Our first rep changed our package which lowered our monthly bill and she confirmed that the channels that we wanted would still be available. After the phone conversation ended we discovered ALL of the channels that we specifically asked her about were unavailable. Called back. Got a different rep. Went through the entire explanation of what had just occurred. Couldn't get any satisfaction or explanation. Asked to speak to a supervisor who could not have been more uncaring or uninterested in trying to keep a customer. Encouraged him to review the phone recordings (you are recorded each time you call) to help prevent this problem from happening to another customer. According to the supervisor, our only option was to take us back to our previous package at $158/mo. We have an appointment for Xfinity to take over our services at the end of this month and will be disconnecting our DirecTV. You guys just lost years of business from a faithful customer because your customer service sucks!

Their updated interface is horrible, the program guide is impossible to read if your not standing in front of the tv like it's 1965. The bill gets higher and higher and the service gets crappier and crappier. Get DISH TV and save yourself the money and aggravation bc in the end, Direct TV will rip you off and spit you out!

Yeah, I know, I know, phone companies and utilities in general are known for their shady billing practices. But I just thought I'd write for the record... The deal where you get 10mbps service for $34.95 per month for 12 months with a 12 month contract is false advertisement. It should read $34.95 per month for 10 months and $44.95 per month for 2. The reason for this is you are required to sign up for autopay to get the extra $10. But I could not sign up for it until a bill was generated. Once a bill is generated it already has billed for a month, and a prorated month. Then you're first bill will only have a one time $19.00 promotional discount, when it should be $19.00 per month. (two months), basically if I get what they promised, I should have received $60.00 off my first bill. Because the standard price for this package is $63.95 per month. They charged me for two months at $63.95 and only took of $19.00 total (on time). Then they tell you that even though you a paying for a prorated month, they do not take off the extra $10, even though I signed up for autopay the very night the bill was actually generated. I'll be watching my next months bill. He said it would be normal. I felt like if it's not it constitutes a clear breach of contract on their end (oh that's right, these contracts are made to protect THEM), but it doesn't matter any way. In Damascus VA, there is no other choice for high speed. Unless you want to go with Zito and pay $50 per month anyway for an average speed of 0.05mbps. Oh, and it took 1 hour and 25 minutes on the phone (mostly on hold) to score this extra $19.00 taken off my bill. When it should be have been $39.00 off the bill. So I got screwed out of a good amount of time and money.
