I spoke to the people at ATRA transmission certifications and this shop is not a member and…read moreis not covered by their warranty as is advertised on Shift Right Transmissions website and Facebook pages! Another lie by Naval Roy! My 2005 Dodge Power Wagon broke down on me Halloween night of 2018, a Wednesday. On a Thursday after speaking to a local transmission part supply store that recommended Shift Right Transmission Repair in Stockbridge I had my truck towed to the shop, over 20 miles away at a cost of $200. The owner Naval Roy assured me that I would have my truck back in 5 days if I agreed to get it there before the weekend. I spoke to Naval again on Friday and he informed me that the transmission was damaged and in need of repair and a possible case after he removed the transmission pan and inspected it and found aluminum shavings in it. He said he would have the transmission out and disassembled and know the internal damage on Monday. I called again Monday evening and he said he was still in the process of removing the transmission. I was in the area on Tuesday and dropped by to inspect the work progress and found the vehicle still in the parking lot, exactly where the wrecker had dropped it off. Being a retired ASE Master Automobile Technician I inspected the vehicle in the parking lot and found not only had it not been moved into the shop and put on a lift, stored in the shop as promised, the transmission pan had not been removed. Naval lied to me! He promised to keep the truck secured in his shop, it was not. He told me he put it in the shop and removed the pan, he did not. He told me he was in the process of removing the transmission, he was not. When I confronted him about this he did not deny the lies. I had my truck removed within the hour and towed to a reputable transmission repair facility. I was out over $400 in tow fees and wasted 5 days of being without my vehicle while it sat in his parking lot. This guy is a lair and a thief! I will be posting my review everywhere I can and informing the people at ATRA of this individuals shady practices. People like Naval Roy give good technicians a bad name!

A resounding THANK YOU to Keith and his amazing staff at X-pert Auto Care!…read more After the dealership quoted me a ridiculously high price for something as simple as topping off the fluids in my Kia K5, I called X-pert Auto Care for a second opinion. I'm so glad I did! Keith immediately let me know that the dealership's prices were extremely inflated and told me that if I could get there by closing, he would take care of it. And take care of it he did! When I asked how much I owed him, I was completely surprised when he said, "No charge." Keith, after the day I was having, your kindness, honesty, and generosity meant more than you know. You truly restored my faith in the goodness and integrity of people. Thank you again, Keith! His service record with us is stellar thanks to his honesty and fair price. Trust me when I share that as the daughter of a shade tree mechanic and sister of a certified ford and diesel mechanic I check everything out even prior to a mechanic lifting the hood. Too many people like to only write bad reviews. Take the time to prepare yourself and have knowledge of your vehicle and parts- you can only be a victim of your own lack of knowledge. Owning as many vehicles as us may place us at an unfair advantage but I would trust Scott with any of our cars and that says a lot considering they are our income and we trust that any repair is handled professionally, correctly and doesn't leave our chauffeurs with a client stranded. We can't say this about several other mechanics we have used over the last 10 years. Scott may be a bit brash but he is true to his word and knows his business.
