We have been loyal Xfinity customers for 24 years. Time to find another internet/tv provider. The internet service sucks and goes down all the time. My spouse and I both work from home so this is a huge inconvenience and risks us both losing our jobs since we can't work without internet. When we call Xfinity to complain, their customer service and technicians are very slow to respond. We are rarely ever given a bill credit for the time we are without service, so we are being charged for a service we are not receiving at those times. They continually raise our prices and charge us for dumb things like equipment fees for boxes that we must have to use the cable service. Those fees should be included in our exorbitant monthly cable bill. We called to complain recently and were told that they would upgrade our service and lower our bill, but when we called back today they said they could do nothing for us. Clearly this company cares nothing about customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, or service recovery, or customer retention. We have a $35 monthly internet box from T-Mobile that we purchased recently to use for back up internet when Xfinity goes down. Works great, is as fast as Xfinity, and never goes down. Don't waste your money on Xfinity. In their case you DO NOT get what you pay for! Time to leave and find better service and products somewhere where they care about their customers. read more

Xfinity doesn't tell you that their streaming app along with the NOW TV that they charge extra for is not compatible with many TV's so it left me with a service that I could not use on my Samsung TV. So disappointing. A big new TV in my living room that I can't watch Hallmark on or any of the other multitudes of available channels. I think they should be clear about this issue, or, oh wait...make their Xfinity streaming app compatible with ALL TV's ! read more

My friend, Dana, and I drove 80 miles to determine whether to upgrade my existing Xfinity Mobile service and to possibly purchase a new cell phone. Absolutely ALL of the customer service representatives (CSRs) were extremely knowledgeable, courteous and very gregarious! It is rare in today's era to find so many employees owning these characteristics in one place. Although I never write reviews, I felt this was important to let others know of our experience with this particular Xfinity store, on W. Washington St. in E. Peoria, IL. I highly recommend doing business with them! Those very accommodating CSRs were: Tyler Saldana, Justin May and Melissa Myers. I received an ad saying they were offering a $25 plan for senior citizens. I went and talked to Tiffany and asked her if it was true and she said yes and you get a free phone! I asked her three times if the phone was really free and she told me yes all three times. I didn't need a new phone, but I agreed to it since it was free. After the first month of service for $25, it kept going up every month. I went back to East Peoria three times and asked why it was no longer $25 month like I agreed to. I was given a different answer every time. Then I receive a bill for over $200 for the 'free' phone. I went to the N Sterling location and spoke to a male manager. He told me he showed no record of a free phone on my account. I told him the history with Tiffany when I signed up and why my service went up from $25 when I signed on. He said the senior citizen program had been discontinued! I told him I only had it one month and the phone was supposed to be free. He just shrugged! I went hope, reset the phone and took it out to him and told him I wasn't paying over $200 for what I was told was a free phone. I made the mistake of not getting a receipt because I was very mad. Last month I get a demand letter from a collection company and I ignored it. Today I received another one so I called them. Credence Resource Management! All of them speak Spanish! Yikes! It's America! The young lady, Gabria tells me they did the investigation with Xfinity and they have advised they will be putting the default on my credit report. This is nonsense. So, my suggestion is to stear clear of Xfinity. This is not the first time I have dealt with these liars and crooks! They lie and then they have no record of anything but what they document on their end! BEWARE!!!!!! They need to be forced out of America, especially when they are low life and attack senior citizens who have limited income! I would have turned down the free phone if I had been to told the truth! I have learned to go to the xfinity store if I have a question about billing because their app is useless. Today I visited that store, had a 35 or 40 minute wait to talk to someone. A young service man seemed to check in around 11:30. The store was packed with customers with only 3 service people working when the additional young man came to work. He called my name. I asked why my bill had increased from $117/mo to $154/ mo? He said my promotion ran out. He was completely expressionless..never a hello or "how can I help"! I asked that he reverse the cost, as they had last year. He would not. He gave me one option, a bill of $147/mo..no expression, not even a trace of a smile. Such rude service. Next time I'll ask for his superior. Poor service, indeed! I walked away, greatly disappointed!! read more

XFINITY MOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS!! This review is for the 800 line and the Xfinity dispute department. My daughters boyfriend wanted Xfinity mobile but didn't have an xfinity account. He signed up under my daughters great Aunt. He needed help paying his October 2019 phone bill. While I sat near by he called and made a one time payment using my Sears MC. The representative said they do not keep card numbers and it would "erase" after this one time charge. Well that is NOT what happened. For two more months Xfinity charged my card again. When I caught it and called Xfinity, TWICE, both times the phone rep told me they do not have a way to refund me. Asked me if I could get the money back from the owner of the phone line. SAY WHAT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW? So I had to call my credit card company to report the dispute and spent 1/2 hr on the phone with them, they mailed me papers for dispute details, which I filled out and sent back a few weeks ago. Now my credit card has sent me more papers asking for the date the account was canceled. Wow. It was never activated. What a PAIN having to jump through hoops to remove $256.80 worth of charges I didn't make for a phone I don't own. IDIOTS. read more

Worst service around and they claim to save you money. Run from this. Xfinity uses gigabytes like it's water. Knew I did not like it week one. Took my brother into the store and the manager laughed at him and me. I am a senior and my brother is disabled and that was uncalled for. Today I received a collection notice after returning the iPhone 12 in the pkg sent by xfinity. I did report the terrible customer service but no one contacted me or did anything. This is not aimed at the store or the service but the drivers. I own a small business in peoria and every day at 12 it seems a new driver is illegally parked in my parking lot in front of my business eating their lunch. I have asked them to stop but it keeps happening. I am a small business owner and to have a companies workers do this during these hard times is unacceptable. I have the drivers vehicle number. I have never had a good experience dealing with Comcast on the phone, so I decided to visit this location for my problem. Virgil was the gentleman that helped me and he went above and beyond to solve my problem. I was there for about an hour, but I didn't mind at all because the transaction was not awkward as they sometimes can be because Virgil kept the conversation going. I'm giving this visit 5 stars for Virgil, Comcast still needs work though. read more

This service is horrid, but it's a monopoly in the area, so you don't get a choice. If you want to be extremely frustrated, get internet through Comcast Xfinity. Moved to a new house that had internet when they moved out, was told to bring my equipment when I moved. No internet at the new place. Live chat told me I had the wrong equipment, the Xfinity store told me live chat was wrong, and the transfer order wasn't complete. Still no internet at my house and I'm back to square 1. Comcast 8s now charging $100 for a technician to come out. I'm certain this is just a scam for an extra $100. And they are still charging me for the week I will be without internet waiting on a technician due to so many people having service problems and all techs are busy for the next few days from open to close. read more

I just had my service shut off without any warning. You said I didn't pay my bill the prior month. I did pay my bill, however I checked with my bank and the check was not cashed. I went down to the EP store and the guy in front of me was also complaining about his service being shut off also. He also paid his bill, the guy working said there is a problem in Pennsylvania with the mail. So, I guess the problem is the Post Office or Xfinity people. My toilet treats me with more respect,first off over charging,wont look at bank statments,wont let anyone but xfinity investigate,laughs at you,connects you to a line that is made to hang up,lies about wht you say,trust me when i say i recorded the phone calls because you offered me a copy then ignore me when i say 24 times in a row whres my recordings you offered are,the squelch my signal constantly,charging forr 911,wont let you call 911when they interuppt services,wont take tv packages off we never ordered,our bill for 4 mbps,smallest tv package and phone is 450 somenting amonth 2 payements and 2 intteruptions,only take total past due to reactivate with reactivation fee,we started servies in oct2021,and you state we hsve not made a payement in 12 months,then since decemeber 2021,thein since janurary 2022 we only missed march, paid april and may,but yet you told us we missed 3 payement okay thats fine but how was our bill 1280.00 mimum due is 786,after we told you our rent is 786, when the night before our bill showed 436 was due on the 29th,okay we paid 238 on the 28th asked if we could keep it on until the 3rd we dont get paid until the 3rd they said okay took the payement then shut us off at 4 am like i said i recorded calls and have bank statements stating we paid you,im disputing all of my transaction at my bank and showing them the email staing you never recieved a payment,and yes i have called and made a police report,fcc,ftc,and bbb,and one of the recordings i ask the indian call center rep,what does xfintiy billing always send customers to the over seas call centers that will not connect to a us rep over billing disputes he said yes,i asked so your saying because they are disagreeing with my bank and me they wont talk to me unless i make a payement and they are keeping my services off he said yes again and yes that was recorded. read more

Comcast has the worst service ever! They are ridiculously expensive and charge outrageous hidden fees. Every time I have a problem with their service, it takes a minimum of a week and hours of my time on the phone and going in store. It appears they go out of their way to get me off the phone when they don't know how to fix a problem. I recently "upgraded" my service and it has gotten even slower and worse. I do not recommend their services, unfortunately there are areas in East Peoria that do not have any other options for Internet. Can't wait til I no longer require Internet for my job! read more

This rating is for the Xfinity store itself in East Peoria. I have had Comcast for almost 20 years and have seen the prices increase dramatically even being grandfathered into plans. Actually, unlike cell phone services, the grandfathered Internet/Cable bundle is worse than what new customers receive. Finally, I had had enough of the price gouging and had little luck over the phone, with especially long wait times. I figured if I took the fight to a physical location maybe I would have more luck. The customer service was incredible here. I dealt with a customer sales representative named Andy who helped me save money and lock in better channels. Now, he did inform me that the promotional pricing was only for 18 months, but that I could return when the price started increasing and they would work with me. I know this can be a bit of a hassle, but they are the only cable company in the area and they deal with a ton of people. The interior of the store is clean, and the waiting area is trendy and comfortable. There are also two express pay kiosks that take cash and credit for bill payments. When it came to switching out equipment and getting new equipment, this store was very helpful. I don't plan on returning here until absolutely necessary but it won't be too bad when I do. read more

Comcast local office (East Peoria) customer service is awful! My elder parents went there to get there mobile phones looked at and was basically turned away! I get if they couldn't fix the iPhones at the local store however some suggestions for solutions would have been the right thing to provide. Nevertheless I reported this store. I will be going back tomorrow with my parents and the results will be different! read more

We walked in today to see about changing our cable from Dish to Comcast. Gage B. was so much help and so informative. He was also very patient with my husband and I with our questions and concerns. Gage didn't rush us through and gave us a great deal which ended up saving us money coming to Comcast. We left very pleased with the customer service and the pricing. I lived in east peoria out in the country for 3 years. So my internet options where Direct TV or Xfinity. I had Xfinity the whole time I lived there. The customer service over the phone and in store was awful the lack of knowledge was overwhelming. I went into the store and they literally told me to go into my account online and it would be more up to date as the information I needed regarding my bill wasn't in there system yet. Xfinity as a internet provider I started with there mid level package around 40mbs and then upgraded to there 150mbs and I would test my connection via ethernet cable not wireless internet to make sure it was the best possible test and it never reached over 80mbs and they would slow it down every month as low as 20mbs. They are terrible do not get there service they slow your internet down and raise prices without your knowing. They also say there wont be charges for certain things and then come bill time you get charged. read more

If I could give a negative score I would. I signed up for a triple play package, they forgot to mention it would be a two year contract and now can't get out of it per the dry young man I spoke to at xfinity. I wasn't so upset by contract it was more of how he treated me. read more

What happened to good customer service and it's all about the customer, BS!!! I have been really sick last couple months well found out I have gastroparesis and needed part of my intestines removed, not looking for any handouts in the meantime my hubby had 2 heart attacks and 2 stints put in, yesterday our service was interrupted, it hadn't been pd fair enough but at midnight my husband got pd I asked if I gave them our card number and they could run first thing bc I have to lay here and stare at the walls oh and not to mention the stations we said we wanted we got everything but, the little lady on the phone was rude and didn't speak English very well. In my opinion this is what's wrong with America no one cares you go home to your fancy houses and don't care for the people who have real struggles. When our contract is up we will NOT be using them again but what do you care we are just 1 contract. I HAD to put 1 star not bc it's deserving. read more
