Crown told me I needed a new Condenser coil. I felt their price was high and I wanted to get a couple other quotes, but hey, it's August and it's like 90 degrees, so I had them do the job. They made me pay half upfront for the part -~$1600, even though the part was $1200. After completion I asked for a breakdown of the cost in terms of parts and labor. The techs made some lame excuse as to why they couldn't do that. I called their office several times, they hung up on me twice, and never called me back. Also, I meant to tell the techs I wanted the old coil but forgot. So in my discussion about the bill, I asked for the old coil back since it has copper scrap value, they in essence refused, so they basically stole the part from me, as they never asked me if they could take it. Do yourself a favor, go with a smaller, local independently owned contractor. Ask for an itemization of the cost and keep in mind that some parts of an AC unit have scrap value.

I called him out to my home to get a quote for a new furnace and ac unit. He was on time, polite, and genuine. He took a genuine interest in our life and our needs (became obvious on his next visit 5mths later when he came to upkeep our old unit we almost replaced. He asked for updates on life events we shared on his last visit ) He looked at our set up and was very reassuring as we had more life out of our furnace! He didn't scare us into a sale, he only sold us on himself, his work, and his price ($1k+ cheaper than his competitors) Overall, I recommend East End and Bobby very highly. It's hard to find someone who is honest AND provides exceptional work. Your search stops with East End.
