Def a must try! Been eye balling this food truck for a good while now when it use to be posted up by Bolsa Grade. Recently seen them post up by Stater Bros on magnolia and since I had to make a stop I finally gave it a shot. I ordered the com tam dac biet (the special plate), it came with soup, plus a small free drink. And wow, I don't know why I waited so long to try this food truck. Wish I tried it sooner. The yellow food truck located next to Westminster Park. It's hidden down the street. It reminded of Vietnam with the tables and stools outside to eat on. I also really like that they open late until 11 PM. We came on a Monday around 10:30 PM and they were sold out of a lot of things, so come earlier. We ordered the Com Tam Plate and the Fresh Crab Soup. The food was so reasonably priced and Com Tam Suon Plate was delicious. The pork chop was flavorful and moist. The Fresh Crab Soup came with a century egg and was filled with quail eggs/ crab and shrimp. They even give you a free side soup and sweet herbal tea. This place is definitely a nice addition to the Little Saigon food scene! I remember when they first started, they were parked right by Bolsa Grande Park. The most recent time I went, they were in the parking lot of the BoA on Westminster. I really like the whole food truck set up. It allows them to grill the pork chops on a charcoal grill. That smoked taste is something that can't be done in a typical restaurant where they're probably cooking on a grill. I usually get the combo here that comes with the pork chop, egg quiche, pickled veggies and an egg. Not only do you get the plate of com tam, you also get a drink and soup! I definitely get full off of one portion. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card after you pay! This is currently my spot when I'm in the mood for com tam. Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants something a little more outside of the typical restaurant taste and feel. read more

First, I should note that this is a food truck. They have bbq grills on a trailer behind the food truck. The smell of the grilling meat as I arrived had my mouth watering. I ordered the pork skewers, the egg rolls and the side of pork rib, which was more like a thin pork chop! For about $20 this was more than enough food. My GF ordered the number 2 plate, which consisted of broken rice, pork chop, shredded pork skin and egg cake. The order was taken and filled fairly quickly. Pretty mid overall for everything I tried. A lot of the meat was inconsistent, some of it was overcooked and dry and some had pretty good flavor and was cooked decently. I got the restaurant special. My cousin got the amigo and was disappointed to realize that it was misleading. The picture had something that wasn't even included in his meal. I forget what it was because I'm making this review a few months after actually having it. I forgot to make a review until now. I still remember the overall experience though because I was very underwhelmed. I guess if the truck is in your area then it's a nice convenience to not have to go too far... I honestly didn't expect much from a food truck, but this spot surprised me in the best way. My friend and I were craving cơm tấm late at night and decided to give it a try. The setup is unique and different, but I came in with an open mind--and I'm glad I did. The guy running the truck even blessed us with free nước mía (sugarcane juice), and it was amazing! Ordered the Amigos broken rice place and a side order of the pork skewers and pickled veggies. Personally don't think the pork chop was anything special but the skewers were amazing. They have a nice char to them and are grilled perfectly. Parked on the sidewalk of Westminster and dishing out Com Tam (which is basically a Vietnamese plate lunch), I would say this food truck does the basics well, for a reasonable price, and very efficiently. I got the Com Tam (broken rice) suong nuong (pork chop) bi (shredded pork) cha (egg loaf) and trung (fried egg). For about $15, it was reasonable and the food came out in minutes. Nuoc mam (fish sauce) was good and the free sweet tea was a nice addition to complete the lunch. I thought the grilled pork chop had a real good grilled taste. Where it was parked this day, there was no where to sit and enjoy the food. I ate on my truck bed, but you could also take it back to work or home. Very simple menu, which is great because they can just specialize and focus on those items. We got two orders of the special combo, $15 each. That's pretty average for a meal now a days and we were pleased with the portion size and what it came with. Everything was pretty tasty and the meat was very flavorful and tender. I just happened to be in the area and saw this food truck. I got the number 1 special which came out to roughly $13ish dollars with tax. The service was quick taking only 10 minutes from ordering to getting my food. They gave me a free small cup of chrysanthemum tea which was delightful on a hot day. The number 1 came with broken rice, pork chop, 1 piece of pork rib, steamed pork cake, shredded pork, fried egg and a side of soup and picked veggies. The pork was very dry and lacking in flavor which was a disappointment since thats the main focus of vietnamese broken.
