Avoid Dynamerican at ALL costs! This experience has been terrible at every level, and I haven't even gotten to a point where I've been able to receive my estimate!
At first, I was present when my mother used their services. The technician was smart, experienced, polite, and thorough. He must be their only good personnel.
Based on this experience, I called them to schedule an estimate and get the ball rolling on services to fix a few issues I've had.
Firstly, the initial phone call to schedule the estimate was unremarkable. Nothing good, nothing bad.
Unfortunately, I was not able to keep that appointment due to unforeseen professional responsibilities.
I waited a week or two to ensure I had the time and flexibility to meet them for the estimate before I rescheduled.
The new window was between 10am and Noon. I was there early after blocking off three hours on my work-calendar. I called to make sure the appointment was still on, and I was told that it was. Noon rolls around, and nothing. No call from the technician, no call from their call center, no arrival, no estimate, no communication. I called their call center again and was assured the technician would be arriving at my location "next" and that the current job was running over schedule. They did not have an ETA.
30 minutes ticked by. Then an hour.
I called again where I received the same answer. They informed me that I had already canceled one appointment and called to reschedule, as if indicating that I owed them something or I was somehow a problem for them. I expressed that my canceling and rescheduling has NOTHING to do with this terrible time keeping and lack of courteous, professional communication. It was then the woman on the other end explained to me that she was just trying to ask me to be patient. I don't care what services are being provided, that is NOT how you ask someone to be patient.
Another hour passed, still nothing. I called again. I received the same report as the first two previous attempts. I explained that I have been waiting for two additional hours and need to return to work. I have received no update to the schedule, no notification of the lack of ETA due to other extended service issues, nothing at all that would allow me to feel confident that waiting was not a waste of my time. I explained that I will be calling back every hour until I get an ETA.
Another hour passed, and I called back to the same update, and by now you could tell that their customer service representative (it was the same woman, Tiffany, every time) was really starting to resent me. Instead of sympathizing with my frustrations, she expressed that I was somehow an undue burden in her tone and choice of words. This was becoming an aggravating routine.
Finally, more than three hours later, the plumber finally called. And 20 minutes later, he arrived.
He was nice enough, though he didn't seem to be very focused on the task at hand. He took a brief look, engaged me in topical conversation, but didn't seem very interested or concerned. He took down my email address and left about 15 minutes after he arrived. He's a professional, so I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt. That's not how I would approach a tenuous situation where the customer had been left waiting and in the dark for several hours, but I wasn't about to hold him responsible for the terrible service I received from their call center personnel. He told me I would receive the invoice in my inbox later that day.
That was 13 days ago.
I called to ask about the invoice 3-4 times in the past two weeks, at first to make sure they had the right email address. Then just to see if they even remembered to do their job.
This morning I called to inform them that I need that invoice by 5pm today. Tiffany (again) asked me if I do not receive the invoice by 5pm today, should we just forget about it altogether?
"That's correct." I said.
"Have a good day, then." She replied, and hung up.
Immediately after this call, I made the choice not to wait for yet another failure on their part, and contacted a competitor in their area and was immediately treated like a valued customer.
Dynamerican will NEVER be considered for their services again. If this review serves to help others avoid such a terrible experience, so much the better. read more
