They gave me a new number and I am trying to cancel my landline, but they say I have to keep service until the end of the month and pay for it because "it is in their terms and conditions". I have spent HOURS on the phone with them trying to get this straightened out and they are sorry, but they can't do anything to help me. No partial credit, no free month of internet, nothing. I guess this should be all I lost in the theft of my identity. But that they can't do anything because it was ported out following the "proper procedures" (even if I have a police report) is beyond irritating. Grrrr. I suppose it's just as well I can't get the number back since it is now connected to someone else.

I have Spectrum internet. Have had it for years. We have been having some dropped connections…read morelately so we had a tech come and fix it. Here is my experience... I went to Spectrum. com to report the problem. When the router/modem was tested they found a problem and gave me options for a tech to come and fix it. I selected the 10 to 11 slot for the next day. At 10 am the tech arrived. He spent over an hour updating our outside line, installing a new modem/router and making sure that all of out TVs were set up to connect to the new equipment. I have been with the same Internet/TV/Cable providers since cable was invented. The name has…read morechanged several times due to constant buyouts but I never left. I have always remained loyal, always paid my bill on time, was the "Classic Sucker". For what reason I have no idea, I have remained loyal to a fault while they abused me at every turn. I had my cable, Internet, and telephone with them thinking they would show me some appreciation... No! That just gave them more options to arbitrarily raise my bill anytime they felt like it. And they certainly did do that. It seemed like every time I opened my bill there was some nonsensical increase without warning. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced any other carrier would be any different. So I feel stuck. Called customer service to no avail. They give you a bunch of double talk and no help at all. I have now cancelled my cable TV to get my bill under control. So, what did I find when I opened my May bill... a combined increase of 25% for the Internet and phone. Just can't win...

I waited no more than 15 minutes after ending the phone call before they arrived (granted I live fairly close but still very quick) and had my car door opened / receipt in hand within 5 minutes of them showing up!
