I've given Hudson Heating way too many chances. They overcharge for everything, and one person has…read moreno idea what the last person did. The final straw came when I scheduled maintenance over a month out. I called before that appointment because my unit was blowing cold. The person who answered the phone (with a "Hello" so that I had to ask if I even had the right number) said they would have someone call me and get someone out that day. They never called, so I called back and was told the tech was out sick and that I should call another company. I decided to wait it out for my scheduled service call. The day came and I hadn't heard anything so I called to reconfirm and was told that once again the tech was out sick and no one could come. The only reason I wasn't left waiting all day was because I called. They said someone would call to reschedule in about an hour. No one ever called. This company is a joke.

I would never have hired them if I was involved just by reading the reviews on them in any forum whether it be Yelp or Google, etc. They started our job in October 2023. As of June 2024 it is still not completed! They keep giving excuse after excuse. One of the ongoing excuses is they need the weather to be 55 or higher without rain, thunder & lightening. I have emails and texts regarding this as well as conversations. You go back and research the weather in Hudson on most of those days and you'll see they had plenty of time to get it done sooner. My suspicion is they get you in a position of needing them to "just finish the job already" while they leave you hanging and they go money grab elsewhere. It's a horrible way of doing business. I would never hire them nor would I ever recommend them. All of these reviews are seriously honest reviews and you should heed the warning. My HOA board and property management company really failed on hiring this company. The service is below subpar, the value definitely isn't worth it, and I'm praying the quality is above average and we have no issues.

The aftermath was our AC unit was knocked out of phase and just sounded terrible! We called DeAngelis as we were unaware of the power problems and they were amazing sending out very professional and courteous techs to investigate. They said they would 'stay' until we figure this out even though, as I said, the issue actually was power/grid related. The front office staff (Angela) responded immediately and was beyond cordial. The owner (Chris) also called to try to help fix an issue which turned out to be nothing to do with the unit after all. But what a mess for 3 days..... we were all stumped. This is the type of company you want to do business with. They stick with you and want nothing more than to fix the issue. And they never even charged us for two visits. I can't say enough about them and their customer service - an art that is lost on so many contractors these days! Use them. You won't regret it.

When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

I don't think I can say enough positive about this firm or it's owner. My whole house air conditioner's compressor died. He said he could replace the compressor, but this is the last year parts would be available for this unit, ( it's gotta be 25 years old.). It would cost about half of what a new unit would cost, and any future repairs would likely not be possible. We went with the new unit. The next day my house and yard were swarming with HVAC guys. One team replacing the unit outside, the other in the attic removing the old coil, evaporator pan, etc. and replacing them with new. There were, at various times during the day, two company trucks and three private cars parked in our drive, all engaged in the job. Finished in one day, a technician dropped by the next day to check out how things looked in the attic, ( I found out later it had to do with the drainage of the pan and such.) Unfortunately as we had just experienced a huge rare August cool-down, we hadn't turned on the air as of the time of checkup. The next day the heat returned the air went on and all was well until my wife went through the room below the newly replaced coil and pan, and the ceiling was dripping water and sloughing the plaster topcoat from the ceiling. The evaporator pan was not draining properly. Despite the fact that it was about 8:20PM, the contractor raced over, rigged a temporary fix to drain the water outside, and said he would take care of the cost of the repairs. The drywall guys are scheduled to come Monday. So this contractor knew enough to do a drainage check the day after the install, but as luck would have it, the check took place before the problem could have appeared, due to our not having turned on the air, and rather than trying to turn the "finger of blame" towards me for whatever reason, he was appreciative that I wasn't yelling and screaming about the damage, and just said he'd cover the expense. Kudos to him and his upbringing for being honest, forthright and acting with integrity regarding the entire affair. He's definitely my "go to" guy!
