Let me first off say look at the pics I took, it is a beautiful course. I was very impressed that the base can support and maintain something this nice. At the same time our men and women in the military deserve it and much more. Upon walking up to the entrance I did notice that power washing was needed on the white brick as it was turning light green with run off from above trees. Lobby had nice carpeting and paint on the wall that was presentable. The Pro area was nice and appears they have what you need. A sale was going on to close out many items at cost. The concessions area was HUGE and had a TV. An outdoor eating area was right off the inside concessions area. They were serving a lunch buffet on this day. Men's room had a foul odor and badly needed updating with some medal areas rusting. They do offer a driving range with around 10-12 spaces. Parking at the facility is tight when busy. I would love to come back and play the course with it beautiful rolling hills, big trees that hang over the fairways and well manicured greens. Good job Eagle Haven maintenance crew.

I took the hour drive to play golf here not knowing anything about the course conditions. I must…read moresay that I was pleasantly surprised. The greens keeper staff were out collecting aeration plugs and keeping the course in great condition throughout the day. The course itself has some very challenging holes. Many par 4's and par 5's have greenside bunkers making bad approach shots punishable. There are some water hazards but most don't come into play and add to the scenic beauty. Pro staff were friendly and the cafeteria was welcoming. Had a cheeseburger after my round. Was so good. Cypress Creek Golfer Club is definitely a hidden gem. Mid week mornings is just over $62 and worth it.

Affordable cost @ $25 per golfer (included 18 holes and cart use) obviously helped the fundraising bottom-line. Fairways, greens and cart paths were in acceptable shape for that price point. While out of their control, know there are times players are prepping to swing while next to chain-linked fences with obnoxious barking dogs. There are also points where you're sharing roads/travel paths with local traffic, similar to other public courses. Facilities are notably dated but the spaces we occupied were relatively clean. There's a small practice green and driving range on-site. It was super easy working with their golf-pro Adam to coordinate the play aspect; he was thorough and accommodating with any needs that arose. Unfortunately, requiring events to use in-house food/beverage vendors that lack communication and execution became a perennial drawback. Inflated cost is expected because of the convenience factor. That said, limited selection coupled with poor service and delivery ($50 for a small plate of store bough chips-a-hoy cookies) is inexcusable. I had to send out search parties in multiple years for the contracted beverage cart employee on days seeing 85-90 degree temps. Over time, our players voiced displeasure traveling to Portsmouth and a desire to pay a little more for a better playing experience.

We had 3 in our group and were paired up with a single which worked out nicely. They were having some issues with their card machine but it was worked out by the time we got to the turn. Course was forgiving, mostly open although they had some water throughout and mature trees which made for some scenic holes. Greens were mostly in good shape. They have a driving range and a decent sized putting green. Prices were reasonable at about $50 per person including rental clubs. They have a small grill that offered a light breakfast and lunch and some goods/equipment for sale in the pro shop. Course attendant was friendly and as well all in the Pro shop. I wanted to sit outside on their patio to reflect, watching the players coming in, and enjoying a cold IPA. This day was a bit chilly and couldn't stay out there long however, the time I did have was lovely reminding me of how cool of a club house it is on top of a wonderful golf course I really enjoyed playing. Pound for Pound (without being able to play on private courses), this one is probably my favorite to play in the area. I do feel the clubhouse is a bit outdated but it does capture the essence of a true "golfclub" vibe you would expect from a traditional club. You clearly see the local members enjoying their time for lunch or turning the nine. I have tried a few items as far as food and wouldn't say it's amazing. it does the trick for fuel but nothing over the top. Haven't tried dinner so I can't speak on that but they do have a full bar. Of course it is on the pricy side as usual for clubhouses but it wasn't terrible. The pro shop did have a goof feel to it and layout with lots of items you could purchase. Overall, I love the golf course and facility that is kept in good shape however I do feel the clubhouse and vibe, although traditional in nature, could use a little "sprucing up" as it does feel dated but... a lot of times, that is what traditional golfers want to remember and not change up. If you like that vibe with the wood lockers, dark green, traditional vibe, this place is perfect. As far as the golf course, condition, and layout, this is a must try course if you haven't. Prices are much more reasonable after a certain time but witih all courses and prices, you are going to pay no matter where you go unfortunatley. Very enjoyable place you would probably keep on your radar for play if you can afford it.
