Not sure why all the negative reviews. My usual guy is no longer available so I needed to find a new place. Saw X5 Cuts on yelp and was a bit hesitant to book because of the reviews, but did so anyway and booked with Sam. Walked in 10 mins before my appointment and waited no longer than 5 mins before it was my time. Everyone that was there (about 4 other guys) were all seen in a matter of minutes. No one was waiting. I usually expect my first cut at a new place to be so so until the barber gets comfortable with my hair, but Sam cut my hair like he had been cutting it for years. He made sure everything was great before I walked out and the whole cut took about 20 mins. All in all this is a great shop. Will keep going back. read more

Lucky cut my hair and not only is it choppy but it's uneven. When I arrived I could overhear the barbers speaking in their language going over who would take me. I know when they start speaking something other than English while looking at me there's an issue. Lucky was nice but clearly not a skilled barber. My line is uneven, he tapered the back of my neck poorly, and he kept saying "perfect" while cutting my hair which given the outcome is very disappointing. I have bad luck with barbers anyway but this cut was on my birthday while I was out of town. I have to go to work and through my life with this uneven mess. I'm so embarrassed. I kept touching my head after I left the shop and until today when I had my friend take a picture of it I couldn't tell what was wrong. Now I have to get another cut to fix what I paid for already. I should have just gone elsewhere. He didn't know what a taper was or any style for that matter. My sideburns look like poop too. Like why would you do this to me or anyone? It's hair. You cut hair. Lucky was honest with me and gave his opinion in regards to my previous cut, and he even offered to add a little bit of his own taste - which I really appreciated. This person went on to use a buzzer on my sons side burns and literally there is a line where he cut it off and where the baby hair is visible. The back is crooked and the front looks like a bowel!! Mohammad is by far one of the most professional and stand up barbers I have ever had. Whenever I'm in the downtown area he is the first and only person I book an appointment with. I'm not a big fan of appointments, but I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seated. he likes to treat every client as if it's his wedding day. He will literally spend as much time needed to make sure he does a good job and that you're 100% satisfied. Unfortunately I live about an hour and a half away (two hours with traffic) so I don't go to him as much as I would like to. Similar to another review, I came here after making an appointment: Saturday 9am when the shop was to open. I booked online. Got a confirmation email. I show up and no one is here even though it says on website I can book with Sam or Zee. I wait for THIRTY MINUTES. I call the booking number which no one answers. If you are going to have a booking system it better work. If you have set business hours you better follow them. If you have some reason why no one will come then disable the booking system or post a sign out front. This outfit is so unprofessional. Please go elsewhere. This place is absolute trash. They called me day of to reschedule my appointment because "today is Mike's day off" so I rescheduled for the next day. I walk in yesterday and the "receptionist" at the front desk had no record of me in the system, claimed it was "Mike's day off" again, was shoving Pringles in his mouth talking to me with food in his mouth to the point I couldnt understand him, and was overall so unprofessional. When I asked if there was anyone who could cut my hair at the time they sent me a confirmation email for my appointment, he said "well.....what KIND of haircut do you want?" At that point I just left because you cant reason with stupid. Alright here how it went down. Made an appt for Friday 5:15pm with Moe. I walked in 5:13 and he was still cutting someone's hair and got done at 5:30. He got done and called me over, he did not sweep the old hair but used a hair dryer which is just wrong. Next, he cuts my hair and leave the front longer than the rest of the hair in the back. I wanted a square cut in the back and gave me rounded neck. The comb he used was dirty and his work station was not clean. Lastly, he used a straight razor to clean my neck and Moe didn't even clean the blade. This is very serious because I could have got an infection. He also didn't put and shaving creme which was bad and next day my neck was itchy and irritated. Do yourself a favor AVOIDE THIS PLACE AT ALL COST DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! read more

When I say this man has no business even standing next to a barbershop not to mention cutting hair in one I really mean it. He has absolutely zero experience.
