A friend of a friend recommended KMS to me to work on my car. Initially I had minimal interactions with them, so didn't know what to think. Later on I found out, they are very responsive, quick, timely, and informative. They provide a wealth of knowledge so you understand the problem and their recommendation solution. The actual facility is very nice and clean. They provide snacks, water, and coffee while you wait. The front office manager, Andre is very people friendly. He makes every customer feels like the only customer. Kenny, the owner, is also super down to earth and doesn't mind jumping in to assist where needed. This shop has a crazy way of doing things, called to get a repair done on a bmw and they basically charge you an "diagnostic fee" of $180 just for them to quote you on labor...I know exactly what I wanted done and all I needed was a labor price for what I want. I don't need it diagnosed, It's unfortunate, but now another shop can get this $3500+. What a dumb concept for a shop. Seems like I dodged a ripoff! read more

Very satisfied. This review is way over due. I took my 2014 BMW 328i here in January 2025 for an oil leak. They did a complete diagnostic and labeled the most to least important. My husband and I decided to have them work on what was high priority, which was taking care of the oil leak. I dropped my car off on Monday and had it back Wednesday. They changed the oil pan and valve cover. They also informed us that the timing chain needed to be changed so they changed that as well. I picked my car up on a Wednesday and noticed the smell of gas. There was now a gas leak. Although my car was drivable I didn't want to risk it so I was able to get it towed back to them. They were very apologetic about the gas leak as it was a mistake on their end. They ordered the piece that had been cracked and replaced it and I was able to get my car back the same day. It has been 4 months and my car is in great condition. Although it was a little expensive which is expected for service to a BMW, it was worth every penny. I highly recommend anyone with a foreign car to check out KMS. read more

Nice guys but the service is what's important. Took my bmw x3 in for gasket cover repair. They charged extra for diagnosing and included the fee toward the repair cost. $2200. later the vehicle is returned to me with the service light on. The service light wasn't on to begin with. I spoke with Kenny and without getting into details, he said he would take care of it. That was in February. Since then I've had to take it to other places. Changed the plugs thinking the original oil leak damaged the plugs-light remained on. Went to see another mechanic and after standing around and chatting, he noticed the PCV hose was unplugged. This explained the codes and service light. So apparently the rush job that was done at KMS was the problem. The reason I write rush job is because Kenny admitted they were swamped and pulled my vehicle in a corner and didn't put it on the lift to do the repairs. So... the mechanic that saw the problem refuses to touch it and recommend that I go back to KMS. The only problem with that is I've left phone messages, emails and Kenny hasn't returned any messages since February. What's very odd is that these guys don't come off as scams, however it's feeling scam ish and not wanting to be accountable- strictly getting to the money rather than incorporating integrity. KMS has been my BMW mechanic for years! He is honest and, as a entrepreneur straight out of Nalley BMW knows EXACTLY what he's doing. He's worked on my 2010 Z4 handling regular maintenance and issues that canes up later years. I purchased a 2017 430i convertible in 2019. In 2023 (after having run hot anti-freeze issue recall repaired by BMW in 2021) my car started overheating again. I took it to the dealer. Though they were nice, they told me the oil housing failed & it would be like $3600 to fix, but since that happened there is 75% probability that ENGINE is damaged and needs to be replaced. COST-$23K!! (I should've mentioned I had the water pump replaced by then 1.5 mos before!) I IMMEDIATELY called Ken at KMS. He towed my car to the shop, repaired the oil housing, drove it for over 100+ miles to make sure no over heating AND gave me a WARRANTY - not to mention KMS fixed the oil housing for 1/3 plus less. I really debated if I wanted to write this review, but the more I think about my experience here, the more I get frustrated and disturbed. I feel that I was fully taken advantage of at this shop. I took my car there because my car was losing coolant and was getting to the point where it was unsafe to drive. I get there, and they tell me that there's a $160 diagnostic fee, and they decides towards the repairs if I decide to get it fixed there - no problem because that's pretty standard. I finally got the quote for repairs and was in shock at how much it was because it was only about $50 less than what the dealership quoted. At this point, I really had no choice, so I agreed and left my car. I went to pick my car up on next Monday and paid the remainder of the $2900. I leave and everything seems fine. A few days later, the engine came on, which is concerning because I've had the car for over 3 years and the light had never come on. I call and tell them, and they tell me to bring it back in. I took it back in, and they charged me another diagnostic fee of $160. I was frustrated, but I agreed because I'm not confrontational and just wanted the light out. About an hour later, they sent me a quote for another $450!! I couldn't believe it. I feel that the light came back on because of the repairs that they had done a few days prior, and I should not have had to pay another diagnostic fee or for additional repairs. I feel that something was intentionally done because they had just worked on my engine and the components around my engine and a few days later the engine light was on. I was so frustrated, but I agreed to pay the additional money because I need my car to be fully functional, and I need to be able to reduce emissions, which is coming up soon. I was excited because I really thought that I had found an honest and reliable auto shop where I could get my car when I had issues, but I'm just not sure at this point. To this very day, my car is not working and I cannot even drive it. The initial repair was done in December. The coolant will not stay in at all and I now have a huge oil leak. They stopped taking my calls after I called back to let them know that I was still having issues. Out of over $3500 and I cannot even drive my car!! Very disappointing. read more

Took my bmw 650i in because I was having trouble with the drivers headlight, the told me it was the igniter , but after paying 1000 to tell me that that wasn't the problem and I need a new headlight. Installed a used one which was defective. Had to take car back. Then got it back and the passenger side headlight was not working. Took it back only for them to tell me I now needed a passenger headlight. Got a second opinion from the dealership only to find out that the components for the headlight we missing. Contacted kms but didn't receive any resolution. read more
