Another lie by Naval Roy! My 2005 Dodge Power Wagon broke down on me Halloween night of 2018, a Wednesday. On a Thursday after speaking to a local transmission part supply store that recommended Shift Right Transmission Repair in Stockbridge I had my truck towed to the shop, over 20 miles away at a cost of $200. The owner Naval Roy assured me that I would have my truck back in 5 days if I agreed to get it there before the weekend. I spoke to Naval again on Friday and he informed me that the transmission was damaged and in need of repair and a possible case after he removed the transmission pan and inspected it and found aluminum shavings in it. He said he would have the transmission out and disassembled and know the internal damage on Monday. I called again Monday evening and he said he was still in the process of removing the transmission. I was in the area on Tuesday and dropped by to inspect the work progress and found the vehicle still in the parking lot, exactly where the wrecker had dropped it off. Being a retired ASE Master Automobile Technician I inspected the vehicle in the parking lot and found not only had it not been moved into the shop and put on a lift, stored in the shop as promised, the transmission pan had not been removed. Naval lied to me! He promised to keep the truck secured in his shop, it was not. He told me he put it in the shop and removed the pan, he did not. He told me he was in the process of removing the transmission, he was not. When I confronted him about this he did not deny the lies. I had my truck removed within the hour and towed to a reputable transmission repair facility. I was out over $400 in tow fees and wasted 5 days of being without my vehicle while it sat in his parking lot. This guy is a lair and a thief! I will be posting my review everywhere I can and informing the people at ATRA of this individuals shady practices. People like Naval Roy give good technicians a bad name!

Trust me when I share that as the daughter of a shade tree mechanic and sister of a certified ford and diesel mechanic I check everything out even prior to a mechanic lifting the hood. Too many people like to only write bad reviews. Take the time to prepare yourself and have knowledge of your vehicle and parts- you can only be a victim of your own lack of knowledge. Owning as many vehicles as us may place us at an unfair advantage but I would trust Scott with any of our cars and that says a lot considering they are our income and we trust that any repair is handled professionally, correctly and doesn't leave our chauffeurs with a client stranded. I spoke to Leo and he quoted me $2450 for a rebuilt transmission & $3450 for a refurbished. I decided to go with the rebuilt. After arriving to pick up my car with $2450 in hands, he increased the price stating it was $3450 for a rebuilt transmission and $2450 for a refurbished and he smiled the entire time we talked. He doesn't provide anything in writing prior and makes returning the car in 14 days apart of the warranty process, hence bringing the car in for inspection aka to pay the $1000 balance. Please don't trust this guy! He's shady! I just retained an attorney to take legal actions against this company so this won't happen to anyone else.

The dealership wanted 5,000 and I was going to let them do it, but they couldn't tell me when they could get a rebuilt transmission so I went with Techspro. My husband had them replace his transmission and they charged 1950, which I thought was fair. I wondered if they found out the cost at the dealership and thought if I was going to give it to the dealership I should pay them as much. Anyway, my husband's transmission has been fine and mine was fixed pretty quickly. My suggestion is get it in writing. That goes for any repair or work you have done.
