I have been with the same Internet/TV/Cable providers since cable was invented. The name has changed several times due to constant buyouts but I never left. I have always remained loyal, always paid my bill on time, was the "Classic Sucker". For what reason I have no idea, I have remained loyal to a fault while they abused me at every turn. I had my cable, Internet, and telephone with them thinking they would show me some appreciation... No! That just gave them more options to arbitrarily raise my bill anytime they felt like it. And they certainly did do that. It seemed like every time I opened my bill there was some nonsensical increase without warning. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced any other carrier would be any different. So I feel stuck. Called customer service to no avail. They give you a bunch of double talk and no help at all. I have now cancelled my cable TV to get my bill under control. So, what did I find when I opened my May bill... a combined increase of 25% for the Internet and phone. Just can't win... read more

hskip to navigationskip to contentskip to supporting content search for plumber home for sale & free chats 1 notifications 20 groups events invite neighbors post settings help center filter by post tom pattison willoughby hills · 1 day ago · major disappointment with spectrum mobile hi... i have been a customer of spectrum for over thirty years.... i have some major health issues and on top of them lost my sight.... the last ceo of spectrum was tom rutledge and he was fantastic... if i had a problem he dug into it and always did not give up till it was fixed.... i was always loyal to spectrum and they were great to me.... when they started mobile service i was one of their first people to get it.... i even bought my phone from them.... up until last year the phone service was good.... then it stopped.... i need a phone that works.... i have a pacemaker and many heart issues and am blind and need a good phone.... i found tom retired and sent a email to the new ceo many times.... i for eightmonths had a cell phone that had no signal so in my home it was dead to me.... i finally got assigned someone to oversee all and after months of my time to try and stay with spectrum i was told they cannot find what is wrong so it has to be my phone.... spectrum helped me get a new phone and told me i could live with it for fourteen days and if it also failed they would give me my money back .... they did not tell me the fourteen days started from when you placed the order... in reality you have maybe six days only to try it and get money back.... in my home with the new phone i have one bar of signal most of the time... the spectrum person who was in charge of my case told me to just go to verizon or tmobile.... they said it was also in question if i could get my money back... tom rutledge would not have done any of this and he would have found what the problem was and had it fixed many months ago.... it appears no one cares anymore at spectrum as they told me to go elsewhere.... yes, after thirty years i guess i should have just given up and gone to another polace but every day i fight health issues and go to doctors and this stress and finding the time to go to other providers now after all this time is just sick.... shame on you spectrum..... 6 read more

Spectrum's TV and internet service has actually improved over the Time-Warner days, but their customer service is the WORST! If you need to call with a question about billing, or to change your service, prepare for at least a 45 minute wait on hold, then they probably won't be able to help for some reason, and you will need to start all over again. read more

I can't stand spectrum they essentially tricked me into the affordable connectivity program and charged me for service that I unknowingly transferred and they didn't tell me about. they're sneaky and deceptive. I had my internet service through Spectrum and have switched to T-Mobile. Spectrum kept increasing its costs until I decided enough was enough. When I asked them to find a cheaper plan, I was told there wasn't one. When I told them I was switching, the representative suddenly found a cheaper plan. When I cancelled Spectrum, I was paying $84.99 per month just for internet service. I am now getting it for $50.00 per month and T-Mobile has promised not to increase its rates. I am pleased to be free from Spectrum. It is as bad, if not worse than AT&T. So far, I am happy with T-Mobile and the service seems to be faster. My advice is for consumers to avoid Spectrum if you can. They may have changed the name, but in the end, it is still the same old Time-Warner Cable service. I would rate Spectrum lower than one star if I could. read more

I changed to spectrum after seeing their commercial for 500mb Internet speed. When I had it installed I used their speed test and got a WiFi speed of 19mb WOW I was about 15 feet away from the router. Then I tried my wired pc and got 66mb speed. How can they get away with this BS. read more

It's really not the fault of Spectrum but it is unfortunate that the spoofers are ahead of the provider of telephone service. Here is a copy of the text I had to send to family & friends: Our landline is now disconnected. The number that begins with a 'V' that had our number as a callback number (spoofed) cannot be remedied by Spectrum. I told them fix it or disconnect it. They could not fix it. The only calls we get are sales calls. $20 a month for sales calls. The 'V' number called no fewer than 5 times so far today. The other day it was a Robocall stating that they were Microsoft and my network had been comprimised. Can you please do something before I am forced to drop the mobile number as well. It was nice to have an emergency means to contact or be contacted. Back to the stone age as it will be ruined by a few. The 'DoNotCall Registry is a joke. I have placed our numbers on it repeatedly. read more

Dishonest service practices! I was told that my internet prices would not change but in two months it did. Also, I was told that the modem was free, and next month was charged for WI-FI. I wanted to cancel my services in the middle of the month and was told that I would not get a refund nor the services for the rest of the month, so better to call for the end of the month. I asked of a cheaper Internet because of my unemployment and was told that there was no such thing. I miss Time-Warner! They were honest about pricing, showed my data usage, and had a great phone app that was deactivated by the greedy Spectrum. read more

Spectrum will continue to send you ads for their TV and phone services even when you ask them not to. I only need Internet service but am subjected to a lot of stupid ads. I have asked three separate time to stop sending me this stuff. Also, when my service was connected I was not allowed to have it on the first floor of my house. I was told "NO" by the installer. read more

When, the billing department contacts you in regards to a past due bill that's "Not Past due" and never has been, and then has you hold for 30 min when they call you...don't get upset!
