I accidentally cut the telephone cable while changing the tile in my house. I thought the easiest thing was to get telephone with Comcast since I get internet and TV cable through them. What a disaster!!!! They told me they would be here between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM and it is 3:20 and they have not arrived. After calling Comcast three times and having them tell me that the dispatcher would call soon, they finally called to tell me that the best they could do would be 4:00 PM. I received my second bill and did not receive the credits from the errors on the first bill. In addition, my second month had a higher cost for my package. They also charged my credit card 8 days prior to the bill due date. I used the direct telephone customer service and this was much better than the online chat. The person was very helpful and did get the changes done. Third bill is finally correct. My advice is to check your monthly bill and use the telephone customer service to get it resolved. read more

My Xfinity modem was damaged by lightning strike near our house. I called the customer service number and they said they were going to overnight a modem to me. After two days I called to check on the status of the delivery and was told that it had not shipped out yet. The representative suggested I go directly to the store in my area and exchange the modem. I did and the experience was quite good. Only waited about five minutes and walked out with a new modem. read more

SCAM. LIES. THIEVES. I have had Comcast for a while and hadn't had any issues. I had unlimited internet yet was charged $200 for going over my limit? I called in the day after I was charged my AUTOMATIC payment and was told it was their error, the problem will be fixed, I will be refunded $200 bc I have good payment history, I received a reference number, etc. I waited the 48 hrs they told me to wait for my $200 and nothing, called again, the agent had not idea what I was talking ab and my reference number does not exist. Ok cool solved the problem again received a new reference number. Waited again, nothing yet, called again. Once again lol sorry idk what's going on here's a new TICKET number. I decided to just let them have their time to do whatever they had to do. Next month I get a bill with no credit. I call back "I'm sorry ma'am there's no such thing as a "ticket number or reference number" With our company" .... so not only was I told 3 times I would be credited my $200 but, as per current rep, Our company does not have ticket/reference numbers and the prev rep lied to you so there's nothing I can do. Also to cancel your account you have to pay $50. Not only was I robbed $200 while having an "unlimited" account, but I also have to pay to disconnect from their shit company otherwise They will ruin my credit. Comcast cannot find the cable, This happened on a Tuesday, they said they would come back to fix it. I moved to snapper village last year and received Comcast through my HOA fee. I have never had so many problems with connectivity as I have with this company. Comcast internet has cut out on me around 3-6 times a week. This is not acceptable service as I do school for university online, and it has regularly interrupted my work. Each time I call it takes around 30 minutes to resolve the problem. Would not recommend, I have even decided to bite the bullet and pay for AT&T internet out of pocket while still having to pay the HOA fee associated with Comcast. They also had a technician come to my house only to cut a hole in my wall in the wrong spot and did nothing to fix the damages. read more

HORRIBLE!!! OMG!! One of the most horrible places I've ever visited! Was going to come after work but since I had somewhere to be, decided to come during my lunch time. Wasted my entire hour there! Where to begin...? They have a security guard directing people to different "lines". There's actually one line and another, non-existent, line for those who want to pay their bills. The problem is there are 3 cashiers (at least yesterday there was) and one of them only takes those who have to pay for their bills. When there are no bill payers left then she assists with equipment problems. So, I get there, see that the line is getting longer and longer and it doesn't move. That's because one cashier decided to take her lunch at this time and there are only two left. One of the cashiers who handles equipment issues was busy with a customer. The other was handling payments. WTF? Not only that but the cashier has to process the payments, it's not like these people just drop it off in an envelope. Another thing, the payment line crosses with the equipment line so that people are constantly bumping into each other. AND to top it off, the cashiers have nasty attitudes!! NIGHTMARE!!! This is enough to make you want to switch from Comcast to some other internet/cable provider! The only reason why we don't (the bf and I) is because we've tried Direct TV and that was a nightmare too and more expensive. Hopefully, our equipment doesn't break down again so that I won't have to visit this wretched place. But if it does, I'll go to one of the other locations! read more

I had to go in to cancel and return some equipment because unfortunately the new complex I live in is contracted by AT&T. I hate AT&T cable service . Small office located in a strip mall. Been here a few times to return my cable box or exchange my remote control. Depending the time and day you come there is usually parking close to the office. The lines are short during the weekdays before lunch. If you plan to come on lunch time I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a hour to give up waiting on line. Also if you plan to come on a Saturday come when they open cause the lines are crazy as the day goes by. When I get to the agent I have had no issues with them. read more

Due to elderly parents, I had to maintain their current cable as they use Comcast. After I went online and requested service under my name for a month out, my parents received an email stating that their current plan was being disconnected the next morning. My connection was not until a month out though. I waited over 1.5 hours on the phone to get a human voice. After so many apologizes... my parents service was reinstated. At that time, I requested my service cancel as at that time , I decided to maintain my current provider and just move my service. At the time of booking with Comcast, I had to pay 50.00 which I paid. Comcast refuses to issue my refund and states I have to wait 30 days and then receive a hard check. I told them I had paid with a debit and after again so many apologies..... I did not receive my 50.00. I never ever received any equipment nor service as I cancel my new service hours after applying for new service. I have been an Xfinity customer way before they were Xfinity. From my experience with them they are an OK company, but I can tell they are doing better. I had an issue so I changed all my service and yes they roped me into another contract. But I have to admit I'm getting all my services about $70 cheaper so I would say 50/50 them/me. But I had to change some boxes and I had an appointment scheduled at this store address. I had come here many years ago and it was a nightmare with customer service and attitude. So I was extremely hesitant in coming here, so I was apprehensive about coming. I have to admit and stand corrected. I literally walked in and Iris a very attentive customer service Aassociate took care of me. She was not only very helpful, took the time to answer all my questions and exchanged all boxes faster then it took me to park and come inside, and the parking was empty. I have to say this experience was more then expected and pleasant. I would say they really are here to help and if you do go I hope you have the pleasure of speaking with Iris or Victor. They were there to assist and go above what they would have to to assist me. GREAT JOB XFINITY in bringing in a staff member like Iris and Victor. read more

I went in for something pretty simple, I just wanted to switch out my router for the better one. If you go to this place early it won't be that busy. I think the horrible stories this place has makes people not go here so in which case it's not that busy. When I tried to switch out the router for the better one, they didn't really know what I was talking about, they thought I already had the latest one, but I was able to prove to them I didn't. Luckily, this is free so listen. If you have an 802.11n router and you want to get the 802.11ac router, it won't cost any money. Just bring your old router and they will give you the better one. Then, just plug it in and activate it and you're good. read more

I went to this location to return my equipment. After 2 months of the worlds worse service and several technicians coming to my house to attempt to fix the problem and no success what so ever we decided to disconnect the service even if it meant paying the fee of breaking a contract. But that's a whole different story. I went to this location to return the equipment. My daughter saw a cool iPhone cover for sale and wanted to buy it for her mom. I thought it was a great idea. A 4 year old gets easily excited for simple stuff like this situation here. At the time to pay the supposable "sales consultant" JAVIER , who was training a young lady asked me for my name and phone number which I gave. He proceeded to ask me for my address which I refused. Due to my refusal he did not want to sell me the case. It absolutely did not make sense. Xfinity could potentially be a great company but it is people like Javier who create a negative reputation. A simple action as such puts a bad taste in any persons mouth which in turn causes that person to never go back and of course spread the word to family and friends. This review isn't about the specific store - it's about Comcast's Customer Service in general...which is THE WORST!! If we don't get a call back by 5pm EST today, we are cancelling our subscription with them. My husband has been on the phone for THREE hours trying to resolve an issue with our bill (which is: for the second time in a row, our automatic charge did not occur and we're being penalized for it)! He has called, been put on hold, and then the call drops EVERY TIME and NO ONE calls you back. He has been put on hold for the following amount of times before the call drops: 1) 27 minutes 2) 30 minutes 3) 10 minutes 4) 8 minutes 5) 30 minutes 6) 30 minutes 7) 5 minutes 8) 20 minutes 9) 5 minutes EVERY TIME THE CALL IS DROPPED. And the few times he does talk to a representative, no one's transfer feature seems to be working on their phone when we ask to talk to a supervisor. Convenient. AND while we're on the phone, our bill went up $200! How does that happen?! Comcast is the worst. Never get a contract with them. FYI - I have to click one star in order to post this review on Yelp. This place is a nightmare! Don't expect to be seen right away; I had to sit on the floor for 2 HOURS before someone was available. There's never enough seating and this is an ongoing issue. It's like they ignore the obvious issues with this place. Some reps are nice and others are the devil. I had a rep give me the wrong cable box 3 TIMES!!! It was only until a tech came out to my house that he told me that my service area required a different cable box model and was surprised that the service center could catch that. I'm really annoyed by this place. Also, after having to go back to get my service fixed and box changed, I looked up the time they open and arrived 15 mins early thinking I'd be one of the first they'd help only to find out I was actually 15 mins late; the service center opens up earlier than the time posted on the door!? Comcast has the WORST customer service I have ever come across. If you have a business line with them watch out for their self reneweing contracts, not only do they have aggressive termination fees but are very misleading; if you can consult an attorney before signing a cancellation form. They are great at selling you the services but do not deliver good customer service and like to deceive their customers. Long lines and forget calling them for an issue you will be placed on hold for a long time. I would give them o stars if I had the option to. read more

I usually find people who give the lowest possible score to a company to be annoying and suspicious ... probably just competition trying to steal customers away from a business. But the fact is that I'm giving Comcast 1 star only because there's no way to give it zero stars. They have been a total nightmare. We've been trying to get our cable/internet/phone service since March, and FIVE MONTHS LATER, they STILL haven't done a single thing right, and we STILL don't have service to the cottage in the back. They even accidentally changed our phone number, which we have had for almost 20 years, and they couldn't correct the error for almost 3 weeks. It's a lucky thing we were able to get our number back and it wasn't assigned to someone else. The problems we've had with them are so numerous that I really can't get into all of it. It's been practically a part-time job dealing with them. Orders not placed when they were supposed to, orders placed and then mysteriously cancelled by their system, appointments missed over and over again, equipment not being sent, techs coming out and not doing the work they were supposed to for one reason or another, conflicting messages being given by different agents ... the list goes on and on and on and on and on ... you get the idea. The only reason we've even bothered continuing to try to make this happen is because our internet connection with AT&T was so slow that it very often had trouble loading a standard, no-frills web page. The service with Comcast isn't lightning fast or anything like that (even though we have the fastest service they provide), but it is what you expect from an ISP. If we had any other realistic options available, though, I can tell you for a fact that we would NOT willingly give Comcast our business. So, after 5 MONTHS of working with these idiots on a weekly basis, here's my advice to you on the best way to handle things: (1) WORK ONLY VIA CHAT ... because, with this company, one agent will tell you one thing and another agent will tell you the exact opposite, and they don't seem to keep any records of what you've called in about or what they've said or promised to their customers. Even confirmation #s don't mean anything. I've called in to ask about a standing order and given a confirmation #, and they've claimed not to have it in their system. This may be because they are using at least 2 different systems (I was recently trying to get stuff done via a chat window and the agent I was chatting with couldn't find me on the system as an authorized person on the account. Despite the fact that I'm the only fluent English speaker in my household and I'm the one who had been handling ALL account matters for the months we've been trying to get this mess straightened out. With the chat window open, I CALLED in and talked to another agent, Joe, who said yes absolutely, I was right there on the first screen. When I relayed this information to the guy I was chatting with, the chat agent kept giving me the run around. Joe asked me to ask him which system he was using, and the chat agent responded that he couldn't tell me about the technology the company uses. He also couldn't give me his agent ID number, he insisted, even though Joe gave me his with no problem whatsoever), but this really shouldn't be the customer's problem, should it??? Their chat software lets you print a transcript of the chat for your records. The transcript shows the chat session ID #. In theory, someone somewhere in corporate should be able to pull up a record of the chat by the ID number, but really, I don't trust a single thing that comes from this company, so I also PDF the chats and keep them. I imagine that a class-action law suit is not far off, and I want to have documentation of the insanity this company has put me through. (2) Be really polite and ask as if there's nothing wrong ... BUT GET THE AGENT'S OPERATOR ID UPFRONT. If they're not willing to give it to you before there's anything wrong, they're certainly not going to give it to you after. Their agents seem to be trained differently, and some will give it to you and others won't (you really have to wonder about a company that would train their agents to NOT give out their agent ID number). If you ask upfront, you won't waste your time on a call that you won't be able to document later. If they don't give you their ID, "hang up" and try again until you get an agent that does. (3) DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. I'd like to figure out a way to record my calls for those occasions where I have to call in, but at the very least I record date/time of calls, name of whom I spoke to, and what we talked about. I try to get agent IDs and confirmation #s for EVERYTHING, and if I didn't get a confirmation #, I assume nothing is going to happen, since it doesn't always happen even when I *DO* have them. And best of luck to you. You're going to need it if you have no choice but to go with Comcast. Trust me. read more
