I visited the Xfinity store at 1901 Taylor Street, Suite B, Houston, TX 77007 for my appointment at 1pm this afternoon, Saturday, 8/8/26. A female male employee was assigned to assist me purchase new Internet service. As I am a senior citizen with no technological knowledge, poor hearing, and nearly legally blind, I had questioned her repeatedly on every feature, price, term, and requirements on new service to purchase the suitable product for my situation, but she was unimaginably unprofessional, disrespectful, impatient, rude, and abusive. She ridiculed, embarrassed, made me feel stupid, ignorant, insecure, and worthless. When I asked for other staff to assist me, she shouted at me to sit down and take the equipment which I was trying to purchase. When I told her that I made an appointment at 1pm, she yelled at me "Do you want to finish (the purchase) or not?!" As I was very intimidated by her behavior, I responded "Yes" and asked her what I need to do. She ordered me to just sign the purchase agreement. The entire time, the store manager was defending her unacceptable behavior and made me feel that I was wrong to expect better customer service. read more

The workers are not interested in doing their jobs. I returned their router on 7/17/26 and asked that my account be closed. I got bills for June, July and August for $105. I went in to inquire .The man in charge took my receipt dated 7/17 and exchanged it for the current receipt dated 8/23. It turns out that they had not bothered to cancel my service as I'd requested, and tried to cover it up with a new receipt. I got a refund of $40 after being charged $315. Excellent customer service! While all employees were busy when I first walked in, I was promptly greeted and told that someone will be with me shortly. That was refreshing! I was dropping off our WiFi router as we're moving across the country and no longer able to continue using Xfinity's services. They made this process such a breeze! The guy behind the counter scanned a barcode found on the router, checked my ID to confirm my identity and then basically just sent me on my way after I confirmed that they cancelled all future service. Couldn't have been easier! All of the employees were very friendly and polite despite the fact that I showed up 30 minutes before closing and a few more customers walked in behind me. Xfinity is the worst internet service. They didn't bother to run their own line and spliced into another company's with an adaptor. This of course resulted in spotty connection. Trying to get this fixed was a nightmare. I cancelled all services after less than a week and returned all their equipment directly to one of their stores. THEY STILL TRIED TO CHARGE ME A MONTHLY BILL FOR SERVICES I NEVER RECEIVED! I have been a Xfinity customer for over 10yrs and I chose them for internet and tv and have been happy I recently moved only to find that Xfinity has changed and the customer is of no importance. I have received the worst customer service on top of receiving wrong equipment twice. I have been treated horribly by most employees I talked to. My download speed went in the gutter, my latency and jitter have been way too high for video chatting and working on a virtual desk. I have lost income for these two weeks, while Xfinity has sent 7 different techs. The first one advised I buy my own modem, to keep better speeds, so I bought a CAX80 Nighthawk, and paired it with my Lenovo Ideapad 5, built in November 2025. As the next 5 techs came, they upgraded my 40 year old coax cables and each told me my downstream was at 21, and should be at 14. Yesterday, while talking to the 6th tech, I was attacked by a pit bull, bitten, and thrown backward to the ground, injuring my head, as well as needing stitches for my upper thigh. Today, the latest tech came and changed out the broken pedestal components, and yet again, swears its great. Well, per the generic speed test, it does look good, but not when I use my jobs mandatory speed test site, Cloudflare. My modem still says I'm only getting 300 mbps download. As of tomorrow, I will be forced to take a 2 week leave, after which, I will lose my job for an unreliable ride to work. My choice now, either move or lose my career. read more

My review is not location specific but for xfinity customer service in general. I spent hours on the phone trying to understand why I am having service interruption every day around the same time for a couple hours. This guy was not even answering the questions. He was like a robot with generic answer, horrible scripts. What he said was complete opposite of what happened. Next day, none of the tv channels were working. I called and was told that I chose to cancel my plan. These calls and live chat are recorded and no one could go back to the conversation and look at what this useless employee is doing. Worst service ever. Dont evem bother. If you dont want to be on the phone for hours with no results, stay away from xfinity. I downloaded the entire chat transcript. Not a reliable company. Started Xfinity in Feb. 2025, had mulitple outages. In May it would not work, countless resets over the phone - after 15 min. would go out again. NO internet for 1 Month. I was at the Xfinity store three times this week with my cell that is hacked and taken over by an iPhone 16. The last time I went, I was told that they had never seen me in the store! They refused to help me and my  money  and credit cards have been accessed in fraud acts!! I am distraught. I would have thought a company in the business of using copper wire to delivery digital signals to customers would have had some method of monitoring the wire for 'noise' or service interruptions. Seems the best Xfinity can do is have a 'bot tell you it's your problem and you need to reboot your equipment. If the problem disappears during your efforts, there is no problem. The alternative is to insist on a technician who will visit your house in three days, kick the symbolic tires and sell you a rental modem. Service inside the stores is actually decent but they're so busy trying to upsell, they don't actually help with technical issues. If I try to call, I get re-routed multiple times by their oversimplified AI and can't actually solve my issues. Not everything can fit into simple categories. Xfinity customer service is absolutely pathetic. When you dial in to their 800 number or when you try going through the app to actually speak with a human being the AI will not allow you to speak to a human being. The AI will ask you 10,000 questions that are totally non-relevant and when you once again try to speak to a human being it will deny you. If you can't avoid this company please do so. Unfortunately I'm trapped into an apartment complex that has a contract with Xfinity so I don't have a choice myself. The entire situation is quite pathetic.
