There is something seriously wrong with Mo. he is borderline abusive in his behavior and terrified both of us. Stay away. I'm not the type of person that leaves reviews (good or bad) but this experience was so horrible, feels like a moral obligation to try and warn customers. This is the worst haircut I have gotten since I used to go to Super Clips in high school and paid $15 all in for a cut. I saw Sam who was one of their 2 more expensive barbers at $55 for a haircut. The appointment was scheduled for 30min, I was in and out in under 20min with the actual haircut part being around 15min. Normally I wouldn't have an issue with the short time if the quality of the cut was good. But it wasn't. The fade was absolutely horrible. He spent more time "lining" me up around my forehead (something I've never had done given the medium length, straight hairstyles I usually go with) than on any other part of the haircut. The only good part was he barely took off anything on the top so I had hair to work with when I went to another barbershop to try and have it fixed. I would only assume the other, less expensive barbers here are even worse. I would absolutely avoid this place. read more

My husband went in for a haircut and a beard trim. They only had time for a beard trim and my husband is leaving for vacation the next morning and took what he could get. When I got home and saw him, his face was completely cut up. Like, red marks on his cheek and open wounds cut up. I am absolutely appalled because my husband gets his haircut about once a month or so and his beard trim with it and this place was by far the worst place I have ever seen him come home from. He is so worried that everyone on his trip and in all his pictures will see this ridiculous abuse. He's going on a bachelor party for his best friend for which he is best man. His face is currently red, cut up, and burning him. I would not recommend anyone to going here to this place. This is absolutely obscene and no one should walk out of anywhere looking like this and paying $30 for just a beard trim. On top of that, as a barber spot located in River North, hiring staff that trims beards like this (or being an owner and trimming beards like this) should be illegal. What a shame. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If we knew his face was going to look like this, he would have just gone with an undone beard. Not worth a single penny. Also, as you can see clearly in the picture, the beard isn't even trimmed evenly. You can see hairs poking out from the bottom. I'm disgusted that someone would do this to someone and charge them for it. Also, they charge an extra $15 (on top of the $30) to use a razor to cut your beard. Total. Ripoff. read more

1.Heavy hands: like it hurt my neck! He shoved my head around like a human mop. He carelessly rubbed the clipper to get the "perfect fade" a million times and hammering the opposite metal end on my shoulders. 2. Unsanitary workplace condition: trash everywhere, disorganized haircut area. Not to mention the dust! 3. Unprofessional worker: my barber's hands reeked of cigarette. He was okay, he did not talk (which I liked) but damn it smelled so bad. He was sitting on the couch when I came in, went to the computer to sign me in, did not wash his hands nor used hand sanitizer. I was barely acknowledged when I was trying to check in for appt. I was not put with the person I requested and was not even told that I would be with a different provider. The provider I was with was the only one dressed casually and not in uniform, so I wondered if they even properly worked there and were qualified. I am quite knowledgeable in shaves and noticed many things "not normal" with this one.. for instance, after the pre-shave cream they started shaving me. They used no brush and lathered soap. They also only shaved down and not against the grain so I still have quite a lot of stubble left everywhere. This is the type of shave I do at home in 5 min with about $1 worth of product. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this to a friend or come back for another $56 service. read more

Convenient spot in River North with experienced barbers and a cool barbershop vibe. I have been going to Goodman's since it opened and every haircut has been fantastic. Scheduling an appointment is very easy and the employees there are social and professional, which makes for a more enjoyable haircut. The barbers get to know you and what you like, while also suggesting different cuts that you might like. They use great hair products, provide a neck shave with each haircut and a hot towel for your face. These little things make their haircuts stand apart from others in the community. They also have a back area for manicures and pedicures, which I have also experienced and which are great. They have other self-care options, like a scalp treatment, that I am planning to try soon. Overall, this place is great and is the go-to spot for me in the city. Would highly recommend it. read more

Been here twice. Hours are convenient and haircuts are good enough in a pinch. Would have been a repeat customer, but customer service is poor . Called ahead to get a last minute clean up and confirmed my arrival time - when I arrived they said they couldn't accommodate me even though it was 30 minutes before closing and there were no more appointments. Man this guy really chopped up my hair good (in a bad way). I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted and he proceeded to do whatever he wanted. For the price that this place is charging their customers, I would expect some sort of premium cut but this guy was no better than Super Cuts. read more
