While fast forward to a few years later, when I became a serious golfer and went in the place. It is a lesson, practice, and golfsmith shop all in one. I have been taking lessons there for three years and love the place. It is clean and tries to stay up to date with technology and always have the latest equipment and services available for you. This place is a godsend during winter. I play around 60-70 rounds in the summer so when it gets cold and I can't play I start getting stir crazy. I go here at least once a week during the winter to practice in their simulator and "play" courses and take lessons. This helps keep the swing going through the winter and makes sure I come out firing. Anyone looking for lessons or to find a place besides the domes to hit balls definitely try it out.

They have ample picnic tables and Adirondack chairs and fireplaces if you really want to get cozy. The Cafe Corazon food truck was also posted outside which was a welcome suprise (but sadly, they left super early before we could grab tacos...I think they were gone by 6:30pm, not sure if that's normal or if they were having issues). When we walked indoors to rent our equipment, the surprises continued. It was clean and so cute, decorated with fun seasonal decor & lights - they must have had 20+ ice cream flavors to choose from (can't wait to bring my kids back) and the checkout process was quick and easy. Right indoors is a full-service bar as well so we grabbed a half bottle of Whitehaven and hit the course. The mini golf course itself is laid out really nicely, holes are challenging and fun. Our favorite feature of this course though were the game spinners they had at most holes. They made you do funny things like balance on one foot when you shoot, close your eyes for the first shot, roll the ball with your hand, etc. It made the experience even more fun and super silly, we were giggling the whole time. Overall the course took us about an hour for 2 and we were playing leisurely. Seriously cannot wait to go back - it was a blast with my girlfriend, would be a great date night/double date night or outing with your fam. Such an awesome spot to have nearby!

One of the great things about GolfTec is the ability to practice indoors if the weather is bad or also during the winter. But there is also on course coaching & lessons at a golf range. My kids had a day off of school so I took my boys who are beginners to a two hour bay rental. We were greeted when we entered and the place is very relaxing. The host helped us set up the simulator and asked if we needed anything. Great service. The simulators (8 of them) are great and fairly private which was nice as I had 3 kids with me. Our bay had great recliners and we were able to enjoy our time there. We ordered a bunch of appetizers for food and they all came out hot and we're great to share. Overall the food we ordered was not 5 star but I wasn't expecting that. They have a full bar too which is great to have as well. Overall, STIX is a great place to visit for any level of golfer and a friendly environment. We had a great time there and I love that it is locally owned! The only thing I wished was there were more bays and more open times as it seems to always fill up! I know in the last year they already expanded bays and are adding a small pro shop. One kid ordered a BBQ chicken wrap without the BBQ sauce or tomatoes and got fries for the side, my wife and other kid split a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza, and I got a Caesar chicken wrap with sour cream cheddar cheese tater tots for my side. We also got mozzarella sticks and wings with a sweet and sassy BBQ sauce. The mozzarella sticks were Italian breaded, which I like. They tasted good, but $9.50 for seven sticks that are on the smaller side is a bit much. The wings, however, were great. Decent size and you get 10 of them for $12. The older kid that didn't want BBQ sauce in his wrap ended up enjoying two of the wings, which has a subtle kick to the sauce. We'd get these again. The pizza had a little too much sauce, but it wasn't hard for my wife to scrape off some of it. She and the younger kid both like the pizza, which is good because the younger one can be quite picky at times. Both the older kid and I enjoyed our wraps.
