Another great dinner at Xina last weekend, and our server Kat was phenomenal. We had some family members tricky allergies, and she was incredibly thorough to make sure we knew what was OK to eat - even checked with the chef a few times to be sure. Servings continue to be large - we got five entrées and a roll for four adults and two preteens, and it was still too much food! But I'll never say no to leftovers. The Spice is Right roll was the perfect bite for a starter. XO Fat Noodles remains my favorite, but the group favorite of the night was the Orange Beef; General Tsos Chicken and Pad Thai (x2) also did not disappoint. BYOB. Great ambience. We keep eating too much for dinner, so haven't tried dessert. But we will be back! read more

Highly recommend! We came here on a Saturday night and were able to easily snag a place at the sushi bar. The staff were so welcoming, sweet and knowledgeable about the menu items. The place itself is located right off the main road with an added bonus of their own small parking lot! It was decorated beautifully inside and the ambiance really added to the overall likeability of the place. For food we ordered the spicy rock shrimp, scallion pancakes, spice is right roll and the XO noodles. The winner was definitely the noodles but everything was delicious and with very healthy portions! The price of all that food was extremely reasonable as well. The only downside was that this place is BYOB and all we were offered drinks wise was water. I think this place could be even better if they made some mocktails or fun drinks to go along with the food! read more

Xina was a a lot of fun, I am glad I was able to secure a reservation for a group of 6 BYOB, parking can be challenging. The employees are terrific, great personalities and you can tell they love working there. Modern setup with an open kitchen and sushi bar. The food is excellent, portion sizes are on the larger side. Fantastic opportunity to over order and share with a group. My favorite items included: the 20oz lobster tail special with Walnut Shrimp. Fried perfectly and sauced nicely. The pork chops are a can't miss, fork tender! The Bacon Egg and Cheese fried rice was as good as I thought it would be, just get it. The sushi dinner plate was tremendous, the fish is sliced perfectly and extremely fresh. I will come back for another visit before summer. read more

If you want, good sushi, unbelievable, great oysters and just a good variety of Asian food this is the only place in the area I have found that has it in quality and quantity. (That is, if you don't consider Italian ethnic food) The one in Bradley Beach is not quite as good but we were there when they first opened so maybe they've improved since. While my review might be not be long it is the only one that you should listen to if you're going to spend your hard earned money going out for Asian. read more

This one was a bit of a surprise to me. I had gone to Xina's original location in Toms River a few years ago and was left underwhelmed, but decided to give Xina another try at their new location in Bradley Beach. This new venue is definitely smaller than the original, but maintains a clean minimalist aesthetic. The server could not have been more helpful or accommodating and had a very intimate knowledge of seemingly every item on the menu, including the extensive list of specials. We began with dumplings, calamari salad, and some tuna sushi rolls. The dumplings were perfectly satisfactory and hit the spot just right for when you're craving a dumpling. Dipping sauce complimented them well. Additionally, the sushi rolls had incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting tuna. Lastly, the calamari salad, being the most unique of the bunch, was definitely the star. It had a mild flavor, that was brought out and paired perfectly with their wonderful in-house sauce. My entree was the xo fat noodles and they were nothing short of fantastic. It had wonderful flavor, a good assortment of veggies and proteins, in a very generously sized portion. This may be my new go-to, as I will certainly be making a return visit. read more

A smaller location than their Tom's River establishment set in modern looking minimalist aesthetics, but food is just as good. Their chicken and shiitake mushroom dumplings are quite good, the wrapping is thick and chewy and filling is flavorful. The sauce could have used some sesame oil but overall still good. I asked for my Kalbi lamb to come with bok choy (because otherwise there's no veggies besides scallions) and they were happy to accommodate. The Kalbi sauce was a little sweet for my liking but still pairs nicely with the lamb. Overall a very good meal. read more

Waiting for a few months before we tried this new Xina we were very pleased with our recent dining experience. The food, service and ambience were all top notch. The only nit was their sushi bar looks like an after thought not being very large or functional. So if that is your thing stick with their original location in Toms River where their sushi bar rules. Otherwise all other aspects of their Bradley Beach operation are first rate including their excellent service delivery. Please see the attached photos for comments on the food. This place is new. Previously a 7-11 was here. It is small, so make a reservation especially in summer. The restaurant is open, modern, too bright. Tables for two are tiny and way too close to each other. Even half-full, the ambiance is noisy. So, why did I rate Xina 5 stars? First of all, it is a BYOB. Consider how much you will save compared to a restaurant serving alcohol - a $12 bottle of wine selling for $35 then add tax and tip and that wine cost you $45. Second, service by Lauren was very attentive, friendly and funny. Third, and most important the food is delicious. Last evening, we dined early (had a reservation). We started with a scallion pancake with a bowl of burrata, honey etc. Yummy. For entrees, we had Walnut Shrimp and Lamb Chops, sharing. Sooooo good! Not to be confused with the popular Toms River original location, this spot has similar offerings but it's own flair. Inside is clean and crisp, very minimalist. Service is great and the food is delicious. We enjoyed and recommend it all: ~Ginger salad ($8) - mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, ginger ~Spicy Crab & Cucumber Salad ($10) ~Pad Thai ($18) - add chicken to the rice noodles, celery, carrots, bean sprouts, smoked tofu, egg, Thai basil, peanuts ~General Tsos Chicken ($23) - breaded chicken breast, peppers, onions, chili spicy chongqing Dishes are served family style so fun to share. I've been wanting to come here for a while and we made a reservation to celebrate two of our friends birthdays. We seated right away after we checked in. It's a modern, coastal concept and very right and inviting once you're inside. It took a second for someone to come over to us, but after the initial interaction, the service was really good. We started off with the ginger salad, and the dressing was awesome, the rock shrimp, which I loved and surprisingly was not too spicy for me and the coconut shrimp roll, which was good. For dinner we got the general tsos chicken which I thought was just okay- it had a kick and the xo fat noodles which I loved. We added beef, which I wasn't crazy about, but the noodles and themselves were awesome, I've never had anything like that. They ended up bringing out dessert for the birthdays which was so nice and it was really good. It was a light and airy vanilla type of cake. The manager was great, we got along so well with him and he was also very attentive. Can't wait to come back! read more

I think I got a head of myself with the ordering! Started with the scallion pancake just for myself because I know how good it is. Also ordered the angry dragon roll which was good but I didn't love the mango in it, my fault. They had a bulgogi fried rice special which I was unfortunately only able to have a few bites before being extremely full. However, it made for excellent leftovers! Beautiful restaurant, the small parking lot was full but we done a parking spot right in front. It's BYOB so we brought beer with us. We started with truffle edamame which was my favorite. Truffley sweet and savory all at the same time. Scallion pancake wasn't my favorite but was my husband's fave. I feel there wasn't enough scallion in the pancake. The burrata part was really just stracciatella which was very creamy and nice. The crispy rice was good, a small cube of rice and avocado, spicy tuna and a small piece of whole tuna on top. Sauces on the plate were good. Vegetarian pad Thai was very good. Lots of chopped peanuts on top which I loved. The special roll was very fresh and good but I think I was sick of truffle flavor at that point and only had one bite lol I brought the rest home for my daughters and they loved it! Short Summary: Two weeks ago I visited Xina in Bradley Beach. In short, it was a great experience. The menu has some traditional Asian and sushi options but also offers adventurous twists. The sushi was outstanding--the fish was very fresh, clearly of high quality, and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs take pride in what they serve. The servers were extremely welcoming and friendly, especially Sasha and Ana. I would definitely come back if I lived nearby, and next time I'm in Jersey, I'll be sure to stop by again. Detailed Review: My girlfriend and I came here on a Thursday night and were surprised at how busy it was. The quoted wait time was 45 minutes, but it ended up being a little shorter--keep in mind this was just for seats at the sushi bar. I would highly recommend a reservation ahead of time if possible. Right away, Sasha greeted us with a warm welcome. Before we were even seated, she walked us through the menu, shared her personal favorites, and gave recommendations. This was incredibly helpful and saved us a lot of time deciding what to order once we sat down. When we were seated at the sushi bar, our server Ana introduced herself and got us settled in. Throughout the evening, Sasha also came back to check on us, which made the experience feel very personal and attentive. One unique aspect here is that the restaurant doesn't sell alcohol but allows you to bring your own wine or beer. We saw several tables enjoying their own bottles, and it added to the lively, social vibe of the place. Scallion Pancake: Delicious. Scallion pancakes are a Chinese staple, and while simple, they paired them here with burrata, chili crisps, hot honey, and scallions. Normally, I'd call it a crime to eat scallion pancakes with anything other than a soy-based dipping sauce. Burrata sounded ridiculous...but somehow it worked. Surprisingly good, and one of the more creative dishes of the night. I would definitely order again. Scallop & Shrimp Toast: I love shrimp toast, so I was excited for this. Xina's version adds scallop and a sweet yuzu glaze. While I appreciate the creativity, I personally found it lacking in shrimp flavor--the star of the dish. On top of that, the yuzu was overly sweet, which threw the balance off. For me, this one missed the mark. I wouldn't order it again, but I respect the effort to put a new spin on a classic. Nigiri: The eel and aburi salmon nigiri were phenomenal. The eel was cooked perfectly, and the salmon was buttery and literally melted in my mouth. I could easily come here and just order nigiri all night. Truffle Toro Roll: This roll came recommended by Sasha and included tuna, toro, cucumber, shiso, truffle soy, and black tobiko. While it looked beautiful, the truffle flavor was overwhelming and drowned out the delicacy of the tuna and toro. After two pieces, it was tough to keep going. If you love truffle, this might be right up your alley, but for me, it was too much. Still, I respect that they're pushing boundaries and trying bold combinations. General Tso's: An absolute standout. The chicken was fried perfectly--juicy inside with a crisp exterior that held up even under the sauce. I loved the stir-fried peppers mixed in, which added a great texture. My only critique is that the sauce leaned a little too sweet. Dialing it back would make an already excellent dish even better. Overall: Xina is a gem in Bradley Beach. The atmosphere is energetic, the service is warm and attentive, and the food is a balance of tradition and bold experimentation. Not every dish landed for me, but the ones that did were unforgettable, and even the misses showed thought and creativity. I'd rate Xina a solid 4.5 stars, but since Yelp doesn't allow half-star ratings, I rounded up to 5 because it's definitely closer to 5 than 4. Between the quality sushi, unique menu, and top-notch hospitality, I would recommend Xina to anyone visiting the area. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Jersey. read more

This spot was great. We went on one of its opening nights, so the menu was still soft launching. Everything I ate was so delicious--no complaints at all. I first had the scallion pancakes which were excellent. The chili burrata with hot honey truly made the dish. It was so unique, creamy, and yum. The wagyu was also awesome--we loved cooking the meat on the hot stone. It felt like an activity within the meal. Plus, it tasted great. The roasted duck in the bao buns were tender & delicious. All of the servers were friendly and helpful. I liked the atmosphere as well. I always dig an open kitchen. The vibe was simple--a crème/beigey color scheme furnished with stone/wood/clay decor. I've never been to the Toms River location and this one recently opened up in Bradley Beach so I had to give it a try. The service was fairly quick and we stuck with sushi for the main meals , although the entrees and other options look great and a must try next time especially the Rice Rolls. I have tried to come to this establishment many times. I can usually only get to this area on weekends and they usually don't have seating for one and I'm turned away. Recently, I was able to sit at the sushi bar. I had heard such amazing things about this place. I ordered a special for an appetizer and the flavors just weren't balanced. It wasn't bad but it wasn't balanced. There was something missing to cut the flavors. Something was missing. I stayed safe with a well-known entrée dish that did not taste anything like it was supposed to. I would comment on the service, but I did not receive service. Everything took so long that one appetizer and one entrée took me almost 2 hours that I took maybe four bites in total of.. parking is really hard here. read more

We ate for the first time at this restaurant's second location, having already enjoyed a dinner at their Tom's River place. The room is light and airy, service was terrific, and the food was great. The daily special of Steamed Lamb Wontons in Chili Sauce was spectacular. The various various sushi rolls were all very fresh and tasty. And the Orange Beef was enough to feed four. Delicious. We first came to this place for my wife's birthday and I have to admit I was hesitant at first because nearly all of the clientele was Caucasian and we were the only Asians in the place (aside from some of the staff and the owner, I think). While I knew this was a kind of Asian fusion type place, I had initially thought that the menu would be watered down versions of dishes we knew to appeal primarily to hipster white people but, boy were we pleasantly surprised!! The sushi combinations were inventive, the raw bar selections were numerous, and the cooked entrees were executed well and didn't skimp on the portions! The appetizers such as the scallion pancake (with burrata, Sichuan chili crisp, and caviar), Kobe ishiaki (wagyu slices cooked on a hot stone), and hamachi crudo were some of our favorites! We were continuously amazed by the various flavor combinations that we never imagined would go together but really worked! The various sushi entrees like the Hokkaido-Don and Sake-Don were absolutely sublime, with peak freshness and just the right temperature rice. The overall decor is unpretentious - homey and warm but cool and bustling at the same time, if that makes sense. The staff are all really polite and patient when explaining the specials (special shout-out to our server, Nick) and we've been back twice now (the latest for my daughter's birthday). This is one of our new favorites in the area and I'm so glad we found it! Xina in Mandarin (吸纳) means to absorb or attract/draw in. I don't know if that's why they named it but it definitely fits! Xina is somewhere I have been wanting to check out. I heard all about their toms river location and glad they opened one up a little more north. It is a small place with the tables close together so it is loud in there. I dont mind so all good. The food was exceptional though. The special roll of the night with salmon and spicy tuna and some crunchy spicy stuff on top was a hit. So good and light. The crispy rice was lovely and had the right crunch to it. Also got a couple Nigiri's and they were fresh and simple. The bacon egg and cheese fried rice grew on me as the meal progressed but glad I ordered. The general tso's was massive pieces of chicken served piping hot with a nice crunch to it. It could use some more spice to it but loved it overall. The matcha cake for dessert was forgettable. I would skip. Overall, a great meal and I would 100% recommend. read more

This place has been exceptional since dsy one of going there. The hostess Natalie and Sarah are very friendly, professional and bring smile to your face each and everyone. Staff is also very professional, friendly and attentive. The ambiance is amazing woth the set up. At times can be noisy but to be expected when the place is filled up. The good is exceptional. Apps, entrees and specials have all been delicious and flavorful. Entrees are large in portion size but worth it. Some of my favorites to have are for warm up... vegetable spring rolls, wonton soup, lobster wonton, ginger salad and entrees... garlic pork chop, orange beef, orange beef, whole fosh cooked to perfection. Great vibe, not sure about the regular entrees but some of the most flavorless sushi I have ever had. Very disappointing.

Ordered 2 rolls for takeout. The amount of salmon in the Alaska Roll was disappointing, I definitely expect more fish for the price. The Coconut Shrimp Roll is good with a yummy sauce but the avocados on top were brown. I love the Toms River location but my first visit to Bradley was a bit of a let down. read more

Went early at open with no reservation was seated pretty quickly for a Saturday. Definitely smaller place seating next to other tables were tight but the food was Incredible! Had the fried chicken dumplings, crispy sushi rice for starters both were phenomenal will definitely get both again Banzai Roll with salmon was delicious !! Will definitely get again General Tso's as an entree with the pad tai both were incredibly good and large portions easy to share or definitely have some left overs. Gave the BEC bacon egg yellow American? Rice a shot just because it seemed so unique and worth it, big fried rice guy but this wasn't my fav.
