Since 2021, we have worked with them for regular maintenance, service calls, questions about balancing chemicals, purchasing supplies and more. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient and accommodating. They offer a free service for you to bring in a sample of your hot tub water and they analyze it in the store and tell you exactly what chemicals to add. That was immensely helpful when I was getting the hang of the new hot tub. I highly recommend this business. They stand by their product and provide support to the customer for years.

After several years of use, I inquired about having the tub drained as I was then not using. I was discouraged from doing that and was told that it didn't cost that much in electricity to keep it running, so I followed that advice. I just had the hot tub hauled away as both the controller pad and manual jet controller broke and the cost to replace/fix was too expensive. I received my electric bill after the hot tub removal and my electricity usage dropped substantially. The cost of the chemicals to maintain, replacement of the hot tub cover, electricity to run and eventual removal of the hot tub were all expenses that could have been avoided had the tub been drained and left for future use. Sharing this experience to save others from falling into this pitfall.

A completely unopened box, still sealed. Interestingly enough it's not listed on the receipt, or on the company website, no where. The receipt says that they will accept any returns within 30 days with a receipt. The guy told me there's a sign by the register and that he doesn't need to put it on his receipts. I think the receipt should list all of their terms/policies, not a "sign" that they can take up or put away as they please. Never again! Advice/ make sure they sell you the right product or you will be out $$.

When the installer finally did get through to me, he gave me the excuse "That the rain put him back 11 days" We got rain on a Saturday before install day prior to that, We didn't have rain for 25 days. How can one day of rain put you back 11 days and still no help from the store or the sales guy. They did eventually set me up with a different installer who was fantastic. He was there when he said would be he got the job done. He was courteous and kind. His guys were great, but this poor soul is based two counties away and had to pick up the slack for a horrific jerk. I haven't done business with them since and I certainly won't in the future. I don't need to. I can get chemicals on Amazon much cheaper whatever you do don't subscribe to the scam that is frog leap if you purchase it then utilize one cartridge and cut a hole in it and add your own chlorine to it. The reason I am posting this review two years after my install is because this company has done the exact same thing to my brother-in-law who I hope takes the time to leave A proper review. Their better business has been REVOKED and had an "F"!!!! Ohio Swims / American Construction has ongoing lawsuits from multiple customers. They are professionals at being sued and experts of deceit. Do NOT trust Bill Foster in anything he says. In our experience he is truly a CONMAN and running a fraudulent business. Do not trust Erika either. She will tell you what you want to hear. We do not understand how he is still in business based on the ongoing lawsuits and issues. He talks a good talk but please do not believe him. We were also fooled and paid the price. Our pool has taken over two years to be done and was never fully finished. It was to be six months. It was a nightmare beyond our wildest dreams of how bad it could be. We were forced to call a thousand times and beg for a response and action. We would be ignored for days, weeks and months. We consider ourselves lucky to have done what was done and believe it was due to the persistent ongoing follow up from my husband. At times we gave up due to getting so tired of the game. We would get extra charges for nonsense. The charges would be sent out of the blue. Pay close attention to the quote and contract because as time goes on you realize a lot of the contract charges are bogus. For example, we paid for salt water system but they never installed it. We never had a project manager. Maybe a year in we got one but he didn't last. We then got another. And then another. And then another. Explaining and providing clear details of open items and any issues. They all quickly learned and left because of the incredible lack of ethics of Bill Foster and company. We have a long list of the issues. Our grout and plaster is terrible. Holes and gaps all over. Coping had no grout at all. The placement of the equipment is ridiculous. Our pool continues to leak. We have unfinished items and safety concerns. This is only a snippet. Do you want a hole to be dug and then wait over a year for action to be taken? Do you want your backyard to be a hazard and when your pool is going to be built, have the guys put it in the wrong place? Do you want them to re-dig everything as they forgot to put in water lines? Do you want them to have to re-dig up the gas lines as it was down wrong? Do you want a company who doesn't have their employees use an accurate drawing? Then, when you try to get a true copy, you get charged an extra $1500? Do you want workers to show up with the wrong color plaster - completely wrong - and thank goodness you are there to catch it? Do you want to have to be home to oversee and make sure things do not get done wrong? We were forced to take time off work and be home on multiple occasions due to the ongoing errors every time they would show up. Constant and excessive hand holding. IF the pool would have been done great and perfect and we waited for over 2 years with no communication and direction and lived a nightmare, then that's one thing. At least we would have this. However this was NOT the case and we are afraid of not only the visual issues but what about the issues we cannot see? We live in the same area as the pool company within 20 minutes. I can't imagine if you are of distance. Good luck. Also, nobody will fix it if they hear Bill Foster is connected. He has a reputation. Ask around. PLEASE BELIEVE THIS and other bad reviews. Our family does not want the same thing to happen to other families. Your hard earned money should not be stolen from this company. With the Better Business revoked this year this alone should alert there is a major issue with this company. If only it would be revoked before we signed and made the worse decision of our life by trusting Bill Foster and his company.
