Someone got into my Spectrum account and ported my landline phone number to Tracfone. Tracfone wants Spectrum to send an email confirming my "seniority" of the phone number before they can get the phone number back to me. Spectrum refuses to do that. They gave me a new number and I am trying to cancel my landline, but they say I have to keep service until the end of the month and pay for it because "it is in their terms and conditions". I have spent HOURS on the phone with them trying to get this straightened out and they are sorry, but they can't do anything to help me. No partial credit, no free month of internet, nothing. I guess this should be all I lost in the theft of my identity. But that they can't do anything because it was ported out following the "proper procedures" (even if I have a police report) is beyond irritating. Grrrr. I suppose it's just as well I can't get the number back since it is now connected to someone else. read more

They told me 6 months ago that I could get a free iPad. Just pay the $10 connection fee connection fee a month. Ended up they just sent me to the collection agency for over $500 for this free tablet. I have great credit and now they can ruin that! I would not recommend any freebies that they offer us because they are not free! If I didn't enjoy my television shows that I can DVR I would cancel spectrum all together! read more

Terrible internet service in the Cortland area and bill kept going up n up. Finally went with T Mobile (much better service n price). The kicker is Spectrum still bills you for full month service even if you cancel beginning of new billing cycle. We will NEVER use spectrum again. Just love how the guy on phone wants us to switch to their mobile cell phone service. Nope ain't happening. All Spectrum ever did was provide crappy service and increased prices! read more

What do I have to do to get an internet service that does not keep going in and out???!!! I'M paying 74.00 a month and the frustration of not getting on this is horrible Spectrum internet is THE WORST I have ever experienced. Every day, Every single day my internet goes out at least 3-4 times, I pay $74.00 a month for crappy internet. I wish there was an alternative in my area, but there is not. With all the technology today you would think I could get decent internet. What a joke this service is. Not reliable. Internet service is always spotty. Excuse is always the hardware. I have to get it replaced monthly.

Without my permission they signed me up for a tv package that was never even talked about, and spectrum is terrible to deal with you'd be better off starting your own internet providing service than going here read more

I'm a customer that lives in Champion Ohio and over the month of July have endured several outages losing my TV, Internet, and phone. At one point there was an outage three days in a row. We have been losing service on a weekly basis and so have all my neighbors. Yesterday Sunday 7/28 2019 we lost service twice in one day. It's one thing if there are storms that would explain this but each time the weather was good! This is not our equipment our whole area has been experiencing these outages and like myself my neighbor's find this unacceptable. There's never an explanation from Spectrum of the cause or what's being done to stop it. I'm tired of paying for a service that I'm not getting and am considering with holding my payments if this continues. read more

We pay 80 bucks a month for internet. Every single week I had to reset the modem, because "it was old equipment". They recently sent us a new modem and box. I have reset it twice yesterday , and so far today 4 times . Four times I was in the middle of watching something on hulu, and it stopped playing and connecting to the wifi. This equipment is supposed to be the newest and best. I have said it since the day we got spectrum, the prices are bogus for what you actually get, the service sucks, and when you do talk to someone they don't know. read more

I am having a terrible time changing from DirecTV to Spectrum. I am so sorry that I did it. I recently changed to Spectrum and was quoted a price to change. After the installation my bill came the next day and it was $65 more than I was quoted TWICE that it would be.... I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's office and I am still waiting for my bill to come down to what I was quoted. I am so sorry I changed from DirecTV... I will continue with updates on my progress of Spectrum giving me the price that I was told I would get. read more

I am having problems with Spectrum again. My DVR box went kaput and I had no pictures so they replaced it with the very first DVR box that was made. You could not even turn the television and record at the same time. So I had them give me the box that they replaced. And they wanted to charge me $50 so I had to file a complaint. They acted like they were fixing the complaint and redid all the wires however the next bill I was still charged for the inferior DVR box. So now I have to go back and refile my complaint because I thought they had corrected them. They charged me $50 to bring me an old box. Not going to happen. I will be filing new complaints next week. Beware of spectral I think I'm done with them. read more

I am disappointed in Spectrum. They lost Fox8 in Cleveland. They took away channels, gave us less service and did not reduce the rates. I will be looking for alternate services. Fox8 Cleveland was our prime channel. read more

am paying 74 a month. Im not getting the speed Im paying for via internet. I called customer service after waiting for a very long time , I was passed on to someone else. Im also paying for Basic channels, most of which are infomercials. I wanted to cancel my cable and get what Im paying for internet wise but the guy I was speaking with kept trying to upgrade and sell me. He put me on hold numerous times in the end I gave up with him. I wanted better service for a better price. Because of huge lack of Customer Service I am taking my business elsewhere. I also have red floating spots on my TV screan from the cable service Im getting. I went to chat with customer service on this site but the que was at 65! I worked for TWC, Im well aware that you guys have to pitch 3x but more importantly you have to listen to the customer. Why I wasnt I put thru to retention is beyond me. I had no idea that TWC whad such horrible service and customer care wise... wow! I worked my tail off to keep people happy and listen to there needs. I know the job sucks but people just want to feel that someone cares even if you have to fake it. Pitching and putting me on hold was like communicating to the wall. I know they tape record conversations and that your graded on hitting these selling points but if I was in Customer Care there I would have NEVER lost me as a customer. read more

I've been enjoying my service. Hated the previous owner but SPECTRUM seemed to be doing much better. Until lately. My account was past due and disconnected for $51.68 on 11/20/17. I called today to pay it 12/4/17 and am told my account was marked "Former Account" and cannot be restored. I ask how and they tell me they are not sure all while trying to get me to sign up for a new service account. I refuse and demand a simple re-connect and they tell me that the service I had which was Internet only, is no longer available. SMH. Y'all didn't disconnect for non-payment, you disconnected to get me to sign up for more expensive service! I wish I'd never answered my door to the folks coming door-to-door. I am truly disappointed. Will be handing in my equipment TODAY!!!! I wish I could give you less than 1 star, I will be informing all of my social media friends about the shady biz you all are running over there. read more
