He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. DPC Computer Repair to the rescue again!…read more I got tripped up when upgrading my laptop computer to Windows 10, version 1903. After the upgrade, I got a message that the Intel driver for the hard disk needed to be updated. An update was available online but some people were reporting that it would not install correctly if the previous version of the driver were was still there. So, in preparation for the driver update, I renamed the existing driver (rather than removing it). After doing this, I rebooted the laptop so I could install new driver - at least that's what I intended to do. Since I had renamed the existing driver, Windows couldn't find it and therefore couldn't access the hard disk and therefore the computer could not boot up - not even to safe mode. DPC Computer Repair to the rescue. I took my laptop to Adam. He worked his magic - he got the laptop to boot, completed the v1903 install and applied all the available updates. Voila!
