I'm not sure if there are words to describe how impressed I am with XO Design Co., but I'll do my best. I used XO as both my floral/decor vendor and day-of coordinator for my wedding. They blew me away in both respects. Florals: I first met Nichole about a year and a half before my wedding. She agreed to meet me at a coffee shop near my home, and we went through my floral vision, etc. She sent me a summary of what we discussed, as well as a summary of costs. She was cheerful throughout the process, and even though my wedding was so far away, she made it a priority. I changed my vision several times, and each time, Nichole was patient and walked through various ideas with me. We actually met a second time to revamp my decor. The decor at my wedding exceeded all of my expectations. I told Nichole that I wanted to do muted blush with amber accents and lots of greenery, and she nailed it. She gave special attention to decorating the staircase at my venue, which I told her was the most important decor element to me! She even added leftover florals to my cake complimentary. All of my guests were in awe of her attention to detail. She really captured my vision and understood it better than I did myself. Planning: Since I noticed that Nichole was so easy to work with for floral/decor, I decided to hire her as my day-of coordinator. That was one of the best decisions that I could have made. She spent so much time going over every little detail, including making sure that the uplighting in my venue didn't negatively affect my photos. She picked up lunches for my bridal party that I ordered before the wedding and an ice cream cake. Someone took the wrong lunch, and she and Ashley ran out and grabbed another one for him. At one point, someone stepped on my MOH's toe which started bleeding everywhere, and Ashley quickly handled the situation. My day was completely stress-free because they were so on top of everything. They packed up everything for me at the end of the night in such an organized fashion. I'm genuinely going to miss working with them! So overall, the XO team is great. Their costs are reasonable, but most importantly, they are friendly, organized, and easy to work with. read more

I am still in awe and absolutely blown away by the work Nichole and her team at Xo Design put together for our wedding! From the initial meeting I had with Nichole to discuss my fiancé and I's wedding, I knew we had to work with her- there was no doubt in my mind! She already had so many ideas come to life in our first meeting, and from Day 1, through our wedding day, and beyond she has been such a JOY to work with! She was there for me through all the questions I had (big or small), was a text/phone call away whenever I needed to ask her something, professional, joyful, incredibly talented, kindhearted- the list goes on! There is one story that sticks out that speaks volumes about Nichole and the Xo team that I will never forget, it shows just how genuine they all are. On the instagram account for Xo, they had posted a photo and had said, "comment your favorite flower below". I wrote my favorite floral in the caption and posted it and on my wedding day the team showed up to deliver my bouquet and my bridesmaids, and in the bouquet were TULIPS! They said how they saw my comment on their instagram and wanted to incorporate my favorite flower in the bouquets- I mean COME ON! How special?! That to me will always be something I remember about Xo, they care SO MUCH and pay attention to every last detail-even when you don't think they are looking Nichole and her team will without a doubt bring your floral and decor dreams to life! Absolute visionaries! Everyone at Xo Design went above and beyond in order to help bring my fiancé and I's wedding day to life. Nichole and her team will ALWAYS have a place in my heart- not only were they amazing to work with, but overall SUCH great people. They didn't make you feel like 'just a client', they made you feel like a FRIEND and to have that was so, so special. I cannot not speak highly enough of Nichole and the team at Xo. We were so fortunate to be able to work with Nichole and the team at Xo- thank you all again for what you did to make our day so memorable and special! read more

Choosing Nichole at Xo Design Co. as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! If you're on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, just take our advice and DO IT - and hire Xo Design Co. The thought of having a day-of coordinator never crossed our minds. We were very skeptical. We thought ok, we can totally do this on our own. Well, the closer to got to our big day, we realized we needed someone we trusted to help execute the day-of details b/c there were so many running pieces. We didn't want to place stress on ourselves the day-of and hinder us from enjoying our wedding day. The last thing we wanted was to appoint our friends and family to assist with any day-of elements b/c we wanted our loved ones to enjoy the day as guests, stress-free. Insert Nichole and her team! They kept everything running smoothly the day-of. Nichole also led/ran the rehearsal the night before, which was extremely helpful. She wrangled a TON of family and got everyone to listen and follow directions in record time. She handled everything from start to finish. As someone who has a hard time not being in control, I was really worried that things wouldn't get done or there would be issues. And, everything ran smoothly ALL day! Our main reasoning for choosing Nichole besides the fact that she is so sweet and kind, was knowing she had a design background. Her company is a design company so she has a great eye for decor, set design, etc. I trusted her 100% to set up our tables which all required a special setup with props, decor, etc. Nicole and her team checked in on us frequently throughout the night and made sure we were eating, drinking water and asked if we needed anything - HANDS DOWN, the most thoughtful gesture ever. I think we were the most hydrated couple on their wedding day. . That all said, we are so grateful to Nichole and Xo for making our day so special and stress-free for us, our family and bridal party. Everything was executed seamlessly! read more

I cannot praise Nichole and her team at XO Design enough; they are absolutely phenomenal! Where do I even begin? They are, without a doubt, the best in the business. From the very start, their responsiveness and creativity set them apart. Nichole and her team not only listened to our vision but elevated it to a whole new level. They took our ideas and brought them to life in ways we couldn't have imagined. It's truly magical to see your dreams materialize before your eyes, and XO Design made that happen for us. What truly stands out is their unwavering support. When the wedding planning stress began to creep in, they were there, calming our nerves and finding solutions to every challenge that arose. They have an incredible ability to pivot as needed, ensuring that everything goes off without a hitch. Additionally, they consistently went above and beyond. Nichole met with us at our event space multiple times, brainstorming and providing invaluable information. This helped us coordinate seamlessly with other vendors, ensuring that every detail flowed effortlessly. One thing I'd like to highlight is their recommendations. You can wholeheartedly trust them when they suggest something. Their expertise and experience shine through in every piece of advice they offer. It's evident that they genuinely care about making your day as special as it can be. I couldn't recommend Nichole and the XO Design team more highly. They are a dream to work with and truly made our wedding day extraordinary. If you want a stress-free, creative, and magical wedding experience, XO Design is the way to go. Five stars doesn't seem like enough to express our gratitude for their outstanding work! read more

Xo Designs Co. was referred to me by a coworker who knew the owner personally. I was not intending on using a wedding planner as I had over a year to plan my wedding so thought I would have plenty of time to iron out details without needing to invest in the extra help. Nonetheless, I decided to meet with Nichole to learn more about her and her offered services. And, I am so very happy that I did! From the very first time we met, I felt Nichole was a breath of fresh air. Not only is she highly knowledgeable about the industry but she is genuinely one of the nicest people you will ever meet! Right away through casual conversation I realized how much I didn't know about wedding planning and that having someone there to handle the extra details might be beneficial. Ultimately, I employed Nichole as my 'day of' planner. But, I can tell you, she did above and beyond the duties of 'day of'. She was there by my side from the very beginning to help go to vendor appointments, answer my (what felt like) hundreds of questions and just overall consult. Looking back, I could not imagine my special day without Xo Designs. Nichole and her entire staff are hard working, professional and a joy to be around. If you are considering a wedding planner or day of planner, I highly endorse Xo Designs! Furthermore, Nichole does beautiful design and floral work. I employed her to decorate my rehearsal dinner space and it turned out more gorgeous than I could have ever dreamed! If you have an opportunity to utilize Nichole's amazing design or floral skills, I highly recommend doing so! You will be extremely pleased : ) read more

From the moment that I was introduced to Nichole by my SIL, I absolutely knew without a doubt that she had to design our wedding!! The second I became engaged I had a vision of what our wedding would be... and Nichole made sure the day was everything that I had envisioned and so much more!! This 5 star review simply won't do justice to what Nichole and her team were able to accomplish. Nichole has an amazing sense of style and the most sophisticated eye for design I've ever seen. But perhaps equally as important if not more important as the two aforementioned qualities, is her huge heart and love for her clients and what she does. She went above and beyond to ensure our dreams came true... even when I thought I may be asking the impossible! From the second that I walked into Chez on our wedding day on May 6th until the moment that the evening ended I had goosebumps. There are honestly no words to describe the beauty that Nichole created in a space which was gorgeous and elegant to begin with. From the floral, to the alter, to the lounge area, lighting and everything in between... literally a fairytale!!! To all future brides and grooms ... please do yourself a favor and meet with Nichole! I can promise you, it will be the best decision you make with respect to planning and design! XOXO read more

Floral and Decor Dreams Come True I found Xo Design Co and Nichole via Wedding Wire and Instagram. We quickly made plans to meet to discuss floral/decor and planning/coordination. I didn't have a very focused vision of what I wanted but after one meeting with Nichole, we had it all figured out. She showed me lots of pictures, we talked about my home decor, clothing style and life in general--and totally bonded. She was able to quickly identify my style and pair that with the feeling I wanted our wedding day to have. I provided a very loose idea of a budget and Nichole never once pushed me outside my comfort zone. We also hired her and the team to handle day-of-coordination. I didn't want to do anything other than enjoy the day of my wedding so this was an excellent choice--I barely lifted a finger day-of! The flowers and decor were absolutely stunning and unique. They were beautiful with a little bit of an edgy, boho-chic feel---exactly what I was going for. Nichole and her team are true professionals and they did a fantastic job making sure I was aware of and loved every detail. Our wedding was one of the best days of my life and Nichole and her team set the stage in the most perfect, gorgeous and dreamy way. My friends and family still can't stop talking about it! read more

I never planned on having/needing a planner and looking back I cannot explain how happy I am that I came to my senses and hired Nichole and her team at XO. I originally wasn't sure if having a day/month of planner was worth the money but I now realize I couldn't have done it without one. From our very first meeting, Nichole made me feel like a long-time friend (we spent the first hour chatting about life and traveling!) and helped answer so many questions I didn't even know I had. Nichole and her team are very organized and helped to make sure that everyone was on the same page at all times. Our wedding went off without a hitch and that's because if there were any problems, I didn't know about them thanks to Nichole being there every step of the way. I also used XO for some of our floral and decor needs and everything was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have been more happy with how our venue turned out. All in all, if you're on the fence about hiring a planner or just aren't sure you've found the right one, your search can stop here. I promise if you hire Nichole and her XO team, you will be SO happy you did. I was very relaxed and enjoyed every minute of my wedding thanks to Nichole and her team! read more

Nichole was a GODSEND. We booked our florist just three months out and she did a phenomenal job helping us pick beautiful flowers while still keeping within a reasonable budget. I brought her pinterest photos of my vision and she helped coordinate it all into one beautiful bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet and many boutonnieres. I switched corsage wristlet types, bouquet wrap colors many times over and she was spot on with updating my profile. I was very afraid that all the colors in the wedding were going to clash ans she put me at ease with all the decisions I had made regarding decor and she was right - everything looked divine. I am so happy with our decision to work with her, but most importantly, I am glad I had Nichole in my corner every step of the way. She arrived early for our delivery at the hotel of personals and set up the chapel and the reception area. She even stayed during the ceremony to move the ceremony flowers into the reception hall for double use. AND she captured our dove release on her phone and created a boomerang video which was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and had an eye for design. She seriously is amazing...book her! read more

Nicole was amazing!! I knew very little about flowers and what I wanted for my wedding going into my consultation with Nicole, but she made me feel so comfortable and confident with my decision to choose her for my floral design. She knew so much about different elements to include in my bouquets and centerpieces and would show me pictures as well to help me visualize ideas. She was so quick to respond to my text messages and emails and even designed some floral hair pieces on short notice. She was very conscious of my budget as well which we really appreciated. Her designs were stunning! My colors were blush/pink and cream with a rustic chic feel and my flowers were more beautiful then I could have ever even imagined. I feel like my wedding theme is common and a lot of designs can be similar but Nicole created beautiful arrangements and bouquets that were unique from everything else that I have seen before in portfolios and websites. Her designs brought the whole wedding concept together and everyone LOVED the flowers! I would not have changed a thing and would highly recommend Nicole to anyone! read more

There are so many big (and often tricky) decisions to make for your wedding day, but hiring XO was one of the easiest. Nichole is so sweet and makes you feel like you have both a trusted vendor and an enthusiastic cheerleader by your side from the first phone call to the final hours of your special day. Nichole really helped us hone our vision for our big day and made amazing recommendations for us. When we were doubting ourselves on big things, or just wanted some feedback on the smallest items, Nichole was incredibly supportive and I think that is a theme from all of the reviews you'll read about her - her strength is not just in her designs, she's an awesome person too. She really pushed us to do what we wanted with the look and feel for our space, not just stick with what felt "safe". She is truly a gem and made sure our day felt like "us". So many of our guests remarked on what an amazing altar space she created for us, and the ambiance she created with our tables was incredible. I was recommended Xo Design Co. thru my sister in law thru Facebook. I decided to follow up and set up a meeting in person with the owner of Xo Design Co, Nichole Johnston. Nichole was outstanding! She did not miss a beat! The flowers were beyond stunning!!! Her creativity, her professionalism went above and beyond! She is full of ideas and everyone at the wedding commented on the beauty of her work. I would highly recommend using Xo Design Co on any wedding events. She is the absolute best! She is amazing and so knowledgeable about how to make your vision a reality (and within your budget)! I had some ideas for my wedding and a price point in mind, and we were able to come up with the perfect combination of flowers and accents to really bring everything together. I even had a few last minute changes, as in two days before the wedding, and Nichole got it done without hesitation. It was so nice to have someone that I knew I could count on throughout the entire process. I truly have enjoyed her professionalism and her passion. Best, Val read more

Working with Nichole was a wonderful experience. I planned our wedding myself and didn't really know where to start. I came to Nichole with a few ideas (bold multi colored flowers, neutral linens, with a whimsical feel) and she transformed these ideas into a BEAUTIFUL theme. Working with her was really fun - we spent a few hours scouring pictures of flowers and decor until we found exactly what I wanted within our budget. No small detail was overlooked. It was great that they could take care of both the flowers and the decor - a one stop shop! Nichole is sweet, responsive and flexible - she answered all of my texts and emails within like 20 minutes. Any changes to the flower count/decor were handled very smoothly. And the finished product was AMAZING. I could not have asked for anything more - the flowers were breathtaking and the decor was perfect. Nichole helped us transform our wedding into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind event. We are forever grateful. read more

If you are looking for a professional with great attention to detail, who is very personable, and who produces stunning flower creations, look no further than Nichole with XO Design. Since I met with Nichole to discuss details, I knew she would be the one I go with. I went into the meeting with not much of a vision, as I don't know much about flowers, and came out confident that my wedding day would look amazing. It was a one-stop-shop, I did not meet with any other flower vendors. And sure enough, I am so grateful to have put my trust in Nichole because the flowers were absolutely perfect!! Nichole was even able to adjust my order the week of the wedding, which I honestly thought would not have been possible. Nichole was very honest about everything along the whole process, and always responded promptly to all my questions and concerns. Nichole is an absolute pleasure to work with, and she is just a sweetheart and a friend forever. read more

Working with Nichole and her team at XO Design Co. was honestly the best decision I made when planning our wedding. When I initially met with Nichole, I was beyond impressed because she was able to build upon the very minimal ideas that I provided at the time (I am not a creative person) and that she was able to on to come up with an absolutely dreamy vision for our wedding on the spot during our first meeting. The only details I told her were the general color scheme and that I wanted "dark and moody" as the vibe... she took this information and created a truly stunning event for us. Throughout the process, Nichole and her team were extremely responsive and she treated me like a friend, which made me feel valued and comfortable as I worked with her. Nichole and her team put care and thought into every detail to make it perfect. I cannot emphasize enough how fortunate we were to have worked with XO Design Co. read more

Nichole and XO Design Co are as good as it gets! I was looking for a florist and a design team that would not only create beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets for the big day but that would also take part in the entire design/set up and break down of our wedding event space(s) at the Ritz Carlton. Nichole did just that and the entire process was so easy and seamless (I was even planning a Chicago wedding from NYC). I told her my vision and what I wanted and she made it happen and all within our budget! I was beyond stunned when I walked into the beautiful room that Nichole and her team created on my wedding day. I am so thankful to have worked with an honest and professional wedding vendor (especially in today's climate of being overcharged for EVERYTHING wedding related). Thank you XO! We will definitely be using you for all of our future floral and design needs xoxo read more

I am so thankful to have been able to work with Nichole and her team for my wedding. Starting from the initial consultation to the day of the wedding, Nichole was able to take my vision and brought it to life. I remember sitting down with Nichole during the initial consultation and I told her I knew absolutely nothing about flowers. Within an hour, she was able to create a beautiful design and it was truly better than anything I could have ever imagined. It was so easy to communicate with Nichole throughout the entire wedding planning process. It was also so helpful that her and her team came back to the venue at the end of the reception to pick up decorations that were rented. This allowed our guests to enjoy the night and not worry about any sort of clean up.I highly recommend Nichole and her team to anyone who is looking to have their dream wedding become a reality. read more

Nichole is AMAZING! From the minute I sat down with her, I felt like we had been friends for years. She sat with me, listened to all of my ideas and provided me a vision board to make my flower and decor dreams a reality. She was constantly in contact with me and would be in contact with my other vendors to make sure everything I had dreamed of came to life. Her team set up our venue and it took my breath away. I heard from just about everyone how beautiful and how detailed every piece of our day was and that was in huge thanks to Nichole and her employees. I would definitely recommend using Nichole to any bride in the future if they are looking for someone who will listen to you, your price range and vision and make it come to life.
