When I requested an estimate on yelp they responded very quickly. We were able to set up an appointment that worked for me right away. Ladies came and cleaned and some things look nice but I am a bit disappointed. It looks like they didn't lift any of the rugs in my kitchen or entryway. They swept and mopped around them. I checked the camera feed I have to see if that was real or if it just got moved when the rugs were moved. Sure enough it just looks like they slid the one a tiny bit and then slid it back. There is still dirt under and next to all 4 rugs. As I watched the video I also noticed when she cleaned my counter she didn't lift up the things sitting on it. I had it relatively empty, just a few things I keep there all the time and there is still stuff all around it. I just paid for a cleaning service and I will be sweeping the floor myself tonight and cleaning off my counter. *manager reached out and offered a free re cleaning to make up for the cleaning I am doing today. I've been using Xpress Maids nearly monthly for the past 6 months or so and there are several pros, but couple cons as well. This is a family-owned cleaning business that services the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo area and the main contact person Isaac is always very professional, accommodating and responds in a quick and timely fashion. From the beginning, he offered a very affordable monthly cleaning rate. Pros: Very quick response time Available via text, call and email Able to schedule cleaning in a very short notice Flexible and accommodating to provide me cleaning times outside of their regular cleaning hours, which is a huge PRO given my limited availability to be home during their regular hours. Affordable rates Cons: Maids frequently miss dusting some items, but once I point out the issues, they are attentive and willing to re-address. I am a fan of this business, because the service you receive for the price you pay is pretty decent (good bang for your buck), and Isaac is very professional and courteous. He has excellent customer service skills and was willing to discount me for a cleaning service in which maids were delayed arriving to my place. I pinned a project for a deep house cleaning on Thumbtack and he responded. My pin was requesting a very deep cleaning , I expressed to Kyle that he may want to send 4 girls BC the house is a mess, I even offered a $100 tip for the girls upon completion. To be clear I sent him my expectations 3 times , this is a DEEP CLEAN baseboards windowsill walls fridge etc . He sent me their check list which included all these things, an assured me TWO VETTED UNIFORMED MAIDS ( his exact words) would be there the rest of his crews are book that day. I made the appointment and took the day off work. Two teenagers showed up , excuse me one was 21 and very pregnant, wearing street clothes and dingy grey t shirts that day expressmaids , once they had been in my home for almost 3 hrs and one was still In the kitchen and nowhere near done, and the other one had spent the entire time in my living room and was moving onto the next room mind you I have a modest ranch style home just a small brick ranch in Sterling Heights set my living room should've took about 30 minutes to deep clean, when she told me she was done with the living room I went to check and I asked her are you sure you did everything in here and she said yes well the baseboard boards had not been wiped the out the outer carpet had not been vacuumed only the rug the windowsills had not been done no part of deep cleaning had been done and I vacuumed and straighten and clean my couch which they're supposed to do, Young lady argued with me and I told her well why can I do this as I literally wiped my finger across the top of the vent down above the baseboard and left a white line through the dust so she started working on the living room all over again I call I text Kyle and told him everything I showed him pictures and said what is going on here this is unacceptable. His response was thank you for the feedback no more no less no phone call to the girls to do their job, this is on top of the fact that The estimate went from 158 originally, to 346... So for $350 I expect my home to be sparkling at the very least everything on the checklist when the girls cut the feel of the way my attitude was going with their work they proceeded to tell me they were sorry that they are doing their job how they were taught to do it and they will get in trouble if they do it any better, I also learned that both of them have only been with the company for three weeks they're both in training and they're the only two people that work for this Kyle fellow, and that he rushes them to run in and run out they are not supposed to spend any more than an hour and a half on a deep clean of a full house that has a finished basement with another bathroom and a laundry room that is on a deep cleaning checklist they leave no one ever says anything they just don't call the company back in this Kyle fellow is OK with that and I looked him square in the eye and said well you're in the right house today girls because you're gonna clean my house or you can leave right now and I'm not paying for anything I'll finish it myself. And the girls were sweetest they could be they went right to work on my house and in fact sadly we're here for eight hours and still didn't wipe my doorframes down didn't wipe the inside of my windows just the windowsills left my mirrors smudged didn't clean my sinks properly didn't do the cobwebs in my bathroom or my fan which means they didn't dust in here I have an industrial ceiling in my bathroom like it's all the raw material at the house and there are cobwebs hanging every day visibly it's not that they didn't see them they just didn't do it I had to keep coming back in each room and pointing things out and telling them you got to do this you Gotta do that as I promised them their tip, The tip that Kyle had told him nothing about so he clearly plan to keep it for himself so they did a decent job on one of my showers I had to come back and tell them just they're vacuuming floors they're not sweeping anything and they weren't gonna mop it's a horrible hardest eight hours of my life and I helped clean half of it soooo just a terrible company with little girls that are doing the best they can be intimidated by an older man well he's older than they are anyways but he's a baby to from what they say and that he just doesn't care he says oh well we'll get more customers we've got five star ratings well I plan to change that they don't care if they rip you off and you got a cleanYour house behind them they don't care if you call back read more

One person came an hour and half late to do a move out on a condo. The condo is completely empty. The carpets were not vacuumed by the walls, the tub still had blue soap left on it. The microwave was all greasy and the stove was not cleaned. Took him 4 hours. Very disappointed! So, called the company today and they sent the same cleaner. Took him 3 more hours today, but he got there 10 minutes early. My sister had to suggest many things to him. But he got the cat hair off the carpet and did the floor boards. Very disappointed - paid for a "deep clean" so that I could put our home on the market. I was sent a "Deep Clean" checklist so I knew what to expect. In addition to the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, I paid extra for the oven and interior windows to be cleaned. I have a 2500 square foot home. Two people came to clean and left after 90 minutes. When I got home, I noticed not all the interior windows were cleaned. Only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were cleaned. The blinds were not cleaned, the ceiling fans were not dusted, the baseboards were not dusted, there were "dust bunnies" under the bed, the top of the refrigerator was not wiped down, the front of the fireplace was not wiped down, the cobwebs had not been removed. The oven did not appear to be cleaned. When I sent to make dinner later that evening, I preheated my oven, only to find out that there was some sort of cleaning agent sprayed on the inside of it but never cleaned out. I contacted the office manager and told her I needed to have the home cleaned within the next 4 days (this was Thursday night), I was assured that they would be back to clean my home and have it done by 4pm Monday and she'd get back to me with the date and time. By 10am on Saturday, I still had not heard back from anyone. At this point, I emailed the office manager again, explaining I'd like a refund, I cannot sit around all weekend wondering/hoping someone would be by to clean my home and if it the" "Deep Clean" chekclist would be completed. Disappointed in the quality of the cleaning. I did the move in/move out service. Figured this was include a wipe down of the inside of cabinets, light fixtures, baseboards, etc., that was not the case. Ended up cleaning most of it myself. Not worth the 200+ dollars for this service. Also came home to a large scratch on my kitchen floor that I have had incur additional time/money to fix. read more
