Great course. Very challenging and pretty Arnold Palmer course. Carts have GPS and USB. Several bathrooms on course and halfway house. Great staff.

Beautiful, challenging golf course. Great rates too! Used just about every club in the bag.

Very nice course, good layout. Well maintained and managed. The course is challenging enough for every skilled golfer.

    Fire Ridge Golf Club

This is very hard for me to say as I grew up at Wisconsin Country Club getting summer lessons since…read moreGod knows when. As you might know this course became public and called Fire Ridge. The ownership after WCC took great care of the course and made it feel like nothing changed. Fast track to today and it is absolutely horrific. The grounds crew is not keeping this course in shape so it sucks. They don't serve food, you can only rely on the turn. Beverage cart, saw once playing 18. This is the first time in history where I felt paying this amount for golf did not live up to its standards. I would not waste your money here. This golf course will be sold off to build apartments in the next year, you heard it here first. 1/10

Cart girl was awesome, and they have a little Halfway house for snacks and drinks by the 1st/10th. Just a few things that can make it 4 or 5 stars. Unless they're short on grounds staff because of Covid, there's a few little things that they can do to be better. - Carts. I had a cart the had the battery light on, barely made it thru 9 holes, and it had a hole in the roof. How does that happen?:) Hope there are new carts in their future. - the sand to fill divots. They had the bottles, but on all the carts, and by the clubhouse, were all empty. Just laying around. It feels wrong not to fill divots etc but they're not giving anyone a chance to help. Just a few little tweaks to make this course a great one.

Missing Links Driving Range and Miniature Golf

OK let me tell you about Missing Links - we had THE best girlfriend outing playing mini golf here!…read moreSeeing it from the streets is a little underwhelming, but right as you pull up I was immediately impressed by their outdoor patio/seating area. They have ample picnic tables and Adirondack chairs and fireplaces if you really want to get cozy. The Cafe Corazon food truck was also posted outside which was a welcome suprise (but sadly, they left super early before we could grab tacos...I think they were gone by 6:30pm, not sure if that's normal or if they were having issues). When we walked indoors to rent our equipment, the surprises continued. It was clean and so cute, decorated with fun seasonal decor & lights - they must have had 20+ ice cream flavors to choose from (can't wait to bring my kids back) and the checkout process was quick and easy. Right indoors is a full-service bar as well so we grabbed a half bottle of Whitehaven and hit the course. The mini golf course itself is laid out really nicely, holes are challenging and fun. Our favorite feature of this course though were the game spinners they had at most holes. They made you do funny things like balance on one foot when you shoot, close your eyes for the first shot, roll the ball with your hand, etc. It made the experience even more fun and super silly, we were giggling the whole time. Overall the course took us about an hour for 2 and we were playing leisurely. Seriously cannot wait to go back - it was a blast with my girlfriend, would be a great date night/double date night or outing with your fam. Such an awesome spot to have nearby!

The only downside is that there's not a ton of shaded areas which was tough for a 95 degree day. But it was a blast!

Hundreds - literally, hundreds - of times. That's how many times I've driven past this place only…read morehalf-knowing or half-caring what it was."There's that place with the big fence and all the trees and it's some club or golf course or who the hell cares!" Situated on Good Hope & 43rd, Tripoli Country Club exists, and for what or why I never much cared before last weekend. "Oh, old rich dudes golf there? Great. Awesome. Just kidding... because BORE-ING!" "Oh, rich housewives who make jewelry in their spare time come here to drink massive amounts of Chardonnay and gossip and pretend to play tennis? EXCELLENT. JUST FABULOUS." But, as per has become more of a norm than not as of late, I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment this past weekend as I was invited to attend a wedding wherein I knew ostensibly no one. Not a singular person, save for my super-handsome date, Yelp photog extraordinaire Mister Luke R. So why, exactly, did I change my tune? What made me go from country club hatin' and beratin' to "Yay! I'm a fan?" Ambiance: Sure, it's a country club, and has all the trappings of such. Only slightly dated in decor, Tripoli rocks all the trappings and fixings of the nature: warm woods, patterned carpets, a "cloak" room, high-backed chairs, white tablecloths, slipcovers, leather, fake flowers, all of that. But honestly? It was all pretty tasteful. And the banquet hall? High ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows on the back wall overlooking the golf course... quite elegant, actually. SERVICE: This is where this place, as a venue, shone through to no end. The constant attention to detail and team service during cocktail hour as well as the dinner left me quite impressed. Every whim attended to, every coffee cup refilled, no glass of bubbly left not replenished. The bartenders were friendly and helpful and dealt with me well even after my fourth drink, and the GM? Rounds and rounds and rounds to ensure everyone's satisfaction. Total win. Verdict? A great venue, truly, for a banquet, wedding, or upscale event. Maybe they'll even consider hosting a Yelp party? Eh? Whaddya say, Tripoli?
