10 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SEARCHBERG…read more 1.) IT'S A NUMBERS GAME FOR THEM BUT WITHOUT A CLEAR STRATEGY. The impression I have is it's easy to get new clients for them but then there's really no strategy behind their SEO. It's a hit and miss. But a good strategy they have is taking your money. They promise you a money back guarantee but then they will string you along for 6-8 months because "SEO takes time". Next thing you know, they will use that not to give you their refund. 2.) LACK OF HONESTY Overall traffic was going down the whole time. When I spoke to Rick Faultner, he said there was a bump on the 8th month as he was responding to the dispute I filed. But it's disingenuous. There's a bump in March is because I visited the sites so many times that month because I was updating it which is proven through the IP visits from where I am. A real SEO company would mark a client's IP address and their own so as not to affect the metric of the visits. In this case, they're using my own IP hits as justification for the bump. Who knows what they will do to future clients on inflating traffic from shady IP addresses. 3.) OVERALL TRAFFIC WILL LIKELY GO DOWN FOR A LONG TIME OR FOREVER My traffic for the last 8 months just kept going down with no confidence as to the next move. 4.) YOU'RE BETTER OFF POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA and POSTING BLOG ARTICLES ON YOUR OWN. As part of the package. They will offer social media management posts and blog posts. But then they've made mistakes on several occasions of posting blurry images and stock photo images on Instagram which likely resulted to me losing a potential partnership with an influencer because of those. Also, they will promise a certain number of posts like in Twitter per month but I had some months where they just posted 1 post. 5.) SHORT LINKS ARE IMPORTANT Google doesn't recognize www.yourwebsite.com/categories/cool-shirts. Google only recognizes short links which is www.yourwebsite.com/cool-shirts. They didn't do this short-linking for me. It's funny that if you visit SearchBerg's website, they use ShortLinks on every link they have. 6.) THEY WILL LIE AND NOT HONOR THEIR WORD ESPECIALLY THEIR MONEY BACK GUARANTEE In connection to #2, not only that they're disingenuous, they won't honor their word. When I complained and filed chargebacks weeks ago, Rick emailed me and said that they will refund all the money I paid. You'll see it in one of the photos below. You can guess what happened, nothing. Thank you Rick. Thank you Valerie. 7.) INCONSISTENT FOLLOW UPS & CANNOT BE REACHED Emails were sent. No replies. Rick, the last person I made contact with, said he will get back to me. Nothing for 3 weeks now. 8.) THERE WILL LIKELY BE NO SALES CONVERSIONS Ultimately, it's about the sales. Traffic is just one thing. SearchBerg couldn't even improve the overall traffic for my site. 9. ) YOU'RE BETTER OFF PAYING $200-$300 TO AN INDEPENDENT SEO FOR THOUSANDS OF BACKLINKS ONE TIME THAN WITH SEARCHBERG FOR 6-8 MONTHS. They outsource their services & you can easily tell. If they're claiming they submit backlinks and all that, it's nothing compared to paying someone thousands of backlinks. It's just part of the whole product packaging spiel. Better pay someone directly than paying SearchBerg with their mark-up. 10.) REVIEWS HERE ARE FAKE (& POSSIBLY EVEN BOUGHT) I've asked around the industry and I've heard that many, including SearchBerg, are now applying positive counter-feedbacks like maybe 5-10 for every negative review they get. If you look at Yelp, Reddit, TrustPilot, Google Reviews and Better Business Bureau, there's plenty of bad reviews for SearchBerg yet all of a sudden, several positive reviews would show up (such as in Google). See their FB also with reviews from fake profiles. If you're thinking that service was rendered for me, I actually I must now redo everything.
