my own laundry detergent and would possibly explore this option for next time! read more

DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM SCOTT IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!! I originally loved this place because of their next day delivery service however the experience I just had today was disgusting. On Saturday I dropped off my clothes to be washed and delivered and I even told the Associate to charge my order more just so I could qualify for the service. My clothes were to be delivered Monday. When I arrived home from work on Monday evening my clothes were no where to be found. Apparently they decided not to deliver my clothes because the Associate weighed my order as kilograms not pounds so since they made the mistake they held onto my clothes and wanted me to pay again for THEIR MISTAKE. The difference was only about $7 and they voided entire order to make me pay again. So Scott, whom I assume is the manager, was snotty the entire time I was on the phone explaining my dissatisfaction with the entire situation. All I wanted were my clothes! I didn't have appropriate clothing to wear to work that day because of their incompetence! I was annoyed but I agreed to pay AGAIN for the service because all I wanted was my clothing. Scott then (begrudgingly) said that I didn't have to pay he would deliver it and eat the charge. When I came home I found out that he left my clothes OUT ON THE STREET! I will never give them my business ever again and please, I beg of you, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE EVER AGAIN ESPECIALLY BECAUSE SCOTT IS HORRIBLE read more

I've come to this place for the third time during normal business hours (5 pm) to find a "temporary hours" sign on the door again and the business closed. The owner(s) can't seem to decide on regular operating hours. Between their arbitrary summer hours (closed most Sundays, but not all etc etc) and now (as of 11/2) shortened hours, their good service is easily overlooked by its inconsistent, inconvenient, and ever changing hours. Now with them closing at 3:30pm on weekdays, I can't drop off my laundry unless I'd like to wake up extra early to sit in school traffic. read more

I dropped it all off at 9 am & it was all clean, fresh smelling & nicely folded when it was delivered to my door by 4:00. The rates are reasonable & I will be using their services again! I have a huge bed spread there right now and I know they will do a good job on it...I trust them and know they will make good on their promise to deliver a quality end result. Best laundry service in town. After my boss' washer broke we began to send her laundry here until a a new one was purchased, and the service was exceptional! Clothes smelt fresh, folded perfectly, bagged neatly. Always finished on time (if not early). The women working here are extremely nice and very professional. Fair prices. Definitely recommend. Very good service. I've used both the drop off and delivery service and was very pleased with both. I've been sending out my laundry for 9 years. Just moved to Bloomfield and have used three different laundry services. Montclair Laundry is the best of the three. They launder your clothes on site. They offered me a choice of two detergents: free & clear or Tide. They used fabric softener and dryer sheets. All for the exact same price as the other 2 laundromats that used no fabric softener and did not have a free & clear detergent option. Did I mention they offer delivery for a small fee. They picked my clothes up in Bloomfield and I had them delivered back the very next day. This laundromat is owner occupied. The owners seem to care about doing a good job. They are courteous and the store is brightly decorated. They also offer dry cleaning which I will certainly try. Definitely encourage busy people to try them out. read more

This laundry mat is great. I was in search of a nice, clean, and great priced laundry mat. I found this place that nailed all 3. The machines wash and dry my clothes very well and I've never waited for a machine. They have flat panel TVs so i don't miss any of my games. The people that work there are really nice I also learned that they will pick up, wash, and deliver my clothes too. I will now enjoy my games at home and not have to worry about doing my laundry. read more
