Came in for an oil change and it was done in under 15 minutes, UNREAL why anyone would ever go to a drive thru one that is shoddy just for the speed when Xpress can do it better and just as quick. Turns out I need new front brakes and Dave was fully transparent with me about it, said the pads had 10% left and that even though he recommended changing it now the decision was wholly up to me. I went ahead with it and turns out the rotors needed replacing too but knowing that I had just spent money on the brakes he told me he would turn the rotors to the most optimal position to last me the next couple thousand miles so that I could save up for the next maintenance repair. Was told there was an oil leak. There was never an oil leak. Was told there's a trans pan oil leak, I never had a leak. I just left the place, unless they did something to my car, my car should be fine but now I'm worried they messed with it. So do not come here. Side note, while I was waiting for my oil change I heard lots of loud banging on metal, I didn't think much of it until they guy told me I had leaks and valve cover gasket leaks as well. There are the WORST car mechanics I've ever experienced. After my warranty company paid them 5k to fix engine related issues, it ran for one only one month. They then never gave me paperwork listing what was repaired!! Sounds suspect right??! They said that I'm a "third party" to my own vehicle and they don't have to provide me with that information. Great service. Mom and pop kinda place. It's super clean and organized. I walked in and was instantly greeted by the front desk. Told them I needed a smog check and brake inspection. They answered all of my questions and immediately started working on my car. Also no charge for the brake inspection, heck yeah. After the smog check they said I passed but needed front brake pads and rotors resurfaced. They had so many options for brakes and pretty much listed which one was best for my car and why. Got the ceramics and to top it all off my brake pads came with a lifetime warranty! I don't even know how that's possible. Prices are phenomenally reasonable and staff are extremely thorough with their work. I took the car in for a smog check today. But apparently this shop took the opportunity to do I check on the car which I did not authorize. They removed my cabin air filter and engine air filter to show them to me. These were replaced by me only two months ago and looked very good. Apparently they wanted to sell me on replacing them but I cut them off and told them they were practically brand new. This place is major shady. There is no need to disassemble my glove department in my prius to get to the cabin air filter, especially when all I wanted was a smog check. People be warned!!! Then when leaving the service person warned me that my prius tends to have starter problems because there is a relay that always needs to be replaced. I told him that there was a recall from Toyota that I went in for and the relay was taken care of then. Needless to say he became very silent after that. At the worst, I now feel extremely nervous that he and his worker may have done something to the car while I was waiting in order to sell me more services. What is apparently obvious is that they thought I knew nothing about cars or something in order take advantage of someone's lack of knowledge. In fact, I do all the services on my car myself, oil change, coolant flush, brakes, suspension replacement, you name it I do it. I make a point to verify the car is in good shape because its used primarily to drive my two year old around. I simple smog check where nothing needs to be checked in the car should not have produced such an uncomfortable situation. I know every business is hurting out there but you don't know if the person across from you is hurting more. I would highly recommend this place. They're honest and do a great job. My brake light came on but when I took my car to Xpress to get my brakes changed, they told me my brakes were only at 50% and that I didn't quite need to change it yet unless I wanted to. I appreciate that they were honest and gave me the choice of having the brakes changed rather than just doing it anyway in order to get money. When I decided to not move forward with the brake change, they didn't even charge me a fee for the time they spent putting up the car and removing the tires to check the brakes. Took it in for misfire after driving it for less then a week they didn't fix it long story short four months later cars broken down again needs another motor and now other work too due to the motor not running properly. I came to this place because due to a jerk motion in the car. I had drove from Riverside to Westminster to visit my dad at the cemetary. I have never had no issues with the car what so ever. And with no way knowing what the car had I called I gave a description of the issue. They said come in down so we can take a look and see if we can fix it. Gave a call to my brother and said it sounded like a spark plug issue. Turns out the "mechanic" said it was a bad transmission and that I needed a new one. I had 4 kids with me and he recommended me to leave the car and grab an uber home as for they were closing the shop already. Remind you I called and asked before coming was it too late. Request a flush since he said that could help me get home and all they did was park my car under a tree and still had the nerve to say they drove the car around and tested it. My friend scratched her car in a parking garage complex and we needed a quick fix that was nearby. This was the closest thing to the area and so we took our chances and came in. I was so pleasantly surprised with the service that we got...the scratch looked SO much better. The wait wasn't too long, there were tons of magazines to pass the time and it was pretty clean in the waiting area. If your car is in a jam, definitely stop by. I was told they have a variety of services (oils, dents etc.). The streets of Westminster isn't always safe either...so a good place to keep in mind when needed. read more

ZERO STARS. I took my car here a couple of times in the course of 4 or 5 months as I had purchased a Lemon from SC Motors (never buy a car from there) and they "repaired" a couple of things under the warranty I had purchased. 1st time I took it here was because my engine needed to be replaced. After dropping it off at Xpress they tried to charge me over $600. 1st, they told me that the engine they ordered from Ford only came with one engine thermostat but my engine is special and needed 2 so they were trying to charge me for the second. WHY would you not tell ford the correct kind of engine and why would I have to be charged for your mistake? Also it was under WARRANTY! But David tried to convince me that warranty doesn't cover that, only purely the engine itself. So after calling the warranty company they confirmed they would cover the cost of 2nd piece. Then later they tried to do the same thing and charge me over $300 to reprogram the car after installing the engine because warranty doesn't cover the programming only the engine. They also pulled the whole Jiffy Lube stunt on me and told me all of my fluids needed to be flushed and refilled and my back brakes were about to give out (not covered under warranty). At this point this was the 3rd or 4th time my car needed work in less than 8 months so I just told them it was fine in hopes that I wouldn't have to do anything else to my car for a long time. they quoted me OVER $1,000!!!! How Ridiculous. That included flushing and replacing some fluids, back brakes, and reprogramming my car. Again, I called the warranty company who said they would 100% be covering the cost of the reprogramming which would have dropped my cost down to around $750. A couple days later I get a call from David to let me know my car is ready and that its going to be a total of $1,057??? These shady people replaced my back AND front brakes and said that since I approved them to do around $1,000 worth of work before the warranty company had agreed to cover the reprogramming of my car that they changed the front brakes too. So without calling me or getting ANY type of authorization to do even more work to my car, they did it anyway and charged me. I had to fight with David back and forth over the phone for about an hour. This guy really told me that after looking back in the notes of my car, they are very vague and he cant tell what was agreed upon. At first he was telling me the best they could do was give me $50 off so it would be around $950. HA! When I finally told him that what he did was ILLEGAL all of the sudden the front brake work was for free and my price was back down to $750. About a month later I had to take my car here again, this time to replace the turbo charge on my car. After getting it back something did not feel right at all when driving. About a month later, again I had to go back to replace some engine sensors. When getting my car back I was literally scared to drive it at this point. The entire car would shift and click when I went over bumps, slowed down, took turns, etc. I pleaded with the warranty company to let me take it somewhere else as I no longer trusted Xpress after my previous experiences and they agreed. I took it to Zubys Brake and Tire in Garden Grove. My car was ready in less than 2 hours and the first question they asked was "did you recently get work done to your car?" XPRESS AUTO LEFT THE ENTIRE FRAME OF THE CAR LOOSE. They literally sent me out there in a death trap. I called to let them know as soon as I found out what was going on and the man that answered the phone said "we stand by all of our work but we'd be happy to check it out if you want to stop by". Take your car to Zuby's. They are the ONLY people that have been honest with me in this whole car experience I have been having. read more

Did oil change here. Good service and good price. David and Ali were nice and fast about it. David then told me other services that my car needed. Replace cabin filter, engine air filter, get a battery service, brake flush, and radiator flush. David showed me all the buildup on my battery and said special price if I did it today was $25. Ok with me. He offered cabin filter and engine air filter for $50 each, with a discounted price if I did it today. He was right that they both needed to be replaced because they were very dirty. But this is either heavily overpriced, a scam, or both. I can easily buy the $15 filters myself and replace them in 5 minutes. You can too. So I declined this. When it came time to pay, I was charged for the cabin filter and engine air filter. I told this to Ali, who consulted with David. David said that I declined the service. Ali told David to write it down next time. Maybe it was an honest communication mistake, but maybe it wasn't. When I changed the engine air filter myself, the screws were incredibly difficult to remove. I had to increase the torque by using pliers with my screwdriver. They screwed it in way too much. read more

I've never experienced anything like this from a business. Not only did I bring my car in, but so did my mother. Needless to say, both vehicles were brought elsewhere to get the proper repairs. They did everything they could to secure the job, but not do it properly. Also, after letting them know that their mechanics touched my entire car with dirty oily hands they did it AGAIN when the car was brought in for them to "fix" what they mis-repaired. I let them know that I had to detail the car the first time they messed it up and they did it again... this place needs to be avoided at all costs. It feels like it's run by people who are working on cars for the first time in their lives and their reasoning is unreasonable... the place is completely unethical. I feel like the managers are doing their best with what they have and the pressure that's being put on them, but the culture in that place is NO GOOD and doesn't belong in a place like the United States. read more

I have a Mercedes with a unusual key and the mechanic didn't know to put the key in the ignition properly and got it stuck and tried to use a screwdriver to get it out. He admitted he was a fault and he said he would order a new ignition. Weeks later I called and they said oh we aren't ordering the part it's not our fault. It's been a few months since i've come here last when they told me i had an oil leak due to an old gasket. Stressed, I went to 3 separate shops to get second opinions and turns out there was no leak. I had been getting my oil changed here for a couple years when it was Purfect Auto and never had any problems, workers were always courteous and eager to help. I always bring my own oil and filter in for them to change out and never had an issue. Fast forward.... Time for another oil change. Found a coupon for this place that says $11.99 oil change for up to 5 quarts of oil and filter. Now remember, I have my own oil and filter. I was just hoping they would do the labor part for the $11.99 instead of the $15.00 I use to be charged. I show up and ask for an oil change and told him I have my own oil and filter. He tells me $20.00. I show him the coupon and he tells me its not for my vehicle. I said that's fine, I just want you to do the labor part, you don't have to use any of your products. He say's NO. Then tries to explain to me that because my vehicle takes synthetic oil, (which it doesn't), that it is more money. Again I explained that I didn't need him to use his oil or filter as I had my own, just needed the labor part. NO! It's $20.00 I take a deep breath and say, fine, thinking I will just find a new place for my next service. I walk into the waiting room ready to fill out the usual paper work. Another guy comes in a few minutes later and says I should come back in a half hour because they are all eating lunch. All 3 of them are eating lunch at 1:40 in the afternoon, not another customer around, just me. I turned around and walked out. SMH If that is how they treat customers, I can see why there wasn't anyone around and why they were all sitting around doing nothing. AVOID THIS PLACE, that's if youd like your vehicle actually repaired right and not Mickey moused. I paid for them to replace the upper ball joints, lower ball joints and upper control arm bushings on my 2018 tacoma. 3 days after getting it back I started hearing a low popping noise coming from the front passenger wheel, so I called them and dropped it off for them to diagnose the issue. Well after them having my truck for a day, I get a call pretty much telling me I'm crazy and theres no noise ("4 different mechanics drove my truck with no noise"). I was told to bring it back if it gets any worse, because they tried soo hard and couldn't find anything wrong. I got my truck back yesterday, but didn't have time to check it out, well i just got under my truck to see for myself what the issue is and these "mechanics" left the 2 bolts loose that hold my lower ball joint to the spindle. Yeah, if that got any worse I could have lost my life or wrecked my new truck. Mind you, this was a result of THEIR work when replacing my ball joints. I will never return or reccomend anyone to this place, I have a 3 year old daughter that also could have been in my truck if something happened. But they are extremely avid about calling you to try to do extra work that's not necessary, gotta make that money somehow right?
