Just had a technician come in to service my 2 ACs and find out why the upstairs AC wasn't cooling. Had an attitude from the first instant he saw my furnace. Chastised me repeatedly for work done by whomever I had work on the unit previously. Decided I needed a new thermostat. Disconnected the line from the furnace and then determined the thermostat line was somehow broken. At that point he decided he didn't have time to for this job, I was too busy since I work from home and was on a telephone meeting, and furniture (which he referred to as 'junk') was "piled" in the way (cadenza setting against the wall) and he was leaving and would have someone contact me to set up another appointment. It was 11:30 (lunch time). Now why my being 'busy' with a telephone meeting got in the way of him working, I don't know. I did interrupt and talk with him whenever he needed to, but mostly he just barked things at me and then walked away. Decided I didn't want to have this man doing any more work on my house and said there was no need to make another appointment, that I would pay for what he had done so far and that would the end of it. He responded that this is what he would prefer, making it very clear he did not want to finish the work. Got his equipment, and then I guess after talking to his boss informed there was no charge and left. Left a hole in the wall where the thermostat was removed, thermostat wire disconnected lying on the floor, and the furnace all apart in the basement. My recommendation is to NEVER use William's Heating and Cooling. read more
