No response to my 2 internal request for a quote, I have to email you. Then your own deadline isn't met." Then Nicole asked me question some that I already answered in my initial requests. Clearly, no attentiveness or attention to detail. Sent me their basic cookie cutter event stuff. I didn't want their cookie cutter display stuff from their website. I wanted a quote for something unique. I answered her email questions then an Ali responses saying "Nicole is out of the office until Monday." She went on to tell me "12 days is enough for us to accommodate your requests." I don't think they could handle my request. As Nicole previously stated, "I sincerely apologize for the delay and completely understand your frustration. You're right that I had given you a timeline, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet it or communicate the delay with you sooner. We are currently in the height of our busiest season, and our response and proposal lead times have unfortunately been longer than usual. That being said, I should have kept you updated rather than leaving you waiting. I am working on your decks and will have it over to you today. After the arrangement has been picked, the staff always make sure to double-check that we are okay with the price point if it is more than expected. She motioned another worker to help us out. This other worker was actually really nice and had a normal human interaction with us, congratulating us and asking what we were looking for. The moment we mentioned the word "wedding" the manager's head popped up as if we were in a Key and Peele skit and she said "OH, I didn't know that's what we're doing here." She immediately got up from her laptop and told us it's $100 minimum for a wedding bouquet. For some reason she said we needed to email her, even though we were talking to her in the store. Since it was a city hall wedding we just wanted a small bouquet to hold but she was insisting it needed some type of pearl pin and a vase that's included in the cost. Even if we removed the vase she couldn't reduce the price. We pulled up some inspiration photos on etsy to show what we were looking for. The manager starts listing the full scientific names of flowers which confused us. It would have been nice to look and pick out the flowers based on what we saw in the store rather than her just listing genus and species of various flowers. We ended up placing an $86 order for a boutonnierre and bouquet of 5 tulips with greenery with no idea how big it would be or what it would actually look like. Me and my (now wife) spent an hour after debriefing how terrible of an experience that was. My wife pulled up a photo to show me how sad 5 tulips would look. Also that's a really expensive price for just 5 tulips. Ultimately we called the next day to cancel our order, which she did no problem. For that I'll bump it up to 1.5 stars. We ended up making our own bouquet from the selection at Jewel and it turned out just fine. Our bouquet did not wilt all day, as the manager insisted any bouquet would without a vase. We really were disappointed with this experience since we saw all the great reviews on Yelp and Google.
